San Antonio Riverwalk: A San Antonio TX Must-See Destination
During our recent trip from Nevada to the Gulf Coast of Texas, Debra suggested a stop in San Antonio. This was my first visit to this city, and I knew nothing about San Antonio tourism or the various San Antonio must-see sites - like the Riverwalk or The Alamo.
I was thrilled that we planned our trip around visiting San Antonio, Texas. The Riverwalk in San Antonio is like nothing I could have imagined before seeing it. If you are visiting Texas and want to see San Antonio attractions while in the area, I heartily recommend visiting the San Antonio Riverwalk.
Note that parking in the downtown San Antonio area is at a premium (some historic downtown hotels do not even have parking lots). There are, however, parking garages and small lots throughout the downtown area. I would recommend bringing a small vehicle to downtown if possible (we left the van at a hotel outside of the city and drove the Toyota Echo).
I hope you enjoy this video of the San Antonio River Walk - The American Venice.

Driving Downtown - San Antonio 4K - Texas USA
Driving Downtown Streets - Houston Street - San Antonio Texas USA - Episode 76.
Starting Point: .
Houston Street is the name of one of San Antonio's oldest and most popular streets. Being adjacent to The Alamo where the Battle of the Alamo occurred, some buildings on the street sustained cannon fire during the war. The historic Majestic Theater is located on this street.
San Antonio, officially the City of San Antonio, is the seventh most populated city in the United States of America and the second most populated city in the state of Texas, with a population of 1,409,019. It was the fastest growing of the top 10 largest cities in the United States from 2000 to 2010, and the second from 1990 to 2000.
San Antonio was named for Saint Anthony of Padua, whose feast day is on June 13, by a 1691 Spanish expedition in the area. It is notable for Spanish colonial missions, the Alamo, the River Walk, the Tower of the Americas, the Alamo Bowl, and Marriage Island. Commercial entertainment includes SeaWorld and Six Flags Fiesta Texas theme parks, and according to the San Antonio Convention and Visitors Bureau, the city is visited by about 32 million tourists a year. The city is home to the five-time NBA champion San Antonio Spurs and hosts the annual San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, one of the largest such events in the country.
The US armed forces have numerous facilities in San Antonio: Fort Sam Houston, Lackland Air Force Base, Randolph Air Force Base (which constitute Joint Base San Antonio), and Lackland AFB/Kelly Field Annex, with Camp Bullis and Camp Stanley located outside the city. Kelly Air Force Base operated out of San Antonio until 2001, when the airfield was transferred to Lackland AFB. The remaining portions of the base were developed as Port San Antonio, an industrial/business park and aerospace complex. San Antonio is home to six Fortune 500 companies and the South Texas Medical Center, the only medical research and care provider in the South Texas region.
The missions of the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park along with the Alamo, became part of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites on July 5, 2015.[citation needed] The San Antonio Missions became the 23rd U.S. site on the World Heritage List, which includes the Grand Canyon and the Statue of Liberty.
Economy
San Antonio has a diversified economy with about a $96.8 billion metropolitan Gross Domestic Product. This ranks the city 4th among Texas metropolitan areas and 38th in the United States. San Antonio's economy is focused primarily within military, health care, government civil service, financial services, oil and gas and tourism sectors. Within the past twenty years, San Antonio has become a significant location for American-based call centers and has added a significant manufacturing sector centered around automobiles.
Attractions
San Antonio is a popular tourist destination, often referred to simply as SA.
The Alamo Mission in San Antonio (the Alamo), located in Downtown, is Texas' top tourist attraction. Because of the mission, San Antonio is often called the Alamo City.[53]
The River Walk, which meanders through the Downtown area, is the city's second-most-visited attraction, giving it the additional nickname of River City. Extended an additional 13 miles between 2009-2013, the landscaped walking and bike path line the San Antonio River from the Museum Reach beginning at the Historic Pearl Brewery through downtown, Downtown Reach, past the Blue Star's Eagleland to the Mission Reach ending at Loop 410 South past Mission San Juan Capistrano.[54] Lined with numerous shops, bars, and restaurants, as well as the Arneson River Theater, this attraction is transformed into an impressive festival of lights during the Christmas and New Year holiday period, and is suffused with the local sounds of folklorico and flamenco music during the summer, particularly during celebrations such as the Fiesta Noche del Rio.

The City of San Antonio, Texas (The Alamo) 2019
San Antonio, officially the City of San Antonio, is the seventh-most populous city in the United States, and the second-most populous city in both Texas and the Southern United States, with more than 1.5 million residents. Founded as a Spanish mission and colonial outpost in 1718, the city became the first chartered civil settlement in present-day Texas in 1731. The area was still part of the Spanish Empire, and later of the Mexican Republic. Today it is the state's oldest municipality.

The San Antonio River Walk is a city park and network of walkways along the banks of the San Antonio River, one story beneath the streets of San Antonio, Texas, United States. Lined by bars, shops, restaurants, nature, public artwork, and the five historic missions, the River Walk is an important part of the city's urban fabric and a tourist attraction in its own right.

San Antonio with Kids ????????⭐️ River Walk + Texas BBQ + Tex Mex!
We had a wedding in Austin and tried to fly to ATX, but the airlines had different ideas in mind. After a quick re-route and change in arrival city, we landed in San Antonio. Only 1.5 hours from Austin, we decided to spend a day checking out the Alamo City before making the drive over. When life hands you lemons, make tacos! That's the phrase, right?
Anyway, we hit up the River Walk, had BBQ on the side of a freeway, enjoyed that sweet, sweet TexMex, and ate at the oldest restaurant in Texas! What else did we get into?
Also, ff you've seen our previous videos, you'll know that we have a brand new goal: we're on a quest to visit all 50 states (+DC) by the time Olivia starts kindergarten. We're not counting Illinois (seems too easy) so Texas is state #1!

RRyanLewis Videos started out with humble beginnings in San Francisco, California in 2011. At first it was a small collaboration between a few friends to make funny videos out of sheer boredom. We had no illusions of becoming famous, but rather just wanted to make our friends and family laugh. We started out with train horn pranks scaring the locals around San Fran. We made a few travel videos and sarcastic tutorials, as well as a few other random funny pranks such as bad pick up lines out on the Pier. Then we tried out wearing a ghillie suit and hiding in the Golden Gate Park for some scare prank videos. And they were a hit! Everybody loved them so much (all 15 followers, ha!), we upgraded the suit, got more accessories, and started hitting the park every weekend or after work. We quickly found that while the park videos were great, people actually were scared much more when we planted ourselves somewhere supposedly super obvious, like in a flower container in the middle of an urban sidewalk. Apparently people expect a tree to pop out at you in the woods…but not in the street!
After a year, our page and channel started taking off with the Bushman pranks in the lead. We continued to create other random pranks and challenge videos on the side as well, but we decided to dedicate our page to predominately Bushman. And thus The Bushman Channel was born. After another year or so, we hit 100k subscribers, and then several of our videos went viral! As our channel continued to grow, we branched out to collaborate with other arborist-inclined youtubers across the nation to bring you the best Bushman videos! We are now based out of Oregon, but we film our Bushman pranks from California to Las Vegas to Florida, and anywhere in between we can. Maybe we will see you in your town soon! But you probably won’t see us until it’s too late!
