Tokyo was in my bucket list but didn’t expect to see it too soon. I was intimidated with the their subway map and the visa application is too much work for me… hehehe
When I arrived in Tokyo on December 10, 2018, I can’t believe that I’m finally in Japan! Grabe ibang feeling!
I grabbed a milk tea from the vendo and onigiri from 7-eleven. I took the limousine bus to Narita Airport to Shibuya. Arrived at Hotel Emit, my hotel for 3 days at 4PM. Did a short room tour and started exploring at around 5PM. Tiring but any lakwatsera can handle it… hehehe
I was planning to eat at the convenience store but decided to try Ichiran ramen instead. I didn’t include in the vlog some other stuff like going to Life Supermarket, Mandarake for my husband’s toy, Sansui for my dad’s fishing accessory, and Daiso.

Saturday, 11th May 2013/Sunday, 12th May 2013 - Stumbled upon an unnamed bar in Shibuya. Turned out to be named The Trump Room. Curiosity got the better of me so I popped in for a look-see. This place had 3 floors. I personally thought the first floor was the best. AND it was pretty classy. Chandeliers everywhere. Although, if you're almost 7ft tall, it's not very height-friendly. Here, I met Asuka and her friend Yuka. I was with John (Sydney/UK) and Elaina (New York).

Airbnb Shibuya, Japan (Tokyo)
2nd time traveling to Japan and decided to use Airbnb again and very happy I did. Compared to a hotel I get way more space, affordable, better location and overall a better stay. Like any Airbnb/hotel you have have good and bad experiences but this one was fantastic. I recommend this location for a variety of reasons. The location is fantastic being close to the Shibuya train station makes it a breeze to travel all over Japan. We had a JR pass so being able to walk and catch the train was great. We stayed in the same building the previous year with other guests but seeing as it was only 2 of us this time we decided it made more sense to stay in a smaller apartment. There are restaurants everywhere, all you have to do is walk outside and look, you have a ton of options. Family mart, Starbucks, and a few pharmacies are just a walk away making it really convenient when you need medication, water, snacks or general items for the apartment during your stay. The building itself is really quiet so having a restful sleep is a breeze. The area is safe and the building is pretty easy to find once you know where to look.

Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel is a cool high-rise building worthy of a landmark in Shibuya.
I had my room upgrade from Standard Floor to Executive Floor for free. Fortunately, I was able to have a good time. I enjoyed the view of Shibuya, Shinjuku Skyline, Yoyogi Park from Executive Floor. I was especially impressed with the lighting of Shibuya Hikarie. I think it’s a great hotel. This hotel has Kenichi Chen's Sichuan restaurant. He is a chef I admire. However, on that night, I bought a Kiyoken’s “shumai dumpling bento lunch box” at Tokyu Department store and ate it. I love Kiyoken’s “shumai dumpling bento lunch box”. It’s very popular in the Tokyo Yokohama area. Kiyoken’s “shumai dumpling” whose rich flavor comes from a mix of pork and dried scallop ligaments. The rice take on a flavor of kyogi (paper-thin sheet of wood, bento box material) moves to rice, and is delicious. It’s so delicious even though it’s sold in large quantities, It’s a miracle bento!
