Walking in Ueno, Tokyo - Ameyoko market street & Ueno Park - Fujifilm X-T3 - 4K 60 FPS
Ueno is one of the most important transportation hubs in northern Tokyo. Here, many important lines, both JR and Tokyo Metro meet. Thanks to the many people passing through every day, the area has also turned into a major entertainment and shopping hub.
Next to the JR train tracks, you will find one of the biggest open-air markets in Tokyo - Ameyoko (a shortened version of the official name, Ameyokocho). Hundreds of small shops, selling everything from fresh seafood to clothes, golfing equipment and souvenirs, have gathered along this street, popular among both locals and tourists alike.
Ueno is also home to one of the biggest parks in Tokyo - Ueno Park. In the park, you will find several shrines and temples, tennis courts, food trucks a zoo and several major museums.
In this video, I pass through most of Ameyoko, as well as parts of Ueno Park.
This was filmed on a weekday in November 2018

A slow walk through Akihabara at night - Tokyo Walk - 4K 60FPS
Back again to paradise for all geeks and otaku - It's time for another Akihabara video! This time I'm visiting on a late Saturday evening, just before the shops are about to close for the day.
This time I'm starting at Akihabara Station, before heading down to Chuo-Dori, the main street filled with game centres, anime and manga goods shops.
I pass several of the smaller back streets in the area as well.
As someone requested a video where I walk slower, I tried to take it a bit easier than usual this time. Hopefully, that also helps with the stability of the video, please let me know what you think about the quality in the comments below.

Walking in Tokyo - Sugamo - 4K
Sugamo (巣鴨) is sometimes described as the Harajuku for elderly people. The main shopping street, Jizo Dori, is about 800 meters long and filled with shops catering to the older generation of Japanese.
In this video I start walking at JR Sugamo Station, and continue all the way along Jizo Dori, until I reach Koshinzuka station on the Toden Arakawa streetcar line.
Shot in June 2018 with a Fujifilm X-T20 mounted on a Zhiyun Crane V2. 4K / Ultra HD Resolution.
I hope you like this travel video. Feel free to come with suggestions if there are any other areas of Tokyo you want me to film.
1 Hour Evening Walk in Shinjuku, Tokyo - Fujifilm X-T3 - 4K 60 FPS
Another long walk through one of the most iconic areas of Tokyo. This time me and my camera are exploring the area around Shinjuku Station - The biggest train station in the entire world.
The walk starts near the east exit of Shinjuku station. From there I head north to Kabukicho, the infamous red light district of Tokyo, that is today more akin to your average tourist trap and best avoided. After Kabukicho I head south, passing through the newly developed (and oddly named) NeWoMan shopping mall. Apparently their christmas illuminations was installed this very day, so you'll get a view of those in this video too.
Next, I head to the western part of Shinjuku station, where many of the best camera shops in Tokyo are located. This night is also popular with the local salaryman crowd for evening dinner and drinks. I continue the walk past Omoide Yokocho (aka Piss Alley), the famous drinking alley next to Shinjuku Station. From there I pass under the train tracks and head back to the east side of the station, where this walk ends.
This was filmed with a Fujifilm X-T3 in 4K 60FPS. The lens used is a Samyang 12mm F2, and the camera was mounted on a Zhiyun Crane for stability.
Shot in F-Log and graded in Adobe Premiere CC.

Old Tokyo Meets New Tokyo. Tsukishima & Kachidoki Evening Walk - 4K 60FPS
Tsukishima is a neighborhood located on one of the islands in Tokyo bay. It is famous for it's large number of shops specializing in mojya-yaki local dish that is best described as a watery cousin to okonomiyaki, a pancake-like food that can be filled with pretty much anything from meat to seafood and/or vegetables.
The nearby district of Kachidoki has seen massive development in the last decade, transforming it from a quiet residential area to one of Tokyo's most modern urban landscapes. Today, the large number of high-rise residential buildings, some of which are over 50 stories high, is one of its most striking visual features. Many new shopping and entertainment facilities has also been constructed in the nearby area.
in this video my walk starts at Tsukishima Station. From there, I walk along the Mojya-yaki street, and some of its parallel streets until I reach kachidoki station. From there, I explore some of the newly built waterfront areas - Kachidoki and Harumi.
This was filmed on a weekday in November 2018, with a Fujifilm X-T3 in 4K 60FPS. The lens used is a Laowa 9mm f2.8, and the camera was mounted on a Zhiyun Crane gimbal for stability.
Shot in F-Log and graded in Adobe Premiere CC.

Tokaido Shinkansen Tokyo to Osaka and Kyoto - The Bullet Train!
Tokaido Shinkansen Tokyo to Osaka and Kyoto - The Bullet Train! (CC and Subtitles Available) Travel to Osaka or Kyoto from Tokyo on the Shinkansen Tokaido line. Tokyo to Kyoto takes between 2 to 4 hours on the Tokaido line, depending on whether you take the Nozomi, Hikari, or Kodama Trains. If possible, avoid travel on the Tokaido Shinkansen during Golden Week, Obon, and New Years as many people are traveling between Tokyo and Osaka and Kyoto during these times.
