Saguaro National Park (west) [AZ | 6/9/2015]
Pictures and a video from the west park of Saguaro National Park near Tucson, AZ. Note the 2 pictures at 1:50-1:53 and see how different the same scene can be. More information below.
For a better quality of the pictures check out my Google+ page:
Saguaro National Park actually has 2 parks. One is on the west side as you can see here
And the other one on the east side of Tucson (which is actually not tagged as Saguaro National Park in Google maps) - it's the loop you can see there (Cactus Forest Drive).
You can access both sides of the park with the same pass.
Here's a video of the east park:
If you enter the park make sure to pay the fees at the (red hills) visitor center which is located here - except you already have a valid National Park pass. The main part of the park is the Hohokam Road and Golden Gate Road (a loop; on which I was also driving as you can see in the video and on maps). That loop is a one way dirt road. Make sure you leave other vehicles enough space if you ever pull to the side of the road. And respect the wildlife there, don't come to close and ANY animals have the right of way, so stop for animals as you're in a national park. That dirt road is accessible with all vehicles but driving will always be more comfortable with an SUV on dirt roads. You're driving through a landscape full of all kinds and different cacti. You can go hiking as well, just look out for wildlife (there are snakes in the park) and stay hydrated especially during the summer. If you plan to go hike or walking through the park make sure to have good shoes or hiking shoes with you and maybe long trousers - it's up to you.
I would also like to recommend the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum which is not far away from the National Park. It's not a regular museum, it's definitely an interesting place .. just read the description here:
The fee for Saguaro Natl' Park is $10 per vehicle (as of June 2015).
(official website)
You can drive around and go hiking in the park in Google maps, check it out!

Sideling Hill Maryland 360
The State of Maryland in the United States, has wonderful natural resources including the Chesapeake Bay and beautiful mountains to the west. Trucking travel was often fatal once a large truck got to the top of the prior mountain path in Hancock on Route 40 which had a 90 turn at the top. It was necessary to slice into the mountain with a new highway I68 to cut down on the immense death toll highway 40 presented.. Dynamite was used to blown apart a path through the mountain (called Sideling Hill) and now motorists and truckers enjoy traveling with less risk of death but in doing so, the layers of some 100 million years of Earths history are revealed in the sides of the remaining hillside. In this 360 video, the Phantom 3 drone can also be seen as it fights the wind currents which go through that slit in the mountain as the video is being captured. It was tricky taking the video as traffic goes through this area at 70+ MPH.
Camping at Kartchner Caverns State Park
Nothing says Thanksgiving weekend like...camping! Especially in a Camping Cabin, complete with electricity, mini-fridge, microwave, heater and coffee maker. But we still enjoyed spending time around the campfire, complete with s'mores. The weekend included two tours of the Caverns' Big Room, one of which was a special tour for photographers.

Raw Video: Object Lights Up Sky Over Southwestern USA [Dec 23rd 2015]
Residents from across California and as far away as Las Vegas reported seeing a bright light in the sky Tuesday evening that an astronomer first called a meteor and a government official later clarified was sort of Russian space debris.
U.S. Strategic Command's Lt. Colonel O'Donnell confirmed with NBC News that the mysterious light in the sky was some kind of Russian space debris.Vanenberg Air Force Base in California was tracking a Russian SL4 rocket body.
The body reentered the atmosphere somewhere over Arizona, according to the United States strategic Command Public Affairs Office. It wasn't clear exactly where it reentered, but it was somewhere over Arizona. The rocket was launched Dec. 21.
The joint space operation center in the Vanenberg base tracks and identifies man-made objects. Many people described the light as a fireball streaking across the sky.
Big big #fireball moved in the sky very slow with a #streak over ventura, tweeted @issradio.
Brand Hunt wrote: Weird flaming streak of debris in the sky south of Las Vegas just after 6PM. Anyone else see it?
Bob Brown wrote: Giant fireball in the sky over Las Vegas. Has Magical Forest visitors asking if it was part of the show. Ah NO!
Twitter user @So Cal Scanner saw it in Camarillo. Just witnessed a large fireball streak across the sky, he wrote. Lasted for about 30 seconds then went behind clouds. Anyone else see it?
Lindsey Stull wrote that she thought it looked like a comet or a star shoot across the sky and disintegrate in the air.
A Las Vegas resident who shot video of the phenomenon, Isabell Nungaray, said her 9-year-old said it was Santa training new reindeer.
Last month, a missile launch caused a mysterious white, bluish light that streaked across the sky. It was lit up by the fading sunlight at dusk off the coast of California, putting on a show that could be seen from San Diego to the Bay Area.
In Tuesday's mysterious occurrence, Dr. Ed Krupp of the Griffith Observatory initially said it was a meteor or space debris.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
Tucson () is a city and the county seat of Pima County, Arizona, United States, and home to the University of Arizona. The 2010 United States Census put the population at 520,116, while the 2015 estimated population of the entire Tucson metropolitan statistical area (MSA) was 980,263. The Tucson MSA forms part of the larger Tucson-Nogales combined statistical area (CSA), with a total population of 1,010,025 as of the 2010 Census. Tucson is the second-largest populated city in Arizona behind Phoenix, both of which anchor the Arizona Sun Corridor. The city is 108 miles (174 km) southeast of Phoenix and 60 mi (97 km) north of the U.S.–Mexico border. Tucson is the 33rd largest city and the 58th largest metropolitan area in the United States (2014).
Major incorporated suburbs of Tucson include Oro Valley and Marana northwest of the city, Sahuarita south of the city, and South Tucson in an enclave south of downtown. Communities in the vicinity of Tucson (some within or overlapping the city limits) include Casas Adobes, Catalina Foothills, Flowing Wells, Midvale Park, Tanque Verde, Tortolita, and Vail. Towns outside the Tucson metro area include Benson to the southeast, Catalina and Oracle to the north, and Green Valley to the south.
The Spanish name of the city, Tucsón [tukˈson], is derived from the O'odham Cuk Ṣon [tʃʊk ʂɔːn], meaning (at the) base of the black [hill], a reference to a basalt-covered hill now known as Sentinel Peak. Tucson is sometimes referred to as The Old Pueblo.
How to find Forest Gump Point at Monument Valley, Utah
In this video, you'll learn how to find Forest Gump Point, a viewpoint that looks over Monument Valley from the Utah side. It is iconic for it's role in the movie Forest Gump, where he decides to stop running and turn around.
When arriving from Utah, you'll notice the long straight downhill road with the great buttes in the background. If you're coming from Arizona, you'll have to keep driving past all of the buttes, into Utah and keep going for close to 15 minutes, until you notice a long and straight uphill section of road. There will be plenty of spots to pull over safely and take those iconic photos.
