The Unsolved Story Of The Vigilante Town Of Skidmore & Ken Rex McElroy
In this episode of Unsolved Mysteries, I dove into the truly odd case of Ken Rex McElroy and the vigilante town of Skidmore, Mo. In an act that left local law enforcement baffled, this mystery has remained unsolved since the 1980's. This is one case that will truly freak you out.

Ozarks of Arkansas & Missouri, He's Still Here
He's still here after all these years. The evidence is all around us. There is great evidence in the Ozark Mountains of a worldwide flood. His beauty abounds in His creation. All things have a purpose. Blind chance and time do not give purpose. It takes a Grand Creator to create and give purpose. He created man in His image, therefore man also has creative abilities. God created all things out of nothing. Man can create nothing without raw material. The Ozarks abound with His majestic creative genius. It is truly a beautiful place to experience the glory that is God.

The ruins of the abandoned Indian Ridge Resort in Branson West, MO

The Indian Ridge Resort in Branson West, MO, was intended to be a 900 acre $1.6 Billion Dollar resort, featuring luxury homes, condos, an indoor water park, and an 18-hole golf course.
Suffice it to say, construction ground to a halt as the money dried up in 2009. The half built homes were never completed, and have been slowly rotting away ever since.

Branson Man Charged With Impersonating a U-S Marshal
BRANSON, Mo. -- A man in the Taney County Jail is accused of taking advantage of people's trust -- by impersonating an officer of the law.
He's charged with kidnapping and false impersonation of a law enforcement officer.
Police arrested him Monday night, after a call that Peter's was representing himself as a U-S Marshal.
The victim does maintenance work at the newly opened Plato's Cave -- which houses international workers -- and he says he's so glad this guy is off the streets.
Beb Hutchison says he was going about his daily maintenance duties at Plato's Cave. That's when he claims he was approached by Branson resident Kristopner Peters ..who identified himself as a U-S Marshal.
I was really terrified, said Hutchison.
In order not to compromise the police investigation, specific details of what happened will not be disclosed at this time. However, Hutchison may have come very close to being kidnapped.
I was very frightened…I was scared. I didn't know what he was going to do, Hutchison said.
He said Peters was very convincing.
He had his uh…like civilian clothes on, said Hutchison, With the belt and handcuffs and radio and his gun.
Quick thinking security workers at Plato's Cave felt something was off and called police. That's when they found out this so called U-S Marshal was a fake.
I thought he was a cop, Hutchison said, But we found out that he wasn't. So it just kind of startled me and everything.
The security officers that work here investigated him from Taney County…and that's how they found out, said Hutchison.
This wasn't the first time, this U.S. Marshall wanna be had been seen in the area.
He's been hanging around here..you know he's a shuttle driver. But, he comes over here in his unmarked car, Hutchison said.
Lt. Sean Barnwell with Branson Police is hoping the public can help in this case.
.We're trying to determine all the facts, said Barnwell, We don't know how far this goes back. We don't know how many people have fallen victim to him. So, we're reaching out to those people, hoping that they will contact us.
At anytime you can call the police department to find out to run a name by us or to ask us. Is this person legitimate. He's driving this kind of car..he stopped me here, Barnwell said.
The lieutenant also said he believes Peters may have been impersonating a U-S Marshal for a week or two.
Lt. Barnwell wants the public to know that all real police officers carry picture identification with their department on it -- as well as a legitimate badge.

Pythian Castle in Springfield Missouri
This is a short aerial movie of The Pythian Castle in Springfield Missouri.
Built in 1913, it was originally used as an orphanage by the Knights of Pythias and also served as a meeting hall for the group. In 1942 it was commandeered buy the US military and renamed the Enlisted Men's Service Club where it served as a general hospital to help rehabilitate injured America troops from WWII. At that time, the property featured a bowling alley, library and pool hall, but there was also another surprise – This location also served as a prisoner of war facility and housed high-ranking Germans, Japanese and Italian prisoners. There are prison cells and interrogation rooms in the basement, as well as the guard house.
In 1947 the facility became a Tubercular hospital that served about 500. Today the castle is a privately owned home where it is rented out for many events such as weddings, parties, murder mysteries and even Ghost Tours – After all… It is said that the facility has a very active paranormal presence!
