Morro Strand State Beach - Morro Bay, California
Morro Strand State Beach - Morro Bay, California
Morro Bay. Morro Rock. Strand beach. Morro Strand state beach.
Easter weekend spent at Morro Bay. The best camping trip so far. The weather was cold and breezy just the way I love it. A little sun in the afternoon but all of the damp ocean atmosphere that you would expect this time of year. This trip I shot video and these images with only my Smart Phone. iPhone 5 and Used BeFunkey on my cell, image editor from the app Store to enrich the colors and contrast. No shortage of image materiel At Morro Bay for creating artistic imagery.

Morro Bay State Park Campground in Morro Bay California features a lagoon and natural bay habitat. The park offers partial RV hookup and tent sites in a scenic and popular setting. Easy access to the Bay for kayaking and miles of scenic cycling roads the park is located in the heart of California’s Central Coast. Surfers also flock to the areas excellent breaks. Campsites are situated in an open and grassy setting in one area while the RV sites in another have bush dividers for privacy (pull thrus too). Not too much privacy for tent campers due to the setting but good spacing allows for some separation from neighbors.
The dump station is located on a loop near the park residence. Due to the tight corner it can limit the size of RV that is able to dump.
The municipal golf course is adjacent.

Morro Dunes RV Park Morro Bay, California December 3, 2017
Morro Dunes RV Park in Morro Bay, California was awesome in December!
We stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed the fantastic scenery of Morro Rock and the beautiful beaches. However, on day two, there was some wind....
We are full time RVers and really appreciate great places on the California coast line this time of year. We paid $54 for two of us with two small dogs.
The small town of Morro Bay had the parade of lights going on while we were here, but we lost all footage! We'll work to provide more videos of California beaches as we work our way up and down the coast!
We highly recommend Camping America's Guide to Free and Low-Cost Campgrounds: Includes Campgrounds $12 and Under in the United States (Don Wright's Guide to Free Campgrounds) Paperback – April 15, 2014 Take a look.

Welcome to our YouTube channel, Follow Your Wanderlust! Where we share some of our adventures, work camping tips and favorite spots.
We are Anja and Bob and we have been together for 28 years, we both have been born with the Wanderlust Gene and can't get enough of wandering and exploring this beautiful world. We have lived in California, New Mexico, Colorado and Hawaii, but have wandered many states and countries. We are Full-Time RV-ers and travel and work camp in a 2010, Winnebago View 24A Diesel Sprinter. We like to bring our 2012 Jeep Wrangler unlimited with us to explore where the RV can't go. We are not retired yet so we have to work on the road, we work camp at National parks, Forest Service and State parks and design some t-shirts and stickers and make some jewelry that are inspired by our travels. We will be selling those on our new website soon. We enjoy boon docking in nature or dry camping off grid along the ocean, in deserts and in the mountains. Our other passion is searching for treasures, one of those is a real Treasure Chest hidden by a fascinating gentleman named Forrest Fenn. We have been searching since 2013 and have filmed a few of our searches for you, so you can come along for the Thrill Of The Chase. Put Life On Coast... in Morro Bay CA
Morro Bay Travel Guide | California Travel Tips
California travel journalist Veronica Hill shares her Morro Bay travel guide in this episode of California Travel Tips.
My friends and I are here for a girls getaway, and we're packing in as many sights as possible in the 48 hours we're here. At Morro Strand State Beach, you can fly a kite, go horseback riding, or look for sand dollars along the shore.
But we're here for the kayaking, and we can't wait to start exploring. The sea lions are adorable, but we're hoping to spot some resident sea otters, who can be found wrapping themselves in the kelp near Morro Rock.
After all that exercise, we're famished, and the seafood here is as fresh as it gets. Morro Bay Fish Company is bringing in their daily catch of black cod and buckets of live Dungeness Crab.
After slurping down some oysters at Dockside Too, we head over to Giovanni's for some hot clam chowder. We spend the rest of the afternoon shopping along the Embarcadero, then hit Stax Wine Bar for a tasting of local wines.
If you don't mind a short drive, head to dinner in Cayucos, a coastal beach town that dates back to the 1800s. Although it's famous for the Brown Butter Cookie Company, our favorite discovery is Ruddell's Smokehouse, where you can dig in to Jim's fresh smoked albacore tuna, smoked oysters and some of the best fish tacos and fish sandwiches you'll ever eat.

Morro Bay Morro Rock
The big awesome rock at Morro Bay. When I was a kid I used to think that this was the rock in the Prudential commercials, but obviously it's not. Morro Bay is located just outside of San Luis Obispo, California and is a great little beach town. It's fairly inexpensive to stay there, the food is excellent, and the people are really nice.
Morro Bay: The perfect spot to ignite your senses
Morro Bay—a waterfront city in San Luis Obispo county, California—has a long history of fishing and holidaying. It's been a beach destination for vacationers since the early 20th century, for very good reasons.
Get your tastebuds excited on fresh and sustainably caught seafood, like oysters that have been harvested locally for many decades. Breathe in the fresh sea air at the several beaches in and around Morro Bay, and cruise along the coastline in a kayak or on a standup paddleboard.
Wildlife watching (and listening) is easy at the Morro Bay Estuary Natural Reserve, an 800-acre wetland that's home to 250 bird species, and you can spot peregrine falcons at Morro Rock. If you're looking for marine life, there are around 60 sea otters that frequent the Morro Bay harbor, and you'll likely find sea lions sunbathing on the beach in nearby San Simeon.
Wherever you are in Morro Bay or the surrounding SLO CAL spots, your senses will be sure to thank you.
