Marunouchi Hotel Tokyo Japan - View of Tokyo Station platforms and tracks
Marunouchi Hotel is near Tokyo Station. I stayed a Small Double room and enjoyed great sceneries including trains at the Tokyo Station. Tokyo Station Marunouchi Building can also be seen from my room. This room has a relaxed atmosphere with a curved ceiling and fine furnishings.
This hotel's large windowpanes are cleaned every day. But the guest can't see the View from this hotel clearly because the windowspanes are not completely transparent.
Bluish purple bellflowers are printed here and there in the interior decoration of this hotel. In the past、purple was regarded as the noblest color in both the West and the East. Dokan Ota built Edo Castle, He was a busho (Japanese military commander) at the Muromachi period (the Sengoku Period (period of Warring States)). He was a busho (Japanese military commander) at the end of Muromachi period (the Sengoku Period (Period of Warring States)). His family crest was a bellflower with a circle.
I like to eat in hotel room, I often buy Kakiyasu’s gyumeshi Bento lunch box (made with stewed Japanese black beef and rice)at department store. It’s very delicious.

Japan's White Strawberry: Luxury Fruit Unboxing & Adventure ★ ONLY in JAPAN
I was in the basement supermarket in Shibuya and -- THERE IT WAS! THE WHITE STRAWBERRY!
I could smell it a few meters away. Was it real? (Yes, it was.)
One white strawberry cost 1080 Yen (US$10.00) so I decided to learn more about the Japanese white strawberry and unbox it for you in this video ... and that is what this episode is all about. It's the door into a new world full of strawberries in Japan.
About Japan's White Strawberry:
There are so many varieties / cultivars of strawberries in Japan.
The HATSUKOI NO KAORI or “SCENT OF FIRST LOVE” is Japan's first white strawberry, different than the pineberry because of its size, softer skin and juiciness and sugar content. It was created by Miyoshi Agritech Co. of Yamanashi in 2006.
In the episode, I ate the
SHIROU HOUSEKI 白い宝石 White Strawberry.
Cost: 1080 Yen ($10) for 1.
Weight: about 50 grams
It must be eaten within 24 hours according to the store manager at Tokyu's fruit section at Foodshow. They're grown on in Saga prefecture on Kyushu Island.
Other vareties of What Strawberries include:
★ Yuki Usagi Snow Rabbit 雪うさぎ
★ Sakura ichigo Cherry Blossom Strawberry さくらいちご
★ Tenshi no Mi Fruit of the Angels' 天使の味
Featured White Strawberries
★ Shiroi Houseki White Jewel / White Gem 白い宝石
★ Hatsukoi no Kaori Scent of First Love 初恋の香り
☆ Pineberry / Popular in the UK and Europe but not available in Japan
The strawberry season in Japan is from December to March, winter being the best season because the berry ripens more slowly, building up the sugar content and color over a greater period of time. Temperature control is essential. Almost all of Japan's strawberries are in greenhouses.
I also went to my neighbor's farm in Ichikawa to learn more about strawberries in general. There are about 25,000 strawberry farms in Japan but sometimes your neighbor sells the best ones and is a great source on information. Thank you, Ota-san!
If you ever ask yourself, what is the white strawberry? This is you answer. Try one if you find them while traveling in Japan.

Japan - Diverse delights of a Japanese jewel
T/I: 10:53:39
DIVERSE DELIGHTS OF A JAPANESE JEWEL
Kurashiki, Japan Natural Sound Duration 2.30
It's a Japanese jewel hidden away behind a cluster of around 600 islands in the Seto Island Sea. Facing the sea, 750 kilometres west of Tokyo, the town of Kurashiki has been a major centre for Japan's textile industry since the late 19th century. The buildings in Ivy Square were once a cotton mill and the folkcraft museum occupies a former rice storehouse. Each year, around four and a half million tourists flock to the town to enjoy its scenic beauty. The Ohara
Museum of Art houses work by several masters from all over the world. The skill of glass-blowing is alive and well in the town and the making of papier mache toys continues in the traditional way. Kurashiki is linked to a chain of islands by the Seto Ohashi bridge. It also leads to Shikoku, one of Japan's four main islands. Completed in 1988, the bridge spans a distance of 12.3 kilometres. In the shadow of the Seto Ohashi bridge, the traditional fishing boats of Kurashiki still ply their age-old trade. The sight is a symbol of Japan - old traditions lying side by side with modern technology.

Ultimate Wasabi Guide ★ ONLY in JAPAN 究極のワサビ #28
Let's travel to a valley in the Japanese alps in Nagano to get some organically grown wasabi from the farm! Just how is wasabi grown?
Daio Wasabi Farm is one of Japan's largest and is a great place to find out – and try wasabi cuisine!
There are few produce directly associated with Japan.
Wasabi is one of the most widely known and the flavor is found more and more in snacks because of it's spicy kick.
It's also used in sushi, mixed in the soy sauce.
There is a big different between the processed wasabi found in some restaurants and the fresh kind which is traditionally ground on a shark skin grater and collected. The color and smell. The texture and taste.
Why does fresh wasabi cost so much?
It takes between 12 to 18 month to grow one and there is no telling what size it will be when pulled from the ground.
The wasabi needs to be in the shade and have constant fresh water. The minerals from the melted snows of the Japanese alps surrounding Daio Wasabi Farm are perfect to make the worlds most delicious wasabi.
What else can you do at the wasabi farm?
You can hike around the beautiful area and also grab a bite to eat in the food plaza. They have:
Wasabi beer
Wasabi ice cream
Wasabi burger
Wasabi don
Wasabi juice
Wasabi wine
Wasabi leaf salad
Wasabi croquet
and yes ... just plain wasabi!
This is wasabi heaven!

AMAZING! Old 1974 Mitsubishi Elepet Hydr. El B1-1F@Hotel New Otani***** Garden Tower, Tokyo, Japan
Filmed in January 2016. This is inside one of the most famous hotels in Tokyo, and also one of the most expensive ones - the amazing five-star Hotel new Otani! It has 1479 luxurious hotel rooms in total.
It was constructed during 1962-September 1964, and was requested by the Japanese government in order to fill a perceived shortage of hotel space for foreign visitors to the Olympics.
The hotel is located in Kioicho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, at the site of about 20,000 square meters where there used to be a feudal lord mansion and the old Fushimi Kyutei ruins from ancient times. On April 1st, 1963, Construction was started, by Taisei Corporation.
The 17-floor Main Building has a total floor area of 84411m² and 1085 hotel rooms which were constructed in only one and a half years using a number of techniques that were revolutionary in Japan at the time, such as high-performance curtain walls and prefabricated unit bathrooms. The 400-year-old garden on the site was retained as part of the hotel.
The New Otani was the tallest building in Tokyo from 1964 until 1968, when the Kasumigaseki Building was completed. It took on an iconic status during this period, particularly for its unique revolving restaurant on the highest floor.
The hotel assumed operation of the Akasaka Palace, the Japanese State Guest House, in 1976. The palace and the hotel were the main venues of the 5th G7 summit in 1979, the 12th G7 summit in 1986, and the 19th G7 summit in 1993. The New Otani also hosted the world leaders who attended the funeral of Emperor Hirohito in 1989 and those who attended the enthronement of Emperor Akihito in 1990.
In 1974 after 10 years of operation, on September 1, an additional tower was opened (the current Garden Tower). It has 40 floors (+ 1 basement floor), with a total floor area of 88600m², 394 hotel rooms, and the height is 144.5m.
In 1991 on February 8, the New Otani Garden Court office building was opened, with 30 floors above ground and three underground floors (134,7 meters high), with a total floor area of 74434m².(I didn't go to that building, though).
The original 1964 building was extensively renovated and remodeled in 2007 and is now referred to as The Main.
Along with the Imperial Hotel and Hotel Okura, it is often referred to as one of the three great hotels (御三家 gosanke) of Tokyo. (Source: Wikipedia)
The world-famous Swedish pop music group, ABBA, also stayed in this hotel (they probably stayed in the then-newly built Garden Tower) on their Tours in Japan in 1978 and March 1980, respectively.
Inside the Hotel New Otani*****, there are 17 passenger elevators - which are arranged in the following way:
Main Building completed in 1964 (17 floors high) - 7x Hitachi and Mitsubishi Elepet from 1964 (modernized in the 1980s or 90s and again in 2015, still with touch-buttons) serving floors B1-17 (one or two are express elevators serving floors B1, 1, 2, 16 and 17) -
Here's a video from before they were modernized in 2015 (by a Japanese user):
Garden Tower completed in 1974 (40 floors high) with 10 passenger elevators:

Welcome to Kazan, Russia (2018 vlog | каза́нь)
Welcome to Kazan, Russia! Kazan (or каза́нь ????) is a very important city and the capital of Tatarstan, Russia. In this vlog, you will see my first day and first impressions immediately upon arriving in Kazan. I spent most of the day at the Kremlin Embankment and quickly visited the area around the Kazan Family Center, across the Kazanka river.

Yes!! The Lotus are already in Full Bloom but get here at 6 AM to actually see them open!! The flowers are only open in full splendor from 6-8 AM!! But it is the largest Lotus garden in TOKYO and a must see!!
I love the Lotus because although growing from mud, it is unstained says Confucian wisdom! Holy flower for Buddhists & Hindu, today I came to the infamous UENO TOKYO Shinobazu Pond full of LOTUS in bloom NOW! Amazingly, 1300 years old seeds found in a dry lakebed in North China sprouted, so it can preserve itself over extreme long periods!! Other fun fact, not only beautiful but Lotus is all edible! Flower petals for tea or decoration in food, Roots can be pickled or boiled and parts of many dishes in Asian cuisine, or fried like potato chips, the Leaves are used to wrap food in them. The Seeds can be popped like popcorn! Or boiled soft and made into paste with sugar and used as filling in cakes! A rarity only available at the infamous Lake Inle in Myanmar, the lotus plant fiber is woven to produce robes for Buddhist statues ! Lotus buds are so cute too!!
Flying waitress, Parkview Square, Singapore
The Parkview bar in the lobby of the building has a unique 3-storey high wine chiller.
The waitress sits in a harness which is connected to a pulley system. The pulley is controlled by a switch that moves the pulley both up and down, left and right. Once in position, the waitress can then open a cabinet and extract a bottle of wine.
I don't mind if they pour us water. I order a bottle for the spectacle.
Parkview Square lobby is also designed mainly in the Art Deco style and features a 15m-high ceiling with hand-crafted details.
It's always empty. There are more floor staff than patrons. Quiet.
