MACAU (MACAO), EXPLORING a historic and ANCIENT BUDDHIST TEMPLE ????
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's go inside this ancient Chinese Buddhist temple in Macau (China) to witness a ceremony taking place, what an experience!
Macau is an autonomous region on the south coast of China, across the Pearl River Delta from Hong Kong. A Portuguese territory until 1999, it reflects a mix of cultural influences. Its giant casinos and malls on the Cotai Strip, which joins the islands of Taipa and Coloane, have earned it the nickname, Las Vegas of Asia. One of its more striking landmarks is the tall Macau Tower, with sweeping city views.

Macau (Macao) is a special administrative region of China, former Portuguese oversees territory (until 1999). Macau is inscribed on the UNESCO WORLD Heritage list, quote: Macao, a lucrative port of strategic importance in the development of international trade, was under Portuguese administration from the mid-16th century until 1999, when it came under Chinese sovereignty. With its historic street, residential, religious and public Portuguese and Chinese buildings, the historic centre of Macao provides a unique testimony to the meeting of aesthetic, cultural, architectural and technological influences from East and West. The site also contains a fortress and a lighthouse, the oldest in China. It bears witness to one of the earliest and longest-lasting encounters between China and the West, based on the vibrancy of international trade.

Pagode #temple
Sam Kai Vui Kun, known also as Kuan Tai Temple, (Chinese: 三街會館) is located in front of St. Dominic’s Market Complex, near Senado Square in Sé, Macau, China.
Kuan Tai (Chinese: 關帝) is the Anglicized spelling of Guan Yu, an important general during the Three Kingdoms period in China, being now worshipped both in Taoism and Buddhism.

Senado Square has been Macau's urban centre for centuries, and is still the most popular venue for public events and celebrations today. Located close to the former Senate building, Sam Kai Vui Kun ( Kuan Tai Temple ) is also a reminder of the active participation of the local Chinese community in general civic affairs, providing a clear example of the multicultural dimension of the Macao community. The square is surrounded by pastel coloured neo-classical buildings, creating a consistent and harmonious Mediterranean atmosphere.

Facing the Wall for 30 years, just to depict the beauty of China in the murals
One of greatest values of Beijing Fahai Temple is the large murals preserved in the hall.
These murals not only retain the Buddhist tradition of painting, but also the highest model of mural painting in the Ming dynasty.
Because of this, Taian Shang was infatuated with the murals there, and copied these murals for 30 years.
