Arulmigu Manakula Vinayagar Temple is a hindu temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha situated in Pondicherry city. It is one of must to visit place in pondicherry and this temple has so much cleanness. The elephant Laxmi who used to bless people by her trunk was not present there, i don't know why also there are lots of stalls to buy puja items and god's idol. next went to sri aurobind ashram which is just so close to manakula temple and dedicated to the spiritual aspirants Sri Aurobindo and mother Mira Alfassa. next near of it there are puducherry museum which is run by goverment and has lots of antique collection. so watch this video till end &

Here is a video on what are the things you mustn't miss if you are going to Pondicherry.
This is what one can cover in 2 days. I have also listed the places that we missed.
DAY 1
We had breakfast in the hotel and started around 9am.
Went to rent the bikes since it was walking distance from Hotel.
1 Chunnambar Boat House to see paradise beach
2 Paradise beach - Well maintained, clean and beautiful
3 Cafe Heart Church - another beautiful church
4 French colony - roamed around to see the buildings
5 Lunch at Café Xtasi - nice pizza and other options
6 Auroville & Matrimandir - go to Visitor's Center to get the necessary details. To gain access to the Matrimandir, you need an access token from the Visitors Center
7 Serene beach - spend some time and clicked few pictures. It is adjacent to rock beach.
8 Spend evening at Rock beach - just sit and enjoy the waves hitting rocks
9 Don’t miss the ice cream at GMT
10 Dinner at Les Chefs - tasty food and lot of verities.
Day 2
1 Baker’s street - to try nice bakery items in breakfast
2 Mannakula Vinaynagar Ganpati temple - Vibrant Hindu temple known for its elephant blessings, ornately carved stone walls & golden chariot
3 Sri Aurobindo Ashram - did some shopping scented soap etc
4 Vedapureeswarar Temple - Beautiful temple dedicated to lord Shiva
5 Church of Our Lady of Angels - Very beautiful church
6 French Colony - A stroll through the old French quarters
7 Rock beach - following places at walkable distance

So let's go to Pondicherry.
Pondicherry is a union territory located on the eastern side of the Indian peninsula. The history of this small beautiful region is associated with French. The city became famous with the French taking an interest in the city of Pondicherry.
A wonderful confluence of modern Indian and French civilization is seen in Pondicherry. You will find most people talking in French very easily here. Moreover, Tamil, English as well as French will also be seen flashing on the sine board on the road. In the restaurants of Pondicherry, you will get to eat French food without any problems. Even today the history of French is seen in the buildings and routes here.
Pondicherry is known for its excellent town planning. While the settlement of French people here was called a white town, the part of the Tamils who were associated with agriculture have been called black town. The bright yellow buildings in the white town and their large French windows are quite attractive to the people.
Considered one of the most beautiful cities of India, tourists from all over the world are drawn to Pondicherry due to its extraordinary charm. When you put your footsteps on the land of Pondicherry, you will feel the heat even in winter. The rising waves of the sea, the captivating beaches and the magnificent natural beauty make the city a very popular place among Indian and foreign tourists.
Pondicherry remains green throughout the year. During the monsoon, whenever the clouds rain down, the sky is clear even in the blink of an eye. The biggest feature of Pondicherry is its beautiful and long beaches. The city has four of the best beaches - Promenade Beach, Auroville Beach, Paradise Beach and Serenity Beach, which offer travelers a new holiday experience.
Paradise here is a beach which is inside the sea. 8 km from the city, this beach is situated on a dry strip of land with water all around it. One has to go by ferry and the journey to reach it is also fantastic.
If you want to do scuba diving, then you do not need to go abroad for this, because you can enjoy it in Pondicherry. The view of this city is so beautiful that you will not want to miss the unique moment of sunrise by staying here.
