Thailand Tourism Fallout Documentary ❤️
Thailand Tourism Documentary. Filipina Dating Website: ❤️
This documentry looks at the impact tourism is having on the Natural Environment in Thailand. Particularly shocking to me was the dicsovery that the 'Escape Routs' for tourists in the event of a tsunami, literally leads to a 'Locked Gate' a veritable death trap.
Thailand plans to reduce environmental damage from island tourism
The Thai government is planning to adopt measures against increasing environmental damage caused by tourism on three popular islands in southern Thailand.
the government will ban fishing, fish feeding, anchoring on coral reefs, construction on the beach, and walking on the seabed on the islands, said Jatuporn Burutphat, director of the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources on Friday.
The islands include Koh Samui, Koh Tao and Koh Phangan. Koh Phangan is known internationally for its regular Full Moon Parties and is visited by almost one million tourists a year, while Koh Samui welcomed more than 2.3 million tourists in 2016 alone.

Tackling the problem of Bangkok's growing stray animal population

5. SOUNDBITE (English) Mark Stelzner, SCAD Volunteer:
Normally in a situation like this, you kind of take the cream off the top, which are all the really friendly dogs, and they sometimes practically walk into the portable kennels. But then sometimes we have to really be insistent with some animals that are shy or a little bit feral, especially when it's an animal that we really think needs the attention because it has an injury or something, and they can be quite difficult to catch.

She has a lot of puppies and I am tired of taking care of them. Sometimes they get sick and I don't have medicine or vaccines for them. Another one died and I couldn't help it either. She's too tired from giving birth to four or five puppies.

10. SOUNDBITE (Thai) Lamphung Aesamut, Dog Caregiver:
She has so many puppies. They are all over the house. I can't take care of them. The food and everything else costs too much. Another dog had puppies and then died. I felt very sorry for it.

18. SOUNDBITE (French) Delphine Ronfot, Veterinary Nurse and Health Center Manager, SCAD:
These are diseases that can kill animals in the long term. Most of the animals that survive life on the streets catch these illnesses, so it's the first thing we do once we receive the animals. We treat them, after doing tests first of all. We do tests, and virtually all the dogs are positive. We then treat them for about four or five weeks. After that they are okay, but these are illnesses that animals generally carry for their entire lives. They are carriers, but we are able to treat these sicknesses very well and everything goes well after that.

Thieves in Bangkok - Exit from Moo Baan Nisachon, Charansanitwong 13, Bangkok, Thailand
The thieves are captured by the CCTV in our village taking the exit. The first man walked before the second. The second man was carrying the bag of my daughter where they put the computer notebook, iPad 2, Sony PSP, Sony Video Camera, Oregon Bracelet, two Swatch Watches and gold jewelries they stole from our house. I know that the video isn't clear. I hope someone can make the video clearer so that the faces of the thieves can be identified. We had reported it to the police. But it seems like appropriate action was NOT done yet. Hope someone can help us. If they will not be arrested, they will have more victims, sooner or later.
GETTING MY HOSTEL OWNERS TO VLOG! - BANGKOK, THAILAND
A quick stop over to Bangkok to decompress. I've already knocked out most of the tourist traps but there were a few places I wanted to revisit and still had to check out before heading out to Koh Tao to start my Divemaster course.
I just wanted to thank the owners of Home Mali Hostel, Krit and Bua, for their amazing hospitality, showing me around Mahanark Market, and just being some cool ass people.
Start vlogging Krit! you're a natural!

FILMCO Documentary: Hunting For Cages Part 3
Hunting For Cages is a short documentary on the on going struggle of a Small island off the Gulf of Thailand and their fight to preserve paradise on Koh Tao. Headed by Chad Scott from save Koh Tao and supported by Koh Exist, New Heaven Diving and various other dive schools the local communities actions to prevent illegal fishing within protected areas around Koh Tao are the focus of this piece. It is particularly relevant at this time as the Local Government is following a meeting last week considering expanding the protected area around Koh Tao and various other preventative measures.

ABOUT KOH TAO
KOH TAO TRANSLATES AS TURTLE ISLAND, SO NAMED BECAUSE OF IT'S SHAPE AND ALSO THERE WERE MANY OF TURTLES LIVING AROUND.
It's only about 21 sq Km and is remotely located about 70 km far from the mainland.
From 1933 to 1947 Koh Tao was used to jail political prisoners of the Bowaradech Uprising. Many were transferred from Koh Tarutao to Koh Tao by reason of its location lonely in the middle of the Gulf of Thailand.
The community in Koh Tao was settled at the first time when the villagers from Koh Samui and Koh Phangan immigrated and were on the land of Koh Tao in 1947. Before that there were some people who came and used the land for coconut plantation and small fishery.
During the past 15 years the reputation of Koh Tao's natural beauty, especially its marine life and coral reefs due to the island's distance from the mouth of Mae Nam Tapi, which affords high visibility and an abundance of marine life. It soon became one of the major dive sites of South East Asia.
FROM KRABI, PHUKET, PHI PHI
If coming from the south directly to Koh Tao then make your way to Surat Thani. From there a night boat leaves daily at 23:00 and arrives at 5:00 the following morning. Tickets are 500 baht. This ride is not particularly comfortable for all and another option would be to fly from Phuket to Koh Samui and then take the boat here

Sleeper Train to Bangkok - Reclining Buddha & Tuk Tuk Scam in Thailand
Well, that's it for Chiang Mai, Thailand because we are catching a sleeper train overnight to Bangkok!
After rushing to get to the train in time, we get to Chiang Mai railway station with 10 minutes to spare. Boarding was a simple and well organized process so we settled in, put the bags under the seats and were off! The train has seats that convert into a one person bed and then a second bed folds down for the other person at night time. First class tickets didn't cost a whole lot more than ours but apparently book out right when released almost but if you do manage to get some you get your own private room with a door even! Would recommend trying that if you planned your train far enough in advance.
After checking out the cool touch doors and other facilities we stopped by the dinner cart on the train. It was pretty similar to restaurant prices and nothing spectacular but it hit the spot. Pro tip, a lot of other passengers packed meals on to the train with them to eat since we were boarding at dinner basically anyway, so that is an option instead too. After dinner it was time to watch some shows then catch some sleep. Alysha slept fine but I found the beds a bit cramped and would imagine anyone over 6ft would have a rough time even fitting in let alone comfortable. Sleeping in the top bunk it felt like a rollercoaster at times as we zoomed around Thailand hitting the odd large bump and sharp corner but a unique experience none the less.
And boom 7:00am and we arrived in Bangkok. We had time to kill that day until we could check into our airbnb so we sat at the coffee shop a good while in the Bangkok train station before heading to a mall that would let you check your luggage up to 4 hours, for free! Our Airbnb host kind of gave us the run around all day making it sound like he would let us check in early but after eventually getting told to meet him, and then having to wait one more hour for him still on the side walk outside luggage and all in the sun, we were in.
Our Bangkok AirBnB was on the 26th floor so that was a fun little bonus to it. It had a convenience store attached to the lobby of the hotel and also a mall (Senafest, Bangkok) close by with some restaurants so we hit the ground to check out the area. Mall looked beautiful but actually didn't have too much for us to check out, 3/5 I would say as a Luke's mall top picks rating. We then walked over to the Riverside and checked that area out before calling it a day and getting some sleep on a real bed.
Day 2 Bangkok we went to Wat Pho which is a huge temple area and houses the 46 meter long reclining Buddha. We walked the grounds taking in all of the sites, and then left and so began our Bangkok Tuk Tuk run around. We ended up seeing the 32 meter tall standing Buddha, chat with a few cheesy suit pushers as the video mentions (Thailand has suit shops and suit hustling schemes EVERYWHERE) and catch a beautiful sunset at The Golden Mount, Bangkok Thailand.
After finding out our driver had ditched us after completing his mission of getting us in the suit shop we called a Grab and got out of the dark and home safe and sound. We saw some cool sights on the Tuk Tuk still driving through Bangkok and got a unique experience as well so I'd call it a success.
Next video we get up to some equally awesome stuff, watching live Muay Thai fights, checking out Khaosan road and the comedy club there and took an awesome dinner and river cruise through the heart of Bangkok with views of the Palace. Was definitely an amazing time.
Thanks for watching as always friends and also woohoo on all the new subs joining our lil ol' family! We really appreciate each and every one of you guys. Like and subscribe if you'd like and we'll catch you in the next video (Or comments section haha), take care!

???????? Thailand Forest Safety: TIGERS, BEARS, Leopards, Snakes, Scorpions!
Guess which one I'm REALLY afraid of in Thailand's Forest? Thailand forest is generally pretty safe if you don't have the large animals to worry about like Tigers, Bears, Elephants, Leopards, and other wild cats. Most forests in Thailand do not have tigers, elephants, and big leopards or other wild cats. Most have bears, but I have never heard of a bear attacking someone in Thailand. Not yet, anyway.
Snakes are a problem. One snake really - the Malayan Pit Viper. They are common and very dangerous snakes in the rainforest, pretty much all over the country. They have a horribly necrotic venom.
Elephants in the forest can be a problem - you should always know which animals are in the forest you're walking around in, or camping in. Camping in Thailand can be dangerous when you don't know what the dangers are. I don't go in forest with elephants, they are mainly in Bangkok area parks (east and west of Bangkok) and north.
Tigers are somewhat common on the Burma (Myanmar) border. Rubber tappers get taken by a tiger about once a year or so. That's how many times we hear about it. Maybe it happens more often.
Scorpions hurt, but there are no real deadly scorpions in the country.
Spiders hurt, but the real dangerous spiders - the brown recluse or the black widow - are not common, if they are even here at all. I've never seen either in the forest.
Bees are a problem. Don't mess with them. Don't swing at them. Certainly don't kill one. They leave a scent in the air that calls hundreds of other bees to come and sting you. You can die, some people die each year from bees. Probably one of the worst ways to die, I'd think.
People in the forest are not usually a problem. I never had a problem with anyone in the rainforest in Krabi, Phuket, Ubon, Sisaket, Surat, Trang, or anywhere else. There are hunters and rubber tappers in the forest at night. Sometimes guys who trap birds in nets check their nets at night.
Is Thailand's Forest Dangerous?
Yes, and no. With caution, you will be fine. There are very few deaths from any wild animals each year in Thailand. If you're cautious - you'll be fine.
