World's LONGEST BEACH! | Long Beach WA |
I have no idea what day it was ha. This is us just touring around the town of Long Beach, Washington again. It had been an interesting week. Visited the sign that is the World's Longest beach. Haha.
Fact: This is the World's longest beach in the United States, since it is a continuous sand beach around the peninsula. However it is the actual second longest beach, coming after the Cox's Bazar in Bangladesh.

About me:
I'm a filmmaker; I like traveling to many places in California looking for the most unique and impressive places to shoot videos. In fact, California is such an amazing state with so many places to visit like art museums and landmarks! But many people don't have the opportunity to visit California because it's very expensive to travel to the Golden State. Instead of traveling, I will take you on a tour to those places and my travel videos will show you a lot of scenic sights and monuments absolutely free on my Youtube Channel.

The Sunshine State is one of the most desirable places in the nation to live. What’s not love? Warm sun, miles of sandy coastline, palm trees, historic sites, and top-notch culinary options. Eating a GIANT GEODUCK in Washington! | Exotic Seafood!
►SUBSCRIBE for 2 new videos per week:
►T-shirts and caps available now:
During my trip to Seattle and Washington State, USA, one of the things I was most looking forward to doing was taking a day trip to Samish Bay, home to Taylor Shellfish Farms. It wasn’t too long of a drive, but it was a beautiful drive and well worth it. We pulled into the bay and the shellfish farm mid-morning. Although I knew we’d be eating as many oysters as possible, there was something I wasn’t sure we were going to have a chance to eat, but I desperately wanted to try it.
We were in luck, the had it.
Yes, I’m talking about a geoduck (pronounced gooey duck). It has to be one of the most bizarre, strange shaped shells of them all - I don’t think we need to go into details here. But it’s truly unique and soon I would find out how delicious it was.
You arrive to Samish Oyster Bar and Shellfish Market and you can choose from a dozen of so different types of oysters and they will either shuck them for you or you can shuck them yourself, we chose the latter option. We also got a couple crabs, and of course the geoduck.
The kind staff at Taylor Shellfish Farm sliced up our geoduck into sashimi slices, sectioning off the siphon shaft from the body part, both of which were different in taste and texture. They did an amazing job slicing it up. The geoduck was absolutely amazing, so sweet naturally, which a wonderful cartilage like crunch to it.
We also had a plate of Pacific Northwest Oysters, all of the varieties which were fantastic and unique.
I would highly recommend a day trip up to Samish Bay to eat fresh and amazing local seafood at Taylor Shellfish Farm, from the source - from tide to table!
Total price for everything - $129.16
Since Samish Bay is not too far from Bellingham, we continued our drive to Bellingham where my friend Jason took us to a few of his favorite breweries.
Melvin Brewing - First we stopped at Melvin Brewing, and the highlight for me was the Thai poutine, something I had never tried before, and it was actually dangerously tasty.
Total price for everything - $86.96
Kulshan Brewing Company - Next we stopped at Kulshan and ate at StrEAT Food Bellingham.
Total price for everything - $26
But the highlight for me was undoubtedly the Samish Bay experience, and getting to eat the strange and exotic geoduck delicacy from the source!

* Northwestern Bahamas
A Hurricane Watch means that hurricane conditions are possible
within the watch area. A watch is typically issued 48 hours before
the anticipated first occurrence of tropical-storm-force winds,
conditions that make outside preparations difficult or dangerous.
Interests in southern and central Florida should monitor the
progress of Dorian.
For storm information specific to your area, please monitor
products issued by your national meteorological service.
DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK
----------------------
At 1100 AM AST (1500 UTC), the eye of Hurricane Dorian was located
near latitude 24.5 North, longitude 69.8 West. Dorian is moving
toward the northwest near 10 mph (17 km/h). A slower west-
northwestward to westward motion should begin tonight and continue
into early next week. On this track, the core of Dorian should
move over the Atlantic well north of the southeastern and central
Bahamas today and tomorrow, be near or over the northwestern
Bahamas on Sunday, and be near the Florida peninsula late Monday.
Maximum sustained winds are near 110 mph (175 km/h) with higher
gusts. Dorian is expected to become a major hurricane later
today, and it will remain an extremely dangerous major hurricane
while it moves near the northwestern Bahamas and approaches the
Florida peninsula into early next week.
Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 25 miles (35 km) from the
center and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 105 miles
(165 km).
The estimated minimum central pressure from the NOAA and Air Force
reconnaissance planes is 972 mb (28.71 inches).
HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND
----------------------
WIND: Hurricane conditions are possible in the northwestern
Bahamas by Sunday, with tropical storm conditions possible by
Saturday night or Sunday morning.
STORM SURGE: A life-threatening storm surge will raise water levels
by as much as 10 to 15 feet above normal tide levels in areas of
onshore winds in the northwestern Bahamas. Near the coast, the surge
will be accompanied by large and destructive waves.
RAINFALL: Dorian is expected to produce the following rainfall
accumulations this weekend into the middle of next week:
Northwestern Bahamas and coastal sections of the Southeast
United States...6 to 12 inches, isolated 18 inches.
Central Bahamas...1 to 2 inches, isolated 4 inches.
This rainfall may cause life-threatening flash floods.
SURF: Swells are likely to begin affecting the east-facing shores
of the Bahamas, the Florida east coast, and the southeastern United
States coast during the next few days. These swells are likely to
cause life-threatening surf and rip current conditions.

Gay Couple Travel Vlog - Cape Flattery, Neah Bay WA ????
Today’s Journey: Jax & Austin GO ALL THE WAY TO NEAH BAY. Cape Flattery to be exact. ???? We last left our ordinary heroes at Olympic National Park… this is part 4 and the final part of their day – that day [OCT. 28th]. Includes driving from Madison Falls to Neah Bay, along US-101 W and the Strait of Juan de Fuca HWY. Jax & Austin in this episode they set out for Forks but ended up at the northwesternmost point of the contiguous United States!
OCTOBER 28th, 2019
PART 1: “Madison Falls” –
PART 2: “The Elwha River” –
PART 3: “Olympic National Park” –
PART 4: hehehe…. You are watching it now!
JAX HAS A BLOG! ????
Before we even moved to Washington... Austin [my partner] wanted to go to the ocean. He had this internal need to see the Pacific. I understand this internal need. Before moving to this state, I also had this intense desire to go to Montana! I don't know why, but it has been there my whole life.
We did not plan on going to the ocean - but we love adventures!
The alarm had been set at 5:30 AM. The day had started with Austin, Smooshy, Pumpkin, and I headed to Madison Falls in Olympic National Park; a 3 1/2 hour drive from Seattle, WA. All we had shared were 2 cliff bars and we each had caffeines of varieties. We all had a great time experiencing the waterfall, the Elwha River, and this cool trail!
As we were headed back to the car, we noticed, Forks, Washington was only an hour away! How could we pass up the opportunity to go to the diner there? Only - I misunderstood the search results??? and the restaurant in the Twilight movie was filmed in Oregon... not, Washington lol.
WE WERE STARVING AND DID NOT KNOW THIS. Nor, would we care once we did arrive.
Well, we headed for Twilight cafe - and it said Forks was 20 miles away. Just as one sign said this, another said, Northwest Coast.
I felt something inside tell me, this is going to take you to the ocean. It isn't going to take you to food, but it will take you to what Austin has been dreaming of. Without saying anything to him, I make a sharp right. Austin looks at me confused and skeptical... makes sense, we are so close to Forks, so close to food, he didn't see the sign, he didn't understand...
I told him, I saw a sign that said, 'Northwest Coast' and I have this feeling it will take us to the ocean... which is something you have been wanting for so long... so let's try it! It said like 16 miles... if it is further than that, we can turn around.
16 miles go by... and we are confused. We do not have service - and we are both trying to ignore our hunger.
We drive for more than 16 miles until we come across one sign. The sign is to the left of me and it has some arrows to Neah and Clallam Bay... Just enough hope to keep going. We didn't know then, but we were driving along the beautiful Strait of Juan de Fuca HWY.
We never got to use our GPS - only our intuition.

Hurricane Irma makes second landfall in Florida and will roar up the state’s Gulf Coast

MIAMI — The fierce eye of Hurricane Irma made its second landfall in Florida on Sunday as the full intensity of the storm began battering the state’s Gulf Coast.
After days of alarming warnings forced millions from their homes and effectively shut down daily life across a wide swath of the Southeastern United States, Irma had earlier Sunday made landfall on the lower Florida Keys before beginning what forecasters say could be a painful journey up the state’s western coastline.
The storm breached the Florida coast on Sunday morning, making landfall just after 9 a.m. at Cudjoe Key. After churning through the Keys and on through to Florida’s southwestern coast, Irma’s second landfall occurred in Marco Island, Fla., at 3:35 p.m. A wind gust of 130 mph was reported by the Marco Island police, according to the National Weather Service.
Irma had already made its presence known across South Florida, causing more than a million power outages and lashing major population centers with driving rain and roof-rattling wind. The danger is only just beginning, forecasters warn, because the storm will grind along Florida’s Gulf Coast on Sunday bringing life-threatening storm surge.
“Today is going to the be the long day,” said Mark DeMaria, deputy acting director of the National Hurricane Center in Miami.
[What you need to know about Hurricane Irma and its path]
The hurricane center warned that Irma had created an “imminent danger of life-threatening storm surge flooding along much of the Florida west coast.” While Irma’s path is now likely to hew to Florida’s Gulf Coast, the storm’s sheer size and reach — hurricane-force winds extend about 80 miles from the center, and tropical storm winds extend out 220 miles — means that those scattered through South Florida remain imperiled by its winds and dangerous storm surge.
By Sunday afternoon, the hurricane center said that Irma — which had shifted back to a Category 3 storm — was “impacting all of South Florida.” Irma is forecast to remain a major hurricane as it approaches the densely populated Tampa Bay area, which experts say is woefully ill-equipped to confront a storm of this size. Many people from Florida’s eastern coast had sought refuge around Tampa in recent days before the storm’s path shifted westward.
Irma spent much of Sunday morning over the Florida Keys, the string of islands off the state’s southern coast. The Keys could see up to 25 inches of rainfall and storm surges could wash over the low-lying chain, a popular tourist destination that includes Key West.
“A very dangerous day is unfolding in the Florida Keys and much of West Florida,” Michael Brennan, a senior hurricane specialist at the National Hurricane Center, said in an early morning update Sunday. “It certainly could inundate the entire island. That’s why everyone in the Keys was urged so strongly to evacuate.”
Obviously Hurricane Irma continues to be a threat that is going to devastate the United Stang enough to upf well-built frame homes.

Hurricane Irma made its second landfall on Marco Island on the southwest Florida coast this afternoon after first making landfall in the Florida Keys this morning. The hurricane, which is barreling toward Naples, has left at least three people dead in Florida, including a sheriff's deputy, and over 2.1 million households without power.
