TOKYO - Japan
Below is our 3 days' itinerary with some travel tips.

The best way to travel in Tokyo is to use the public transport and walk. Tokyo has a very extensive system of transport including metro run by 2 companies - Tokyo Metro and Toei Subway and one rail company (JR). Most signage is available in English. The easiest way to get around is to purchase one of the prepaid transportation IC cards - Suica or Pasmo. These are usable on all lines and they work across Japan. You can purchase them at major station or airports. You can also use them to pay for items in some shops!

Shinjuku
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Shinjuku (新宿区 Shinjuku-ku?, New Lodge) is one of the 23 special wards of Tokyo, Japan. It is a major commercial and administrative centre, housing the busiest train station in the world (Shinjuku Station) and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, the administration centre for the government of Tokyo.
As of 2008, the ward has an estimated population of 312,418 and a population density of 17,140 people per km². The total area is 18.23 km².
History
In 1634, during the Edo period, as the outer moat of the Edo Castle was built, a number of temples and shrines moved to the Yotsuya area on the western edge of Shinjuku. In 1698, Naitō-Shinjuku had developed as a new (shin) station (shuku or juku) on the Kōshū Kaidō, one of the major highways of that era. Naitō was the family name of a daimyo whose mansion stood in the area; his land is now a public park, the Shinjuku Gyoen.
In 1920, the town of Naitō-Shinjuku that comprised large parts of present-day Shinjuku, parts of Nishi-Shinjuku and Kabukichō was integrated into Tokyo City. Shinjuku began to develop into its current form after the Great Kantō earthquake in 1923, since the seismically stable area largely escaped the devastation. Consequently, West Shinjuku is one of the few areas in Tokyo with many skyscrapers.
The Tokyo air raids from May to August 1945 destroyed almost 90% of the buildings in the area in and around Shinjuku Station. The pre-war form of Shinjuku, and the rest of Tokyo, for that matter, was retained after the war because the roads and rails, damaged as they were, remained, and these formed the heart of the Shinjuku in the post-war construction. Only in Kabuki-cho was a grand reconstruction plan put into action.
The present ward was established on March 15, 1947 with the merger of the former wards of Yotsuya, Ushigome, and Yodobashi. It served as part of the athletics 50 km walk and marathon course during the 1964 Summer Olympics.
In 1991, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government moved from the Marunouchi district of Chiyoda to the current building in Shinjuku. (The Tokyo International Forum stands on the former site vacated by the government.)

The thing with Youtube ad-revenue is that it really doesn't make channels money, and the only way smaller channels can earn an income worth the time spent making videos is with lots of low quality content, or sponsored content.
So, I started Patreon to help with the costs of producing these videos. There's a few costs like: travelling around Tokyo, entrance fees and the cost of my time (hundreds of hours scripting, shooting, editing).
A lot of my fellow YouTuber friends are using Patreon so that their audience can support them directly. I would LOVE to make working on this channel my full-time job, so If you feel that my content is worth it then please have a look at my Patreon page and help me grow TheTokyo Drew community.

Tokyo walk - Shin Okubo (新大久保) - 4K
In this video we’ll show you Shin Okubo (新大久保), Tokyo.
Shin Okubo is said to be a Korean town in Tokyo. Located within walking distance from Shinjuku Station, there are plenty of places to enjoy Korean food, Korean cosmetics and photogenic sweets. There are many young people in Japan who love Korean culture, and this place is particularly crowded on weekends. Many people line up in front of the restaurants along the street, and even if you try to walk on the main street, you can't go forward. “Shin-Okubo” is a place where you can feel like Korean while staying in Japan. In recent years, a Korean wave boom has caused many Korean customers to visit every day.

Udon Noodle Eating Spree & Tempura Binge ★ ONLY in JAPAN
UDON!! A hot bowl of noddles in Tokyo always hits the spot on a cold day. Instead of ramen, let's go for UDON, which is both healthier (don't eat too much tempura!) and more fun to eat. In this episode, John travels from Tokyo to Kagawa Prefecture and the Sakuki region for handmade bowls of udon noodles and soup. Let's explore the kitchen, watch them cook and serve like pros -- and of course EAT, EAT and EAT!
What makes UDON better than RAMEN?
★ It's healthier. The soup is not as oily.
★ The noodles are thicker.
★ It's cheaper!
★ Tempura!! Pick your side dishes.
★ It tastes great cold (bukkake udon) perfect for summer.
★ Customize it any way you like in the self-serve style.
How to Make Udon (Sanuki Style):
INGREDIENTS
Wheat Flour / 500g
Salt / 15g
Water / 240cc or 1 cup
(makes 3-4 Servings)
- Mix and knead the dough.
- Make a ball and roll it out and fold it several time.
- Roll it to about a 4mm thickness.
- Cut into strips of the same thinckness. It will expand in water.
- Flour the noodles and add to boiling water then lower heat for 10-15 minutes. Stir the noodles.
- Add dashi (fish stock stock), ginger and negi -- and your favorite tempura! Chikuwa is the most popular.
