ONE BAY AREA: Marin County, San Rafael, Ca. ANGRY citizens versus local Government!
In April and May of 2011 One Bay Area had hosted public input meetings and an additional set of in January 2012 to showcase their vision and to solicit public feedback. This is one of those meetings.
Lead by Heather Gass, concerned citizens were irate with this propose plan and the unfair and manipulative manor in which the meetings are conducted - known as the Delphi Technique.
Agenda 21 is the Master Plan put forth by the United Nations in 1992 and adopted by President Bill Clinton. Agenda 21 is a green initiative which targets cars and people living outside from cities who must commute. Their goal is to develop large, congested city centers for people to reside, and provide mass transit for the city dwellers to commute to work. It also targets large parcels of land in the world, including the United States, to be redistricted to open space land, thereby making it undevelopable.
Agenda 21 was readily adopted in California by liberal politicians, specifically in the San Francisco Bay Area, under the name Plan Bay Area. Plan Bay Area's goal is to develop large congested downtown metro areas, with shops, stores, theaters, and mass high rise housing. They aim to get people out of their private suburban residences and cars, and warehouse them in these large metro areas. These areas will also house California's large illegal immigrant population.

Marin County - The Modern Miracle
Marin County is located in the Bay Area north of San Francisco across the Golden Gate Bridge and is one of California smallest counties. The county invested in land conservation very early on, so there is a ton of open space. Some call Marin the center of the nation’s organic farming movement. Visually it’s stunning and peaceful, considering across the bridge is one of the largest, lively cities in the unites states. Marin's filming locations range from rocky coastlines to ranches, rolling hills and redwood groves.

San Rafael Police Department:
Author: Lt. Dan Fink #447
Date: June 19, 2019 3:48 PM
Case Number: SR18-06261
Officer Involved Shooting Video Released
On August 5, 2018 at approximately 9:00 PM, Faramarz Aghazadeh was in the area of Verdi Street and Lisbon Street in San Rafael, CA. Aghazadeh had a knife in one hand and a pair of shears in the other. SRPD Officers contacted Aghazadeh. He refused to surrender and put down his weapons.
For about thirty minutes, Officers talked to Aghazadeh and attempted to gain his compliance. They used multiple de-escalation techniques in an effort to avoid using force. During the negotiation, Aghazadeh stopped listening to Officers and moved from his location on Verdi Street towards Belvedere Street. Officer Kevin MacDougald of the San Rafael Police Department and Deputy Jaime Rodarte of the Marin County Sheriff’s Office were near the intersection of Verdi and Belvedere as Aghazadeh approached their location.
Deputy Rodarte saw that Aghazadeh had weapons in his hands and was advancing on his position. He gave verbal commands for Aghazadeh to stop. Aghazadeh ignored Deputy Rodarte’s requests to stop. Deputy Rodarte fired multiple less lethal projectiles from a shotgun in an attempt to stop Aghazadeh. The less lethal projectiles had no effect on Aghazadeh. Aghazadeh sprinted towards Deputy Rodarte, coming within several feet. Officer MacDougald fired three rounds from his duty weapon in an attempt to stop Aghazadeh’s armed assault of Deputy Rodarte. All of Officer MacDougald’s rounds struck Aghazadeh. Medical treatment was provided at the scene by law enforcement personnel. Aghazadeh was transported by San Rafael Fire Personnel to Marin General Hospital.
Aghazadeh survived his injuries and pled guilty to Assault on a Police Officer and Obstructing or Resisting a Police Officer. On May 5, 2019, he was sentenced to three years and eight months in prison by Superior Court Judge Kelly Simmons.
Since this case has been adjudicated, the San Rafael Police Department is providing a video of the event to the public. Chief Diana Bishop stated, “no peace officer ever wants to use force, especially deadly force. The actions of both Officer MacDougald and Deputy Rodarte were appropriate responses to a dangerous and volatile situation.” The video is available at

Hike | Marin County's Newest Trail - 680 Trail | Part 1
Marin County's Newest Trail - 680 Trail Part 1 - This is a hiker, biker & dog (on leash only) friendly trail. This beautiful trail opened in (May 2012). This video was also shot in (May 2012). The trail is located in the vicinity of Terra Linda (a community of the City of San Rafael) in Marin County. It connects the Loma Alta Preserve with the Terra Linda/Sleepy Hollow Divide Open Space Reserve.
And don't forget to treat this trail with absolute respect (like all the outdoors). The amount of work and intensive planning to make this trail happen was absolutely incredible. Hats off and deep respect to all that made this wonderful trail to be.
Enjoy...
166 Bayview Dr. San Rafael
Not too far up the hill leads to a gated long drive that opens onto a private knollside setting with spectacular Bay views. The views sweep from the bay waters to Glenwood, Peacock gap and China Camp open space. The mature surrounding greenery and vegetation enhance the feeling of being “out in nature” and away from it all.
The 3+ bedroom/2.5 bath (2877 sq ft per tax records) contemporary residence features the vast majority of living on one level with convenient access to patios, gardens and extensive decking. Vaulted ceilings, walls of windows/sliders and an open floor plan bring the outdoors and breathtaking views in. Relax and enjoy a glass of wine from the spa or warm yourself on a chilly evening by the outdoor fireplace. The generous decking and patios are ideal to spread out for solitude or congregate for a great entertaining environment.
The interior has been recently renovated: all 3 newer baths, new paint, carpet and light fixtures. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances, gas cooktop and granite counter opens to the living room with vaulted ceilings, recessed lights, gas log fireplace and walls of dual pane windows. The family/dining combination enjoys a wood-burning fireplace and sliding or French doors to decks and patios on both sides of the house. The stone fireplace and patio is wind protected for your outdoor enjoyment on a cozy night.
The master bedroom has its own deck and spa, vaulted ceilings and a sitting or exercise area. The sitting area leads to the only upstairs space which makes an “eagle’s nest” home office – quiet, private and big views. Or this can be a nice guest or possible in-law currently with a half-bath (note: it has its own deck and separate entry). All rooms throughout the house have their own outdoor access and a varied, special view.
A private gate and fenced yard minimizes unwanted deer. Several level areas provide your choice of relaxation or your favorite recreational activity. Trees include majestic oak, mature palm, curly willow, acacia, bay, manzanita and a variety of fruit trees. Terraced gardens provide easy access to bringing your ripe vegetables from farm to table.
There is generous parking at the base of the driveway and in front of the house. There is additional built-in storage. A few items of note: radiant heat provides a clean and efficient way. The roof is newer.
Outside of your own private sanctuary, you continue up Bayview Drive to the entrance to China Camp State park, about a 10 min walk: you will find a hiking/biking trail that can either loop around for a 45 minute calorie burner or continue up the hills for miles and miles of trails above San Rafael Country Club, Loch Lomond and into the China camp open space. Gorgeous views onto both sides of the Point San Pedro Peninsula. East Bay, San Pablo Bay, San Rafael Bay and San Francisco Bay. 2 bridges, the Marin Islands and Mt. Tam.
The Point San Pedro Peninsula also features a brand-new “Andy’s Neighborhood Market, Loch Lomond Marina, yacht club, McNear’s beach park, Peacock Gap Country Club golf course and driving range, event center and caf. 2 miles to town provides Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, great shopping, restaurants, theatre and live entertainment. This is amongst the quickest 2.5 miles from house to 101 of anywhere in the county – minimal traffic and stop lights.
If you love nature and beauty and would like to enjoy a vacation vibe minutes from civilization, please contact Jeff and the Sterley Team for more information or a private showing. 415-359-4871

17 minute drive through Marin County along HWY 1 (gopro hero 3 test)
A few friends and I decided to set out in search of some surf north of San Francisco. We mounted a gorpo (hero 3 black edition) to the hood of the car and recorded the journey. This video highlights roughly 17 minutes along the historic and majestic Pacific Coast Highway or HWY 1. I opted not to include an audio track. Feel free to play your own music concurrently or turn on the radio for that in car experience. Watch a few minutes or watch the entire video. Last stop Stinson Beach.
The PCH stretches nearly the entire California coastline and depending on what stretch your on it's called the PCH, the Great Highway, Cabrillo Highway, Shoreline Highway, or Coast Highway. It's all the same CA state route 1. It's a beautiful drive and this portion, through Marin County, is particularly picturesque. This was shot on a sunny winter day. The hillsides are green and the clouds in the sky are quite nice. Keep your eyes peeled for California Condors, cyclists, hikers and the quintessential coastline.
This video is primarily a test video but it was so beautiful that I had to post it
