Sorrento & Amalfi by Land & Sea
Enjoy a very scenic and relaxing excursion, experiencing Italy's most famous coastline by motor launch, with minimal walking involved, and time within the beautiful village of Sorrento. After an approximate one-hour drive by coach, you will arrive to the town of Salerno, located at the very end of the Amalfi Coast. There you'll board a private motor launch and enjoy a 45-minute cruise, viewing the Dolomitic cliffs, which at many points, tower perpendicularly out of the sea and have been sculpted by nature into fantastic shapes. Amalfi is situated at the mouth of a deep gorge along the coast. Learn how this was a major shipping port during the Middle Ages and it was also an independent maritime state. Enjoy a narrated walk around the town center of Amalfi, with your guide, who will explain the history and architecture of the Cathedral of St. Andrew as you marvel at the exterior architecture, a mix of Moorish and early Gothic design. Its main treasures are the 11th-century bronze doors from Constantinople. Enjoy some free time on your own in Amalfi, for maybe shopping or relaxation, before cruising back to Salerno where your coach will be waiting to drive you to Sorrento. With its luxuriant vegetation and sun-drenched climate, Sorrento became a favorite resort of wealthy Romans. Experience this cliff-top setting, with an imposing Duomo, distinctive for its 13th-century cloister, and a charming, flower-filled town, all there for you to explore. Enjoy lunch with wine in a local restaurant in Sorrento before returning back to your ship.
Note: Tour is not available for winter sailings. Guests must be able to walk approximately 500 yards over even surfaces with 5 - 10 steps. There are several steps to access the lunch venue. Comfortable walking shoes, hat, and sunscreen are highly recommended. Walking during the free time is at the guests' discretion. The drive between Naples and Salerno is approximately 45 minutes and from Sorrento to Naples is approximately 1 1/2 hours. Guests wishing to enter the Cathedral of St. Andrew on their own must ascend approximately 60 or more very steep steps. The order of the tour may be reversed. The motor launch has both inside and outside seating. In case of bad weather conditions and/or rough seas, the cruise to Amalfi will be cancelled and an orientation drive of Naples will be made instead. Due to traffic restrictions of the Sorrento center a short walk from the motorcoach drop off point to the main center and vice versa will be required. During summer months expect extreme heat, crowded venues and long lines. We recommend that you dress in layers and bring bottled water.

A great dive at Sorrento pier, with some cool fish that ended with an awesome Cuttlefish. Great vis but strong currents which after chasing the cuttle fish out down current gave a pretty decent swim back to the pier :)

Fort Nepean is a former defensive facility occupying part of #PointNepean, #Victoria, #Australia. It was part of a network of fortifications, commanded from #Fort #Queenscliff, protecting the narrow entrance to Port Phillip.
Located at the very end of the peninsula, #FortNepean enables you to step into the boots of the soldiers once posted there. Fort Nepean was a critical part of Victoria’s defences from the 1880s until 1945. It was the largest and most heavily armed installation in the network of #fortifications around the entrance to #PortPhillip, and today remains an outstanding example of the evolution of gun technology and Australia’s early defence strategies. The first shot of the British Empire in #WWI and the first Australian shots of #WorldWarll were fired from Fort Nepean, earning its entry in military history. These battlements were modified and used right up until the end of World War II.

Percoso emozionale Sirene al Museo George Vallet di Piano di Sorrento
L'associazione Oebalus.

Swimming with Dolphins and Seals in Sorrento
Pompeii, ancient Roman city under a dynamic sky (4K)
The ancient Roman city Pompeii is famous for its incredible conservation status. Huge ash layers preserved all anorganic remnants of the city and its inhabitants. Also organic tissue persisted in partly remarkable conditions, but can not be compared with artefacts, which survived the destruction of the neighbour city Herculaneum. There lava rocks enabled an airtight seal and thus could shield decomposing microorganisms.
Unlike Herculaneum, Pompeii is also famous as the city without roofs. And indeed, when walking through the vast excavated area of ancient ruins, no higher buildings are shading or obstruct a free view to the sky. Exactly these phenomina male sauntering through Pompeii so unique. The sky with its seasonal dynamics is from everywhere always well visible and due to in spring or in autumn sometimes rapidly changing weather conditions, a dramatic atmosphere based on powerfully moving cloud formations can occur.

Qeqertarsuatsiaat: Qeqertarsuatsiaat, formerly Fiskernæs or Fiskenæsset, is a settlement in the Sermersooq municipality in southwestern Greenland, located on an island off the shores of Labrador Sea. Its population was 235 in 2010. Kikertarsocitsiak or Qeqertarsuatsiaat has long been the local name for the island (Kalaallisut: Rather Large Islands). It was first settled by the Danes as Fiskernæs in 1754. The name was often anglicized as Fishers Inlet. The trading post was founded by the merchant Anders Olsen on behalf of the Danish General Trade Company, which was granted a royal monopoly on trade in Greenland but only in and around its settlements. Like most Greenlandic trading posts, it was a location for the Danes to trade imported goods for seal skins and seal and whale blubber gathered by Kalaallit in the area. Unusually, the settlement became the early center of Greenlands salmon and cod fisheries and it was as common to see the large womans boat or umiak as the smaller hunting kayaks. [wikipedia]

Korg MS-20
Lyrics
She gets on with life as a Seal,
She's a Seal kinda gal.
She likes Sealing and Sealing with sweet.
She likes to contemplate Seals.
But when she starts to daydream,
Her mind turns straight to Sealing.
Onk onk onk!
Does she love Sealing more than Seals?
Does she love Sealing more than Seals?
She likes to use words like 'Seal' and 'Sealing.'
She likes to use words about Seals.
But when she stops her talking,
Her mind turns straight to Sealing.
Onk onk onk!
Does she love Sealing more than Seals?
Does she love Sealing more than Seals?
She likes to hang out with Pingu and Onk.
But when left alone,
Her mind turns straight to Sealing.
Onk onk onk!
Does she love Sealing more than Seals?
Does she love Sealing more than Seals?
She hates Slaughter of seals and Dead seals.
But she just thinks back to Sealing,
And she's happy once again.
Onk onk onk!

Hi today I’m going to show you how to fit a set of front wind deflectors to a Kia Sportage.
In the box you will get the instructions to show you how to install the wind deflectors, and the wind deflectors for both front windows. You will need a cleaning cloth to remove any excess dirt from the seals.
Firstly you will need to let down the window.
Once you have let down the window you need to take your cleaning cloth and clean off any excess dirt around where you are going to install the wind deflector.
Once the area is cleaned off, take the correct side wind deflector, and to aid installation you can use a water and soap solution just to help with lubrication when fitting it also when putting the window into place as you will see.
I’m going to spray a bit of soap and water into the seal.
Simply feed the wind deflector between the seal and the door frame.
Once you have slotted it in, take the window up. You may need to take it down and back up again on initial installation and just guide the glass into place.
Once the wind deflectors fit and the window is in the fully closed position we recommend leaving them for at least 24 hours to allow the wind deflectors to seat into place.
And that’s how you fit a set of wind deflectors to a Kia Sportage.

Travel tips for Santorini, Greece:
- The last tender boat back to the ship leaves at 4:30.
- Allow ample travel time for your destinations. You need to drive to the popular sites.
- Plan for big lines to get back onto the ship is bonkers for the cable cars and tenders!
- If you can, get premium disembarking packages. You get two tickets that let’s you disembark before everyone else. This saves you so much time! My tour guide told us her coworker was still waiting for their customers to disembark 1 hour later.
- Book a private tour guide to take us around Santorini. It will save you a lot of time.
- Walk in the REVERSE of all of the ship tours in the mornings and you'll skip all of the crowds.
- It cost 6 euros a person for a one way ticket for the Santorini cable car. Remember to bring some cash as it is cash only. For the best view sit on the right side of the gondola. You'll be facing the ocean instead of a hill.
- AVOID walking on the donkey trail. It's slippery and you can easily fall or get kicked by the donkeys. I also wouldn't ride the donkeys as it's expensive and they look miserable.
- I recommend this tour company:
The good thing is because we booked tours from 3 different cities we got a 10% discount.
Top Things to Do and See in Santorini:
- Oia -
Oia is famous for viewing the sunset. I heard it was beautiful because different colors from the sunset bounce off the white buildings. It must be a romantic place to be.
Oia is such a beautiful place to visit. There’s all these little narrow paths everywhere because it helps reduces the wind and also to protect them from pirate attacks. This way they cannot attack with a huge army but instead are forced to enter one by one because the streets are so narrow.
- Black Sand Kamari Beach -
Santorini is unique because it’s one of the few places where you can visit white, black, and red beaches all on one island. Bring towels or a bathing suit as it's a nice, pretty place to relax and enjoy the ocean.
- Pyrgos -
Pyrgos is a typical example of medieval architecture with narrow, twisty streets, fortified walls and hidden passages. If you want peace and quiet away from all the tourists then this town is a must visit. It was mostly just to see the buildings in a much quieter setting compared to Oia.
- Venesantos Winery -
Because it's so windy on Santorini, the farmers and vineyards grow crops in a unique way…for example, the wine grapes are grown on the ground in bunches rather than on vines.
The wine grapes on Santorini are grown with no irrigation! The vines get all their necessary water from “sea fog” which is a mix of humid ocean air and moisture from the active volcano. I loved their wine so much we bought two bottles.
I wish I could buy more but we didn't have any more room left in our suitcases. But they ship their wines to these places - maybe one day in the future I will find their wines there.

Altarimini.
