Bus Travel San Antonio Texas to Monterrey Mexico. Greyhound and San Antonio's City Bus (VIA).
In this video, I begin by walking to catch a San Antonio city bus. Then, I transfer to a second city bus, before arriving in downtown San Antonio. From there I walked to the Greyhound bus station and boarded a bus to Monterrey, Mexico. Trip time eight hours.
From San Antonio, the bus stops in Laredo, then crosses into Mexico.
Once on the Mexican side, the bus stops at immigration. A inspector gets on, and if your not a Mexican, you must get off the bus and get a pass (tourist card). Then you get back on the bus. Next, everyone gets off the bus, with all their bags and goes through X-Ray. The bags go through X-Ray, not the people. :)
After that everyone walks out the door on the opposite side of the building and waits for the bus to arrive. And after that, everyone boards the bus and the trip continues.
Next stop, the bus station in Nuevo Laredo. Then it's on to Monterrey, Mexico.
Driving Downtown - San Antonio 4K - Texas USA
Driving Downtown Streets - Houston Street - San Antonio Texas USA - Episode 76.
Starting Point: .
Houston Street is the name of one of San Antonio's oldest and most popular streets. Being adjacent to The Alamo where the Battle of the Alamo occurred, some buildings on the street sustained cannon fire during the war. The historic Majestic Theater is located on this street.
San Antonio, officially the City of San Antonio, is the seventh most populated city in the United States of America and the second most populated city in the state of Texas, with a population of 1,409,019. It was the fastest growing of the top 10 largest cities in the United States from 2000 to 2010, and the second from 1990 to 2000.
San Antonio was named for Saint Anthony of Padua, whose feast day is on June 13, by a 1691 Spanish expedition in the area. It is notable for Spanish colonial missions, the Alamo, the River Walk, the Tower of the Americas, the Alamo Bowl, and Marriage Island. Commercial entertainment includes SeaWorld and Six Flags Fiesta Texas theme parks, and according to the San Antonio Convention and Visitors Bureau, the city is visited by about 32 million tourists a year. The city is home to the five-time NBA champion San Antonio Spurs and hosts the annual San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, one of the largest such events in the country.
The US armed forces have numerous facilities in San Antonio: Fort Sam Houston, Lackland Air Force Base, Randolph Air Force Base (which constitute Joint Base San Antonio), and Lackland AFB/Kelly Field Annex, with Camp Bullis and Camp Stanley located outside the city. Kelly Air Force Base operated out of San Antonio until 2001, when the airfield was transferred to Lackland AFB. The remaining portions of the base were developed as Port San Antonio, an industrial/business park and aerospace complex. San Antonio is home to six Fortune 500 companies and the South Texas Medical Center, the only medical research and care provider in the South Texas region.
The missions of the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park along with the Alamo, became part of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites on July 5, 2015.[citation needed] The San Antonio Missions became the 23rd U.S. site on the World Heritage List, which includes the Grand Canyon and the Statue of Liberty.
Economy
San Antonio has a diversified economy with about a $96.8 billion metropolitan Gross Domestic Product. This ranks the city 4th among Texas metropolitan areas and 38th in the United States. San Antonio's economy is focused primarily within military, health care, government civil service, financial services, oil and gas and tourism sectors. Within the past twenty years, San Antonio has become a significant location for American-based call centers and has added a significant manufacturing sector centered around automobiles.
Attractions
San Antonio is a popular tourist destination, often referred to simply as SA.
The Alamo Mission in San Antonio (the Alamo), located in Downtown, is Texas' top tourist attraction. Because of the mission, San Antonio is often called the Alamo City.[53]
The River Walk, which meanders through the Downtown area, is the city's second-most-visited attraction, giving it the additional nickname of River City. Extended an additional 13 miles between 2009-2013, the landscaped walking and bike path line the San Antonio River from the Museum Reach beginning at the Historic Pearl Brewery through downtown, Downtown Reach, past the Blue Star's Eagleland to the Mission Reach ending at Loop 410 South past Mission San Juan Capistrano.[54] Lined with numerous shops, bars, and restaurants, as well as the Arneson River Theater, this attraction is transformed into an impressive festival of lights during the Christmas and New Year holiday period, and is suffused with the local sounds of folklorico and flamenco music during the summer, particularly during celebrations such as the Fiesta Noche del Rio.

San Antonio - City Video Guide
San Antonio, in Texas, is close to the Mexican border. Old Spanish missions surround this river settlement. About 28 million people visit San Antonio each year to experience its Latin-style atmosphere. The main attractions are the famous Riverwalk and historically significant Alamo fortress, a symbol of proud defiance.
The old town, with its winding paths and arched bridges, is best explored on foot. Watertaxis, vintage buses and trolleys also shuttle visitors around. San Antonio's constant buzz is best enjoyed in lively hubs such as La Villita and Market Square. Bands often play at riverside amphitheaters and restaurants.
The dwellings in the Institute Of Texan Cultures provide a glimpse of early life in the Southwest. Those keen to see history through the eyes of artists should browse the San Antonio Museum of Art. Find more art in the Witte Museum, in Brackenridge Park, which also has a children's playground. Kids will also love the nearby San Antonio Zoo.
Some of San Antonio's most-visited parks are the Natural Bridge Caverns, Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch, the Botanical Gardens and Japanese Tea Gardens.
The views from the Tower Of The Americas are best when San Antonio's sparkling lights stretch out under the night's sky.

This video begins at The Tower of the Americas, a 750-foot observation tower located in HemisFair Park. Next, the jewel of the city, the River Walk, which meanders through the downtown area. Lined with numerous shops, bars, and restaurants. I also pay a short visit to the Alamo.

San Antonio Riverwalk
This video is an on board look at parts of a Riverwalk cruise which winds through the city of San Antonio, Texas. Taken on the 3rd of March 2012, it shows how wonderful the place is even during the off-peak season.
The 45 minute cruise was both enjoyable and fascinating. It is hard to believe all of this is situated in the middle of the large city of San Antonio. We would highly recommend taking this journey if you get to visit this wonderful Texas city. In fact, I wished we could have re-done the cruise again at night, which would have been even more magical. (¯`·._.·ns¢ävË·._.·´¯)

San Antonio TX skyline
San Antonio TX - not many have seen this skyline, truly unique, not the biggest, but a charm all its own...San Antonio is the second largest city in the state of Texas and the seventh largest city in the United States.
San Antonio Alamo
In this episode of Cheap Family Travel ( Nick, Regan, Maggie, and Kate spent the day at the San Antonio Alamo. The Alamo fortress was the center of the infamous Battle of the Alamo during the Texas Revolution. We enjoyed a walk along the Riverwalk in San Antonio, highlighted by a visit to the Alamo historic site. The Daughters of the Republic of Texas maintain the Texas Alamo and it is the most popular tourist attraction in Texas. We enjoyed learning about the Alamo, visiting the mission and long barracks and seeing artifacts in the Alamo museum. It was great to walk where famous Americans like Jim Bowie, Davy Crockett and William Travis made their last stand for liberty and to learn about the Battle of the Alamo. Sam Houston used the rally cry, Remember the Alamo! to inspire troops to defeat the Mexicans. Admission to the Alamo is free, which is perfect for a cheap family, but we recommend the audio tour to get the most out of your visit. So if you make it to San Antonio, Texas... Remember the Alamo!
