Indian Scientist Discovered a new Exoplanet- The Changing face of Indian Space Research

Indian scientists discovered an exoplanet 600 light years away from earth. The discovery was made by the team lead by Abhijit Chakraborty of the Physical research laboratory, Ahmadabad.

The planet is revolving around the star named EPIC 211945201 or K2-236, so the planet is named as EPIC 211945201b or K2-236b. The planet is in sub-Saturn or super-Neptune size.
