Lake Mirimar Fishing
We had our first visit to Lake Mirimar. Below is a section taken on their website. Lake Miramar is a reservoir located in the Scripps Miramar Ranch community of San Diego, California. Activities include boating, fishing, picnicking, and the use of an over 5 mile long trail wrapping around the lake. There are 18 barbecues and 48 picnic tables for family outings. Self contained gas barbecues are allowed in designated areas. Ground fires, glass containers and camping are not allowed at the park. Fishing is allowed all year. Lake Miramar is stocked with largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, channel catfish, sunfish and trout. The minimum size limit for bass is 15 inches and 10 inches for crappie. Fish limits are five bass, five catfish, five trout, 25 crappie and bluegill in aggregate, with no limit on other species. Fishing permits are available at the concession and at the Iron Ranger pay stations (exact change required). You must be have a California State Fishing license if you are 16 years of age or older. Open Space Rescue (San Diego)
San Diego Fire-Rescue Department and American Medical Response on scene of an open space rescue on Adams Avenue.
An adult male fell down the steep hillside at the end of Adams Avenue and suffered a head injury an off duty San Diego County Sheriff's Deputy riding his bike in the neighborhood was alerted of the incident by witnesses and made his way down to the patient to render medical aid until paramedics could arrive. The patient was air lifted to the hospital in serious condition.

Clairemont: Canyon Helicopter Rescue 09022017
At approx 12:15 pm, a resident on Feather Ave., walked into his backyard and onto his deck, looked down into the kitchen and saw a man lying in a patch of poison oak. He went to his house for a pair of binoculars and saw the man was in distress. The resident called 911. SDFD Firefighters arrived and had to use a rope to head down the steep hillside to reach the victim. The SDFD Rescue 2 Helicopter was called in to lift the man out of the canyon and medivac him.
The Helicopter took the man to the Clairemont High School parking lot and transferred the victim to an ambulance and he was transported to Scripps La Jolla. No information on his condition or what happened to him in the canyon is known at this time.
HMH-465 has morale boosting hike
Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 465 went on a five-mile hike aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., Dec. 13. During the hike, the Marines held committed and engaged leadership classes and were surprised with CS gas on their return trip.
Phoenix Arizona to San Diego California
Drive from Phoenix Arizona to San Diego California. This is a 6 hour video condensed into 36 minutes. The drive took me from Peoria Arizona, on State Route 101, to Interstate 10 into California. Once in California, I took SR-60 to the 215, and merged to I-15. I exited in Escondido and took a shortcut through Del Dios on State Route 6 past Lake Hodges and the Dam. From there I entered Rancho Santa Fe and made it back to Encinitas.
