Started the hike at Del Cerro Park to Abalone Cove Shoreline Park, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. One of the best hiking spots in Southern California!

Located at the intersection of Palos Verdes Drive East (or Narbonne) and Palos Verdes Drive North in the City of Rolling Hills Estates. The George F Canyon Nature Preserve provides a very gentle hike of only 3/4 mile (one way), there are ample places to rest, sit, and enjoy the trees and flowers (when in bloom) along with some wildlife. The end of the hike gives a view of the Los Angeles basin. This preserve is a part of the Palos Verdes Nature Preserve. Public parking is provided just south of the Visitor's Center on Palos Verdes Drive East. Photography and music by Bill Procopio. Music: His Resting Place.

Join me on a tour of Ranchos Palos Verdes Abalone Cove! Using my glide cam I will get beautiful footage of Ranchos Palos Verdes Abalone Cove to make you feel like your there. Abalone Cove is Amazing!
Abalone Cove Shoreline Park features 2 beaches (Abalone Cove and Sacred Cove), tidepools, bluff top viewing areas and trails crisscrossing the area. The park contains a State Ecological Preserve and taking of protected animals and marine life is prohibited. There is direct access to a parking lot off Palos Verdes Drive South. Access to Abalone Cove Beach is by a long trail from the parking lot. To access Sacred Cove, users must walk along Palos Verdes Drive South to 1 of 2 trails between Portuguese and Inspiration Points. Lifeguards are on duty at Abalone Cove Beach during summer hours and weekends only. The views of the ocean and Catalina Island are spectacular. Barbeques and fires are prohibited at this site. Dogs are prohibited on the beach; however, on-leash dogs are permitted in the upper picnic area and on designated trails.

Walking on the Bluff Trail at Point Vicente, California
Took an early a.m. walk on the Bluff Trail, located near Point Vicente lighthouse on the Palos Verdes peninsula. For the 1st part of the walk, I was enshrouded by wildflowers taller than myself (I'm 5'5). Then I reached the top of a hill and had a sweeping view of the Pacific, with the lighthouse to the right of me and Catalina island off in the distance.

Pelican Cove hike, San Pedro CA .Gopro and Mavic footage.
Visited Pelican Cove in San Pedro, it was a bit cloudy, windy and a few clouds that day. We still tough it out and hiked down to the beach and explored the cove. Once back up we hiked up the bluff for a better view of the cove! Got the guts to get the mavic in the air, even though it was a bit windy and it could start raining and second! Glad i did, got some awesome shots. Once again the mavic impressed me of how great it handled the wind and how portable it is! Getting better at getting awesome shots, more to come this summer! thanks for watching!
