Today We visit The Memorial Cross Mt.Macedon situated 64 km from Melbourne Australia.At the summit of Mount Macedon is the Memorial Cross which commemorates those who gave their lives in the 1914 – 1918 war. Walking through the lovely bush setting picnic Ground we stopped at the Top of the Range Tea Rooms & Gallery where we enjoyed lunch and outside from a balcony had a wonderful view of Outer Melbourne. Forest Glade Gardens were our second place to visit in Mt.Macedon. There will be a continuation of some of the Days Highlights in the next video coming soon. I hope you Enjoy it !!

Ceremony to open the NEW Memorial Cross on Mount Macedon
This is the ceremony to re-open the Memorial Cross on Mount Macedon after the orignaly was replaced. This took place on November 19, 1995 and was attended my the Governor of Victoria Richard McGarvie.
We have a series of other videos including the dismantling of the old cross and the construction of the new cross, which we will be uploading shortly once they are digitised from the collection of old tapes.

What I Saw in Mount Macedon (Australia)
Mount Macedon was an interesting and peaceful place to visit. Not too far from Melbourne CBD, and has the second most important war memorial in Victoria, coming after the Shrine of Remembrance.

We have stoped at The Memorial Cross and later continued to Hanging Rock where unfortunately it was getting too late for the whole Days walk so we decided to head again to Forest Glade Gardens situated in lovely country Victoria Mt.macedon National Park Ranges Its definitely a must see tourist destination with lots of scenic walks and things to learn about local History
