Tour de Yorkshire through Middlesbrough, England, UK
Tour de Yorkshire is professional cycle race through Yorkshire. Cyclists passed through Middlesbrough on 01 May 2016. Thousands of people gathered around the streets to support and encourage the cyclists. Children were specially excited.
It also provided an opportunity for families to have some time to enjoy and people to socialise with each other as well.

GRATEFUL Challenge 2015 - Day 1 of 28 - Who's IN?!?
I think we all go through cycles of high and low energy depending on what's going on in our individual lives at the time, and for me the past several months have harbored some challenges I could have done without.. but then it is time to get back to basics and re-learn to remember and appreciate the things we have and the people in our lives that make our days worth living... so when a friend suggested to try a Grateful Challenge, I gave it some serious thought and decided, why not?! Certainly can't hurt anything and could end up being fun and even a positive experience for some of you that decide to share in it!
Some of you will likely be thinking, uh oh, Rick's losing his mind already, Lol... but I can assure you it's nothing of the kind... I lost my mind a long time ago! ;) But seriously, sometimes it's just time for a lift in attitude and appreciation, and this is a good time for that.. so I hope some of you will join me in the exploration of appreciation and gratitude, and feel free to leave a comment with your own item of what you are grateful for each day also, and we'll see just how many of us we can give a positive lift and have some fun at the same time! :)

Little Red Riding Hood: A Mango Panto
The children and staff of Mango Tree House in the RIzal Province, Philippines worked very hard over the last few months to perform a traditional English Pantomime, with a Philippine twist of course! Opening night was on the 16th November 2014, at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati. This is a sneak peak at the behind the scenes rehearsals and the build up to the big night! Resolute desk
The Resolute desk is a large, nineteenth-century partners' desk often chosen by presidents of the United States for use in the White House Oval Office as the Oval Office desk. It was a gift from Queen Victoria to President Rutherford B. Hayes in 1880 and was built from the timbers of the British Arctic Exploration ship Resolute. Franklin Roosevelt requested the addition of a door with the presidential seal to conceal his leg braces. Many presidents since Hayes have used the desk at various locations in the White House, but it was Jackie Kennedy who first brought the desk into the Oval Office in 1961 for President John F. Kennedy. It was removed from the White House only once, after the assassination of President Kennedy in 1963, when President Johnson allowed the desk to go on a traveling exhibition with the Kennedy Presidential Library. After this it was on display in the Smithsonian Institution. President Jimmy Carter brought the desk back to the Oval Office, where Presidents Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush used it. It is currently in use by President Barack Obama.
