Mundo Aborigen (Gran Canaria)
Mundo Aborigen is located in a beautiful setting overlooking the Barranco de Fataga, the biggest and most dramatic gorge on the island. It is a reconstruction of an ancient Canarian village devoted to the Guanche way of life. This park gives genuine insight into pre-Hispanic culture, with more than 100 human-size figures arranged in realistic scenes and recorded domestic animal noises in the background to give the whole setting some realism. A marked trail leads through vivid descriptions of everything, from a butcher gutting a goat, a doctor holding a surgery, a farmer sowing a field to a convict being executed with a stone. To emphasize the most important aspects of Guanche culture, the site also houses a small archaeological museum has also been established on the site.

This is a superb aboriginal grain collection store, in a settlement located up on a high escarpment at Montaña del Gallego. It was built by the ancient Canarians over 800 years ago, making full use of the geological conditions at the volcanic cone. With the help of flint stones they opened up over 350 cavities laid out on several levels, which were used for the storage of cereals and other foodstuffs.

El Albaricoque restaurant and bar is located along the Main Street in Fataga. It is easy to spot if you drive through the small and cosy village. The restaurant has a very nice terrance with a beautiful view of the valley and the sour rounding mountains. The terrace looks to have good sunconditions and for those who don't fancy too much sun there were parasoller providing shadow. The interior is nice and a little rostique.

Todavía me pregunto por qué he estado yo aquí tantos años trabajando.
