5 foot Rattle Snake found in Island West / Bluffton SC
Justin saw this guy in our backyard Thursday 6/13/14 2 feet from a Chiuauah we were babysitting. Heroically, Justin saved the dog & got his dad (aka big daddy snake slayer) and that snake was history!

SOUTH CAROLINA ALLIGATOR ???? | Charleston SC Neighborhood
In this episode of Skinner TV, Mike has an encounter with the neighborhood alligator.
Val explains what it was like to move to the south in Charleston South Carolina in the land of alligators even though she never really expected to see one.
Mike was adding grass clippings to a brush pile outside of the fence when the neighborhood alligator decided to come out from the retention pond with what looked like bad intentions.
The alligator came up to our fence to stare at us a bit more before climbing up to the gate in a crouching position.
The alligator is too small to climb over the fence, and it did go back into the pond, but it has never gotten that close to us before.

As much as I love blogging, I’ve grown to love documenting my life through video over the past few years. Back in 2015 I had 2 Youtube channels where I documented life through living in Hawaii, opening a restaurant and all the challenges that came along with being married to someone in the military.
SkinnerTV was started in 2015 as a way to document our life through the huge change of finding out we were moving from the place we met and got married (Hawaii) all the way to our cross country move to Charleston SC.
As our life grows even more with a baby boy on the way and Mike’s eventual separation from the military, I wanted to make sure we were documenting our adventures once again and so SkinnerTV has been revived in 2019!

2012 Kayaking South Carolina's Low Country.mov
This was a Road Scholar (Elderhostel) program during which we kayaked 4 local rivers in the area around Knowles Island, South Carolina, which is in the Broad River. A dramatic presentation by Kim Poovy as Emma and a demo of sweetgrass baskets by Michael Smalls were highlights of the week, as were the barbecue suppers provided by a concurrent RS program led by BBQ master JT.
First Rattlesnake of My S.C. Adventure
This is a rattlesnake that my supervisor, Will, was actually tagged by on the foot. Luckily he was wearing snake boots and was not envenomated. Beautiful animal, but obviously one to be respected. I stayed a safe distance and used the zoom! O_O

This video is from an afternoon fishing trip around Tybee Island. It was a nice peacefull kayak trip until I got down by the shrimp boats. Their was a guy grinding old paint off his boat and repainting. That is the noise you hear twords the end. A beautiful march day that reached 80 degrees. The fish weren't biting but it was still a nice day on the water. :)
