Sorrento, Italy Walking Tour in 4K
WALKING IN SORRENTO, ITALY: Sorrento, also known as the Gateway to the Amalfi Coast, sits high up on the mountainous Sorrentine peninsula and looks out over the Bay of Naples. Take a walk through its ancient streets, past boutiques, and limoncello stands and then down to the old fishing quarter, Marina Grande. From there you'll see amazing views out over the bay as you walk down the cliff face to the beach clubs below. There you will see Marina Piccola, Sorrento's main port where you can catch a ferry to the surrounding islands including Capri, Ischia and Procida. Finally you'll walk up a winding road and end up looking out over old ruins in the Valley of the Mills. ????For an even more immersive experience, be sure to put on your headphones and listen in 3D audio.

Hike Punta della Campanella Sorrento, Italy
Just video, see what the hike in action is like. Stunning. Also view my Views video (posted nearby) of the same hike for just images.
Sorrento, Italy - Punta Campanella Hike Views
One of the top 10 spectacular-view hikes I've taken. Trail starts in the small village of Termini, a short bus ride from Sorrento. This Punta della Campanella trail is popular among hiking clubs, tourist who love to hike, and anyone who enjoys sea views and crumbling lighthouses, the destination. Hike takes about 4-5 hours if you include the church above Termini. Tip: At the end of the hike, go to the lemoncello factory near the bus stop for some refreshment on site and to take home. Experience Italy: Sorrento Peninsula
If it feels like Italy’s offerings are endless, that’s probably because they are. While you may never be able to explore the whole country in one trip, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try. If you’ve always dreamed of immersing yourself in the history, culture, and food of this amazing country, you’re in luck. Let TourRadar take you through even more of the best spots and hidden gems around the Sorrento Peninsula, one of Italy’s most jaw-dropping destinations.
The Sorrento Peninsula is home to some of Italy’s best sights, tastes, and experiences: sip on authentic limoncello, made from the region’s famous lemons, explore the unique gothic architecture of the ancient towns, or embrace Italy’s cultural and religious significance.
On the southern edge of the peninsula you’ll find the Amalfi coast, where you can relax by the beach, chat with locals in markets and restaurants, or hike the famous “Path of the Gods.” The Amalfi is known for amazing food and gorgeous views: even the pickiest eaters and the most discerning travellers are sure to find something to love about it.
If history’s more your thing, check out the lost city of Pompeii, which sits on the peninsula’s western side. Wander the preserved streets to get a real glimpse of what life in this once-bustling city was like. Hike to the top of Mt. Vesuvius for great views of the ruin, and to see what was lost when this dormant volcano erupted all those years ago.
Looking for relaxation? Few places have you covered better than the Sorrento Peninsula. Take a boat to the seaside towns that dot the coast, indulge in a little retail therapy, or just enjoy the atmosphere of some of Italy’s best beaches.
Whether you’re looking for inspiration, getting excited about an upcoming trip, or just daydreaming about pasta and pizza, we hope this video has you ready to experience la dolce vita. We’re sure you’re more than ready to check out the Sorrento Peninsula for yourself, so what are you waiting for?

Walking Sorrento
Walking the streets of Sorrento, Italy, in Summer.
A Hike in the Mountains of Southern Italy. Molare - Highest Point on the Sorrento/Amalfi Peninsula.
In this video, I am up in the mountains above Napoli in southern Italy, hiking up in the range known as Monte Sant’Angelo or ‘Tre Pizzi’, the highest point on the Lattari, the backbone of the Sorrento/Amalfi peninsula between the Gulf of Salerno and the Bay of Naples.
My walk begins after a panoramic cable car ride to Monte Faito and then a climb up to the summit of Monte Sant’Michele (1444m or 4737ft) better known as Molare (translated as the Molar, due to its distinctive tooth shape) with amazing 360 degree views across to Pompeii, Naples and Vesuvius to the north, Punta Campanella and the Island of Capri to the West and the Amalfi coast to the south. My return descent takes me to some stunning caves with views down to the forested valley two thousand feet below and back down the ridge to where I started.
This area of Italy boasts some stunning, rugged landscapes with a well waymarked network of superb trails to explore - I’ll be back!
I hope you enjoy the video and thanks for watching!

The Best Hike in the World is Italy’s Path of the Gods
The Amalfi Coast in Italy is simply one of the most beautiful places on earth, with its unique beaches, stunning fresco style houses and gorgeous views. It also has lots to offer if you like boutique shopping and delicious Italian food. What some people might not know is that the Amalfi Coast is also home to one of the most beautiful hikes in the world. Il Sentiero degli Dei also known as The Path of Gods is a 3 hour hike along the epic coast line. The surroundings of the hike are full of natural beauty with blooming Mediterranean vegetation, isolated farms and really cool old houses that are slowly decaying by the forces of nature. It's all here in our latest episode of Shorts, where we discover the best parts of the world in bite size format.
