5 Top-Rated Tourist Attractions in Raleigh, United States
Named for Sir Walter Raleigh, who established a short-lived English settlement here in the 1580s, North Carolina's state capital was, like Washington, D.C., planned from the start as the capital city. From its founding in 1792, it was called the City of Oaks, and its leaders ever since have been committed to preserving and maintaining its parks and trees. The result is an attractive and very livable city, where modern glass and steel construction is softened by parks and greenways. Both visual and performing arts are important here, and you'll find art museums and theaters among its most popular tourist attractions. Raleigh's past is especially visible in the Historic Oakwood neighborhood, where you'll see beautifully restored Victorian-style homes. Let's see five tourist attraction in raleigh, North Carolina.
1. Pullen Park
2. Mordecai Historic Park
3. Marbles Kids Museum
4. North Carolina Museum of Art
5. North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences

Places to see in ( Raleigh - USA )
Raleigh is the capital city of North Carolina. It’s known for its universities, including North Carolina State University. The number of technology and scholarly institutions around Raleigh, Chapel Hill and Durham make the area known as the Research Triangle. The North Carolina State Capitol is a 19th-century Greek Revival–style building with a statue of George Washington dressed as a Roman general in its rotunda.
Raleigh Neighborhoods such as :
The downtown area is home to historic buildings such as the Sir Walter Raleigh Hotel built in the early 20th century, the restored City Market, the Fayetteville Street downtown business district, which includes the PNC Plaza and Wells Fargo Capitol Center buildings, as well as the North Carolina Museum of History, North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, North Carolina State Capitol, William Peace University, the City of Raleigh Museum, Raleigh Convention Center, Shaw University, Campbell University School of Law, and St. Augustine's College. In the 2000s, an effort by the Downtown Raleigh Alliance was made to separate this area of the city into five smaller districts: Fayetteville Street, Moore Square, Glenwood South, Warehouse (Raleigh), and Capital District (Raleigh). Some of the names have become common place among locals such as the Warehouse, Fayetteville Street, and Glenwood South Districts.
The Inside the Beltline neighborhoods include Cameron Park, Boylan Heights, Country Club Hills, Coley Forest, Five Points, Budleigh, Glenwood-Brooklyn, Hayes Barton Historic District, Moore Square, Mordecai, Rosengarten Park, Belvidere Park, Woodcrest, Oberlin Village, and Historic Oakwood. Inside the Beltline refers to I-440 which used to be called the Beltline before being re-branded to ease driver navigation. These neighborhoods were typically built before World War II.
Midtown Raleigh is a residential and commercial area just North of the I-440 Beltline and is part of North Raleigh. It is roughly framed by Glenwood/Creedmoor Road to the West, Wake Forest Road to the East, and Millbrook Road to the North. It includes shopping centers such as North Hills and Crabtree Valley Mall. It also includes North Hills Park and part of the Raleigh Greenway System. The term was coined by the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, developer John Kane and planning director Mitchell Silver. The News & Observer newspaper started using the term for marketing purposes only. The Midtown Raleigh Alliance was founded on July 25, 2011 as a way for community leaders to promote the area.
Southeast Raleigh is bounded by downtown on the west, Garner on the southwest, and rural Wake County to the southeast. The area includes areas along Rock Quarry Road, Poole Road, and New Bern Avenue. Primary neighborhoods include Chastain, Chavis Heights, Raleigh Country Club, Southgate, Kingwood Forest, Rochester Heights, Emerald Village and Biltmore Hills. Coastal Credit Union Music Park (formerly Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion, Alltel Pavilion and Walnut Creek Amphitheatre) is one of the region's major outdoor concert venues and is located on Rock Quarry Road. Shaw University is located in this part of the city.

Are you thinking about moving to Raleigh NC? I have 10 reasons why you should!
1. ONE OF THE FASTEST GROWING CITIES IN US
Raleigh also called the City Of Oaks is an emerging upcoming metropolis and a huge technology hub! It constantly reaches top 10 places to live in the country based on quality of life, jobs and affordability. In 2019 Raleigh ranks 2nd in Top 100 best places to live according to livability.com, 3rd BEST IN Quality Of Life THE WORLD according to NUMBEO and 2nd in Most Family Friendly Cities by Homes.com
There are many jobs available! The RTP(Research Triangle Park) alone has about 200 companies with approximately 50,000 employees.
In 2017 Raleigh ranked as the 2nd most educated city in the US by FORBES magazine with over 49% of adults that achieved higher education. Parents are also very happy with Charter, Magnet and Public schools available.
4. FOOD & DRINKS
If nothing else, you should try one of Ashley Christensen's restaurants. She is a James Beard Award-Winning Chef, elevating Raleigh as a culinary destination.
For you beer lovers, Raleigh's Beer Garden surpassed Munich with the largest selection of beer on tap. It has the LARGEST tap beer selection under one roof in the world!
Raleigh has a humid subtropical type of climate with hot, humid summers and short cold winters(especially compared to northern states). Raleigh is at the meeting point of the Piedmont and Atlantic Coastal plains in Wake County North Carolina. Raleigh has hot and humid summers with a high average temperature of 90°F (32.2°C). The average low temperature is about 31°F (-0.6°C). Best time to visit Raleigh is between March and May during spring and between September and November during fall.
Raleigh ranks in the middle of the pack from an affordability standpoint with a medium price point of a house at $290,000. As an example, if you make around $72,000 and you have 10% down payment, considering a 4.6% interest rate, your monthly payment will be around $1,450/month. Definitely better than renting! Austin R. celebrates 11th birthday at Pullen Park in Raleigh, NC
Austin loves trains! While we waited to get on the train ride at the park, he wanted to go into the stationary train to take a peek. It was a very hot day and we arrived about 90 minutes before noon! This was in the middle of May, so imagine our dismay, since Austin doesn't do heat well. As his face develops more redness, his cooperative spirit starts to seep away. After the carousel ride we had to leave to avoid a major meltdown. Altogether I think he had a great time--it was the longest he'd ever been willing to be away from home.
On the way to Pullen Park in Raleigh North Carolina
Going to Pullen Park for the first time on March 1st 2013. It was a windy cold afternoon.
