Traveling to Kyoto, fishing gear & Sword Fighting Japanese style (WT Part 3)
The Outdoor Boys spent 5 weeks touring North America and Asia. This is Part 3 of our travel log. We flew from Las Angels California to Osaka Japan then traveled to Kyoto Japan where we rented a house. In this vlog: Our time in Tokyo has come to an end.. for now. We catch a bullet train and within 3 hours we are transported 1000kms away in beautiful Kyoto. This is what our first day and night there consisted of. We visit the Gion District and Ninenzaka Region for the traditional cobblestoned Japan with low wooden houses and we fall in love with Japan once more. Lastly food-wise we have the famous Ichiran Ramen! (SPOILER ALERT: In the next episode we find even better ramen) Just watch the video to find out more!

Japan day 3 - Meiji Shrine, Yoyogi Park, Harajuku and Takeshita Street - The best of Japan 4K
Hey guys!
This was my third day in Japan Tokyo! We were on our way to Yoyogi Park when we saw a traditional Japanese candies store, Yuka loved being in this place where lots of memories came to her mind. Then we made it to Yoyogi Park, it was raining but we enjoyed the beautiful park anyway. Inside this park, it’s the Meiji Shrine and it’s gorgeous.
While we were there were 2 traditional Japanese weddings and they looked so different but so nice, loved it. After this, we went to Takeshita Street, which is a street full of young people and weird fashion (I guess I’m getting old hahaha), and amazing sweets there also. We had a really nice crepe :P
We went to a Ramen place that is called Ichiran and OMG, it was really good, I think that if you go to Japan you should definitely taste it. The funny thing about this is that it’s like a love hotel but for ramen hahaha you have some privacy while you have your ramen :P it was really weird and funny hehehe.
Then we went to Obaida Statue of liberty, it’s so small compared to the one in the US, but it was really nice being there. We went to a place where I tried octopus balls (Tacoyaki) and it was really good :) super recommended!

Japan's Most Terrifying Bridge: Eshima Ohashi ★ ONLY in JAPAN #33
It's been nicknamed the ROLLER COASTER BRIDGE because of it's super steep slope and appearance of being a bridge to the sky.
That's the Eshima Ohashi Bridge straddling Shimane and Tottori prefecture in Japan.
Facts about the Eshima Ohashi:
★ 1,446 meters long
★ 250 meters of continupus concrete in the center (the third longest Ramen bridge in the world!)
★ 6.1% grade slope on the Shimane Prefecture side
★ 5.1% grade on the Tottori side
★ The bridge needed to be high in the center to allow large shops to pass under.
☆ From the Shimane side, you can get the optical illusion view at the end of the street by the sea.
☆ If you have a good telephoto lens, go even further to the other side of the sea for a better shot. (Map below)
The bridge has a good pedestrian footpath on both sides of the road.
Bicycles are not allowed on the footpath so stay on the main road with the car, to the left side.
There is an observation point on the top that offers sweeping views all the way to Daisen (mountain).
The closest major access point is Yonago Station and airport on the Sea of Japan. From there, take a train to Sakaiminato and rent a bicycle or grab a taxi.
Sakaiminato is also famous for Japanese anime and the main street is like a museum of monsters!
The bridge is a 20 minute ride from Sakai Minato.
Take food with you from the station.

Ginza
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ginza (銀座) is a district of Chūō, Tokyo, located south of Yaesu and Kyōbashi, west of Tsukiji, east of Yūrakuchō and Uchisaiwaichō, and north of Shinbashi.
It is known as an upscale area of Tokyo with numerous department stores, boutiques, restaurants and coffeehouses. Ginza is recognized as one of the most luxurious shopping districts in the world. Many upscale fashion clothing flagship stores are located here, being also recognized as having the highest concentration of western shops in Tokyo. Prominent are Chanel, Dior, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton.
Flagship electronic retail stores like the Sony showroom and the Apple Store are also here.
History
Ginza is named after the silver-coin mint established there in 1612 during the Edo period.
After the Tsukiji area burnt to the ground in 1872, the Meiji government designated the Ginza area as model of modernisation. The government planned the construction of fireproof brick buildings, and larger, better streets connecting the Shimbashi Station and the foreign concession in Tsukiji, as well as to important government buildings. Designs for the area were provided by the Irish-born architect Thomas Waters; the Bureau of Construction of the Ministry of Finance was in charge of construction. In the following year, a Western-style shopping promenade on the street from the Shinbashi bridge to the Kyōbashi bridge in the southwestern part of Chūō with two- and three-story Georgian brick buildings was completed.
Bricktown buildings were initially offered for sale, later they were leased, but the high rent meant that many remained unoccupied. Nevertheless, the area flourished as a symbol of civilisation and enlightenment, thanks to the presence of newspapers and magazine companies, who led the trends of the day. The area was also known for its window displays, an example of modern marketing techniques.
Most of these European-style buildings disappeared, but some older buildings still remain, most famously the Wakō building with the now-iconic Hattori Clock Tower. The building and clock tower were originally built by Kintarō Hattori, the founder of Seiko.
Its recent history has seen it as a promiment outpost of western luxury shops. Ginza is a popular destination on weekends, when the main north-south artery is closed to traffic. The traffic blockade began in the 1960s under governor Ryokichi Minobe.
HOW TO HIRE/RENT A SANTANDER BIKE CYCLE IN LONDON
Today I show you how to hire a TFL cycle BORIS bike in London with a step by step guide. These bikes are not easy to ride due to their weight hence why I crashed into the gates but after a while it was a breeze.
Cycling in Tokyo with an impatient taxi
A taxi driver in Tokyo notified me about his presents by using his klaxon, as if I didn't noticed him already.
He might wanted to point out that he thought that I was running a red light, but as you can see, I crossed the line while the traffic light was on yellow and turned red until I reached the corner.
He must know as an experienced driver that when making a turn the person on the straight has the advantage, and as you can see he didn't gave me the way to continue but already started driving.
In my opinion he was no reason for his actions, and only put people in danger as I had to go of my lane, to avoid getting hit or fall due to heavy breaking on a slippery surface.
While cycling in Tokyo and other cities that don't have proper bicycle roads/rules like they have in The Netherlands, look ahead, ride defensively and wear safety gear.
He must feel really happy that he can be at his passenger 2 seconds faster! :)
