quick tour of shinjuku
Was in Shinjuku doing some christmas shopping, and stopped at random places to take some shots of the sights and people in Shinjuku.
0:14 Intersection in front of Omoide Yokocho
0:30 JR station East exit in front of Alta
0:37 Yasukuni dori Isetan department store
0:51 on the Koshu Kaido overlooking the Green Peas pachinko parlor. There is a kebab stand that I usually go to when I'm hungry right next to the pachinko parlor.
0:57 Again on Koshu Kaido. This time overlooking one of the busiest places in Shinjuku foot traffic wise. Countless people passing out kleenex and other papers, street performers, guys trying to pick up girls, and between the two staircases a thick cloud of cigarette smoke.
1:06 From the overpass looking at the South exit of JR station. This is where news crew post up whenever there are typhoons or train delays.
1:11 Same overpass looking the opposite direction towards Nishi Shinjuku. The three tiered building in the distance is the Park Hyatt hotel where they stayed in the movie Lost in Translation.
1:19 Overlooking Shinjuku Gyoen from Takashimaya department store
1:22 Taito station Shinjuku Minami game center. Gunslinger Stratos which is some kind of FPS
1:27 rhythm/timing games are pretty big here. It's amazing to watch how much eye hand coordination they have.
1:32 DDR still draws people
1:53 not your regular ledges and wedges. Coin games are on another level here
2:11 A quiet moment for a security person as he watches a Kyari Pamyupamyu video on the huge screen at Labi
2:22 Looking towards ShinOkubo from Odakyu department store overpass
2:31 The bus depot on the west side of JR station
Shinjuku Bunka Center - 2 OTIS Spec Alsa Traction Lifts
There are only two lifts in this building, and they are Japanese OTIS Spec Alsas from around the 90's. They run very well compared to the crap chinese OTIS 3200s you could find dotted around Thailand, and they use very similar fixtures. Only that this one here in Japan is very well made and doesn't break down easily at all. Something is strange about these lifts, which is that there is a directional indicator at the back wall of the lift. It is useful, but very strange as you don't see this everyday. Also, I have never seen handicap panels on Spec Alsas like these! I also have never seen analogue indicators on OTISes before, and they look very neat. The doors on these two lifts are very fast when opening, efficient. But the lift's speed is very slow like a hydraulic. It should be probably 1 m/s regarding my opinion. Or 1.5 m/s would be quite good of when the concert hall is busy. The reason I'm able to film at this place is because me and my music friends from the same music school had a concert there (Airy from the previous videos included in it too).

TOKYO: My First Solo Trip
This is a personal music video I made for the purpose of reminding my future self the moment I did something my past-self never thought I would. It is also a message to my past self that dreams do come true.
I was over the top about my first solo trip to a place I hold very special feelings for.
Music: CLOSER - Joe Inoue
Favorite lines from lyrics [translation]
The things closest to you
You need to always pay the most attention to
If you get too close to something
You'll lose sight of it
What in the world is the happiness
That you gained from your newest experience?
Maybe you're just too blessed to remember!
That you're here
That you're breathing
Realize that's just a miracle in itself

BEST HOSTEL IN TOKYO Wise Owl Hostels Tokyo | Budget Travel Guide
A tour of the Wise Owl Hostels Tokyo, the best Hostel in Tokyo.
Finding accommodations that are affordable and in a great location in Tokyo with English speaking staff can be difficult, so where should you stay in Tokyo? Well this is our review of the Wise Owl Hostels Tokyo that is in our opinion; the best hostel in Tokyo for travelers on a budget. Follow Tyler take you on tour and give you a review of this Hostel with English speaking staff, hosting its own nightlife with a club and bar, and is only an 18 minute walk from Tokyo Station.
Wise Owl Hostel Tokyo review:
The Wise Owl hostel is in the center of Tokyo a short walk from the station and is close to the imperial palace. The Hostel has its own club, cafe and izakaya! It really is an awesome place to stay with a great environment to make friends during your travels in Japan. The rooms at Wise Owl Hostel Tokyo start from 7000 yen per person for a night and that is quite cheap for a Hostel so close to the center of the city. If you are looking for an relaxing stay with a great night out to go along with it then I cannot recommend this Hostel enough.
Tokyo is full of Hostels but none of the stick to the same quality of Wise Owl Hostel, their staff are very friendly and most of them speak English. Along with this they are all willing to help you make your stay in Tokyo the best time possible.
The Hostel has 3 different room types:
Private rooms with double beds, These rooms are for those who are wanting the Hostel experience but still want their stay in Tokyo to be a bit more private or personal.
Family rooms, Perfect rooms for those who are travelling in a group and what to be together whether it be with friends or family these rooms are definitely the way to make your time at Wise Owl Hostel Tokyo cheaper and more group based.
Dormitories, If you are interested in the cheapest and more communal travel style than the cube capsule hotel style dormitory of Wise Owl Hostel Tokyo is the best way to make friends in Tokyo at a low cost and have a great time if you are a solo traveller looking to add to your travel group.
All in all the Wise Owl Hostel Tokyo is an absolute must from the team at Doga TV and we recommend every traveller in Tokyo to check this place out even if you are going to hit up the club or the izakaya.
THIS WAS A SPONSORED VIDEO~ HOWEVER, I STAND BY MY STATEMENT THAT IT WAS THE COOLEST PLACE IVE EVER FILMED AT. I ACTUALLY DRANK AT THE BAR WITH AFTER THE VIDEO. :D
