Trnòvo je ožja enota Mestne občine Ljubljana ob levem bregu Ljubljanice.
V Trnovem je živel arhitekt Jože Plečnik, znan po svojih načrtih Tromostovja, ljubljanske tržnice in ljubljanskih Žal. Trnovo je znano še po Trnovski cerkvi, kjer je pesnik France Prešeren prvič srečal Julijo Primic, ki ji je posvetil Sonetni venec. Ob pročelju Trnovske cerkve je most čez potok Gradaščica, eden redkih v Evropi, na katerem raste drevje.
Trnovsko predmestje je bilo dolgo znano po nizki gradnji in hišah z velikimi zelenjavnimi vrtovi, ki so oskrbovali ljubljansko tržnico. Po tem predelu se imenuje tudi vrsta solate trnovska ledenka, ki je danes že skoraj izumrla.
Ko se je mestna infrastruktura začela pomikati proti Trnovemu, so v 70-ih letih 20. stoletja izginile še zadnje kmetije in odrejena je bila prepoved gojenja rejnih živali. Takrat so zaprli zadnji hlev z govedom. Število branjevk, ki ob Ljubljanici z ročnimi vozički dovažajo zelenjavo na ljubljansko tržnico, vsako leto upada.
Najbolj slikovita in obiskana je Eipprova ulica ob potoku Gradaščica, kjer je zasajen drevored starih kostanjev in se nahaja več gostinskih lokalov. (Wikipedia)

Navje Memorial Park (Slovene: Spominski park Navje), the redesigned part of the former St. Christopher's Cemetery (pokopališče pri sv. Krištofu), is a memorial park in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. It is located in the Bežigrad district, just behind the Ljubljana railway station.
St. Christopher's Cemetery was located in the area of today's Exhibition and Convention Centre. Between the late 18th century and the early 20th century, it was the central town cemetery. In 1906, a new cemetery was established next to Holy Cross Church and most new burials gradually took place there. After 1926, burials no longer took place at St. Christopher's Cemetery, and it was destroyed in 1955 together with the two churches associated with it in order to create a fairground for the 7th Congress of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia.
In the 1930s, a small portion of the old cemetery, including the arcade porch that was built around 1865, was transformed in a pantheon of famous Slovenes. The memorial park was designed by the architects Jože Plečnik and Ivo Spinčič in collaboration with the gardener Anton Lah. Already in 1932, Plečnik had proposed building a monumental church on the same site, which would include a crypt with tombs of prominent Slovenes. The project, planned together with his student Edvard Ravnikar, was however rejected, and so Plečnik proposed the creation of Navje Memorial Park.
Between 1936 and 1940 several gravestones and tombstones of notable personalities were moved into the park, but because of the Axis invasion of Yugoslavia in April 1941 the project was never completed. Many of the gravestones planned to be moved into Navje Memorial Park, such as those of Prešeren, Trubar, Maister, and Rusjan, were not brought in, and many graves of unimportant individuals, planned to be moved to Žale, have remained in the park. Plečnik's plans to enlarge the park were never carried out. After World War II, the park was largely neglected and renovation took place only in the 1990s.

Oggi 27 Giugno 2010 siamo andati tutti e tre vicino casa nostra in Slovenia in un posto magico,
per il figlio peloso con coda che si chiama Chopper è stata una giornata indimenticabile (memoria canina permettendo) per me e Antonella pure perché ci siamo divertiti in una bella passeggiata tra boschi fantastici di Faggio e silenzi assoluti.
Credo che siamo molto fortunati ad avere un posto così vicino da casa nostra .....

Loqua (in sloveno Lokve, in tedesco Loqua è un paese della Slovenia, frazione del comune di Nuova Gorizia.
La località , che si trova a 928.6 metri s.l.m. ed a 11.9 kilometri dal confine italiano, è situata a nord della Selva di Tarnova (Trnovski godz) e a sud del vallone di Chiapovano (Čepovanski dol).
Durante il dominio asburgico Loqua fu comune autonomo.
Oltre ad essere un piccolo centro sciistico, va menzionata la Grande grotta del ghiaccio Paradana (Velika ledena jama v Paradani) a sud-est dell'insediamento, caratterizzata al suo interno dal ghiaccio perenne. La chiesa del paese è dedicata a Sant'Antonio da Padova (Sv. Antona Padovanskega).
Nella località nacque Leon Rupnik, famoso anche per aver dato il nome alla Linea Rupnik.

for the child with hairy tail which is called Chopper was an unforgettable day (canine memory permitting) and Antonella for me as well because we had a fantastic walk through woods of beech and absolute silence.

Loquendo (in Slovene Lokve German Loquendo a country of Slovenia, the hamlet of New Gorizia.
The resort, which is 928.6 meters s.l.m. and 11.9 kilometers from the Italian border, is located north of the Forest Tarnova (Trnovski Godz) and south of the valley Chiapovano (Čepovanski dol).
During the Habsburg rule loqu was an independent municipality.
Besides being a small ski resort, should be mentioned the great ice pit Paradana (leden Velika jama Paradani v) south-east of the settlement, characterized by the perennial ice in it. The village church is dedicated to Anthony of Padua (Sv Antona Padovanskega).
Leon Rupnik was born in the town, also famous for giving its name to the Rupnik Line.

SLOVENIA - Lubiana - In giro per la città - di Sergio Colombini
Lubiana Capitale della Repubblica Slovena fin dall'indipendenza del 1991, e' adagiata sul fiume Ljubljanica, è considerata il cuore culturale, scientifico, economico, politico e amministrativo della Slovenia. Il giro a piedi nel centro storico ci permette di vedere i monumenti più importanti della città:
Piazza Prešeren con la chiesa francescana dell'Anninciazione, il monumento di France Prešeren e il Triplo ponte (Tromostovje).
Il Ponte dei Calzolai, Piazza Mestni Trg con la fontana ispirata a Piazza Navona a Roma e la Cattedrale di San Nicola (Stolnica svetega Nikolaja) facilmente identificabile nella città con la sua cupola verde e le due torri.
Da vedere anche il nuovo ponte del Diavolo con i marciapiedi in vetro e tanti lucchetti lasciati dagli innamorati.
Non può mancare la visita al ponte dei Draghi (Zmajski most), che venne costruito tra il 1900 e il 1901, quando la città apparteneva ancora all'Impero Austro-Ungarico.
Arroccato in cima alla collina è facilmente raggiungibile con la funicolare il castello di Lubiana (Ljubljanski grad) in stile medievale completamente ristrutturato nella forma attuale nel 1960.

Ljubljana (Slovene: [ljuˈbljàːna] (listen), locally also [luˈblàːna]; also known by other, historical names) is the capital and largest city of Slovenia. It has been the cultural, educational, economic, political, and administrative centre of independent Slovenia since 1991.
During antiquity, a Roman city called Emona stood in the area. Ljubljana itself was first mentioned in the first half of the 12th century. Situated at the middle of a trade route between the northern Adriatic Sea and the Danube region, it was the historical capital of Carniola, one of the Slovene-inhabited parts of the Habsburg Monarchy. It was under Habsburg rule from the Middle Ages until the dissolution of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in 1918. After World War II, Ljubljana became the capital of the Socialist Republic of Slovenia, part of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. It retained this status until Slovenia became independent in 1991 and Ljubljana became the capital of the newly formed state.
