TEN ISLANDS HISTORICAL PARK Coosa River / Neely Henry
We did a short day trip tour of the TEN ISLANDS HISTORICAL PARK at the Neely Henry Dam on the Coosa River in east Alabama. It was opened in June 1966. There is 339 miles of shore line with 11,200 surface acres. GPS coordinates 33.84 degrees North & 86.06 degrees W. Beautiful park and recreational area. Swimming, boating, fishing, picnicking. This is where a battle was fought during the Civil War July 14, 1864. I give detail in the video about the historical location. We also took a detour on the way to see Turtle Rock and the view. I used an iPhone 5C for video

2016 July 10 at Logan Martin
My 1st time on Logan Martin Lake in about 18 years. It brought back some fond memories. We drove from Broken Arrow Creek above Riverside to Logan Martin Dam & back on Saturday but rain ended our day earlier than we wanted. Sunday we went to Neely Henry Dam & back to BA Creek. It is 48-1/2 miles from dam to dam one way.

Neely Henry Bass Fishing - Prefishing $8000 Bass Tournament
I headed to Neely Henry to prefish for the final tournament of the F4R Outdoors Synergy Series tournament trail. There are 56 boats fishing for $8000 1st place finish. This tournament will pay approximately 12 places.
