►What's so special of Prague Trams?
The Prague tramvaje network is the largest network in the Czech Republic (ceska republika), consisting of 142.4 km of track, 931 trams and 21 daytime routes and 9 night routes with a total route length of 518 km. It is operated by Dopravní podnik hlavního města Prahy a.s., a company owned by the City of Prague. The Praha tram system (including the Petřín funicular) served 324.2 million passengers in 2012, up from 312.9 million passengers in 2011. Prague's first horsecar tram line was opened in 1875, and the first electric tram ran in 1891.
As of 2017, the Prague tram network operates 857 tram vehicles, which makes it the third largest in the world behind Moscow and Budapest. The system carries more than 360 million passengers annually, the highest tram patronage in the world after Budapest.
►Some information regarding Prague:
Prague is the capital and largest city in the Czech Republic, the 14th largest city in the European Union and the historical capital of Bohemia. Situated in the north-west of the country on the Vltava river, the city is home to about 1.3 million people, while its metropolitan area is estimated to have a population of 2.6 million. The city has a temperate climate, with warm summers and chilly winters. Visit czech 2019 and enjoy!
Prague has been a political, cultural and economic centre of central Europe complete with a rich history. Founded during the Romanesque and flourishing by the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque eras, Prague was the capital of the kingdom of Bohemia and the main residence of several Holy Roman Emperors, most notably of Charles IV (r. 1346–1378).[10] It was an important city to the Hasburg Monarchy and its Austro-Hungarian Empire. The city played major roles in the Bohemian and Protestant Reformation, the 30 Years' War and in 20th-century history as the capital of Czechoslovakia, during both World Wars and the post-war Communist era.
Prague is home to a number of famous cultural attractions, many of which survived the violence and destruction of 20th-century. Main attractions include Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, Old Town Square with the Prague astronomical clock, the Jewish Quarter, Petřín hill and Vyšehrad. Since 1992, the extensive historic centre of Prague has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
The city has more than ten major museums, along with numerous theatres, galleries, cinemas and other historical exhibits. An extensive modern public transportation system connects the city. Also, it is home to a wide range of public and private schools, including Charles University in Prague, the oldest university in Central Europe.
Prague is classified as a Beta+ global city according to GaWC studies and ranked sixth in the Tripadvisor world list of best destinations in 2016. Its rich history makes it a popular tourist destination and as of 2017, the city receives more than 8.5 million international visitors annually. Prague is the fifth most visited European city after London, Paris, Istanbul and Rome.

THE BEST TIME TO VISIT PRAGUE - Beat the tourists and experience the real Prague
Our first visit to Prague Castle in Czech Republic was not what we had envisioned, Shoulder to shoulder with thousands of other tourists trying to get our snaps. It really made our first experience of the castle not as magical as we had hoped. The same happened at the famous Charles Bridge.
Luckily, we had a few days left in Prague, so this time, we got wise and planned ahead to avoid the crowds. It was such a different experience! Check out our video to witness for yourself the busy prague vs the best time to visit Prague.
If you only get to see Prague once, DO IT PROPERLY!
