North Carolina Dolphins
Shark Fishing the majority of the time is slow. This is an example of what we do when the bite is off. Wilmington NC Beach was as calm as I have ever seen it this day. Enjoying the beauty of nature in isolation is an added perk to shark fishing.

Paddle Beautiful Beaufort 8 17 13
Weekend's paddling trip around Beaufort, SC August 17+18, 2013. Rain was forecast at 70% Saturday and 50% Sunday, but we only got hit by brief light sprinkles on Saturday while paddling. Typical South Carolina accuracy forecast, with us lucky. Thank goodness for local radar. Overcast skies were fantastic and made for a cool temp paddle, lower 80s that felt even lower on the water. We visited 2 historically reserved tabby ruins from the 1700's- Sam's Family Plantation and Fort Frederick. Wildlife included seeing dolphins, small sharks (one swimming under Anne's kayak bumping it, with the expected reaction), Ospreys carrying food to their nest, pelicans, storks, and numerous other birds. Paddling trips worth repeating, judging by all the smiles and thanks!
