Nagoya - TOKYO by Bus (Willer Express) + SLEEPING POD Day 1 & CoCo Curry [Tokyo Vlog]
***Japan With Me - Episode 23 (Stream at 1080p for BETTER-QUALITY video)*** I'm so excited to share this with you guys, my tokyo vlog! This is the first episode of Tokyo Vlog. So, we decided to go by bus rather than the Shinkansen. Honestly if you have the time, I highly suggest this method of traveling. It saves so much money than the train. However, it takes so much time to travel from Nagoya to Tokyo, vice versa. It costed me 4,900 yen from Nagoya to Tokyo and 3,200 yen back (cuz we booked early for the return ticket). Most people would buy the night shift one cuz they can sleep on the bus rather renting a room. Anyway, Willer Express is one of the bus services you could use. Their services are good and one of the cheapest ones as well. I would recommend it but do check out and compare to other brands as well.BTW, you have to book online for the ticket and pay the fee at the convenience store if you have cash. It took us around 6 hrs to get to Shinjuku South station but the ride was comfortable so it was fine. We got to see the scenery along the way. We then went straight to see my friend. Thank you Thearoth for showing us around. For dinner, we had CoCo curry, one of the most famous Japanese curry food chains. It was quite good but rather expensive, I guess. We had the chance to customise your meal if you wanted to. We ordered and ate a lot. I quite enjoyed it actually. That was my first time eating the Japanese curry rice. I had the curry soup in Hokkaido and that was amazing. To finish off the night, I went to my capsule hotel which is on the other side of the city....silly me. That was one of the cheap ones I could find at the time. Anyway, that was a good choice. I spent 2,000 yen a night at the sleeping pod. However if you book via booking.com or other online services, you might get further discount. Wanna see more of the my first experience at the Japanese capsule hotel, check out my sleep diary I reviewed all the nights I stayed there. It was good, tbh. The services, the room and location were all nice. One thing I like to compliant though, it is probably for all other capsule hotels as well is the surrounding environment, Since you have to share the hall with others and your personal space is only the small, you can easily get an interrupted sleep from the people coming in and out. Stay tuned for next episode tomorrow. Thank you very much once again for watching. SHINJUKU Shopping - Louis Vuitton Bag + Komehyo & Bus (WILLER EXPRESS) Back From Tokyo To Nagoya
***Japan With Me - Episode 31 (Stream at 1080p for BETTER-QUALITY video)*** HELLO! Happy New Year and welcome back to my last episode of my TOKYO VLOG! Today we are taking the bus (WILLER EXPRESS) back from Shinjuku South Bus Station to Nagoya Station. It was a bit sad to leave Tokyo, I had such a great time here especially I got to reunite with some of my old friends from Cambodia. Wish I could be here a little bit longer but 5 days was kinda enough. Save it for the next time :) One of my main goals coming to Japan is to shop some luxury items and today I achieved it. My mom needed a new bag so she was like Get me a bag, PLZ! Luckily we found this gorgeous vintage Louis Vuitton Damier Ebene Sarria Mini bag which my sister picked out. It was graded A. Inside and outside was nearly perfect. My sister was so pumped to find this treasure! It costed around 65,000 yen tax-free. Unfortunately we couldn't film much in there. After that, we spent like 2 more hours just looking around Shinjuku shopping area! There are so many vintage and new luxury shops! You need to spend like a full day to go around the area! Anyway, it was nearly time to go back to Nagoya. We were lost cuz the bus and train station was just massive to navigate! At the end, we found it! Thanks GOD! This time we arrived at Nagoya 20 minutes early which is good. By the time we got home, it was like 11 PM or midnight! Thank you very much once again for watching. Better than the bullet train - How to travel Japan on a budget
This is my faaaaavorite way to travel around Japan and I think they deserve more people that use them. I'm not sponsored or affiliated with Willer Express but I've caught 10+ night buses with them and I love it. Just please don't go with the cheapest option cuz it wasn't a fun ride hahahahaha I'll never get that night's sleep back.

Osaka to Tokyo by Bus | Japan Travel Vlog
In this travel vlog we go from Osaka to Tokyo by bus. After researching our options (bullet trains, slower trains, planes?) we found that the cheapest option was to take the bus.
We booked tickets from Osaka to Tokyo with Willer Express. They had multiple departures per day, with the option to take either a day bus or an overnight bus. We opted for the day bus and it was an 8+ hour bus journey.
The tickets were ¥5400 per person and it was a comfortable enough ride. The seats were slender, but there were charging outlets, free WiFi, and these funny little head covers that you could lower for privacy. The bus also made frequent stops so that passengers could stretch their legs, buy food, and use the restrooms.
So overall, it was a pretty good trip! We got to enjoy some of the scenery from Osaka to Tokyo, and it was a budget-friendly way to travel!

Osaka to Tokyo by Bus | Japan Travel Vlog Transcript:
Good morning. Today the travels in Japan continue. We're leaving Osaka behind. So we're saying goodbye apartment. You've been great. Yes, it has been a great apartment. And we are going to be traveling to Tokyo by bus. Yes. So we are going to show you the budget friendly option because the bullet train was not cheap. And the other trains were not cheap. Yeah and we booked it last minute yes so the bus was probably a third of the price of the train. Yes. Literally. It really was.
Literally. So yeah let's go. We've got a metro to catch and then a bus. We'll show you the journey.
Now the fun part going down with all of our luggage.
When I said we were here bright and early I was not kidding. What train are we catching?
The 533. It is the first metro of the day and we are here waiting for it. I think we're the only people around here. Wow. A moment of zen in a Japanese metro station.
Update. We are now transferring to the red line to Midosuji. Let's continue.
We made it to the bus terminal. What is this right here? So apparently these are sample seats. Sample seats. The ones on the bus should be just like that.
So let's test them out. Alright try them out.
And there is the little something something behind your head. If you want privacy. Privacy. From you? Hahaha. No from sunlight. Anyways these are comfortable. I have a feeling I'm going to be catching up on some sleep because we woke up at like what four something this morning. Yeah. It was early. Tired.
So I hiked over to the 7-11 and grabbed us a little breakfast. Breakfast. Want to show us what I got?
We have bananas. Bananas. We have a chicken avocado sandwich to share. This is bread. Japanese style I think it is sweet bread. And we get one little each. Like pineapple cake?
Hello time for an update. We made it to our first stop. Yeah. We've been driving for an hour. Now we get a 20 minute break.
The stuffed pancake? I think I'm like I've always really liked red bean paste but I think I'm growing even more fonder of it now that we're in Japan.
It is 12:30 this is what our 3rd stop. Yes. Wow. This trip has gone really fast. And it has been a lot more scenic than I expected. Yeah. Like I'm not sure why I didn't expect it to be that scenic. Mountains. It has been gorgeous. Forest going through these quaint little towns. We've also gone through cities. Yeah. It has been an incredible journey. We've had nice weather. And these stops have been really cool. Like these I don't know what you would call them. These rest stops. Yes. Are massive. And there is just so many things you can eat and snack on. And each time we were given like 20 or 30 minutes yes so I think we're going to grab another little snack.
This is part of our Travel in Japan video series showcasing Japanese food, Japanese culture and Japanese cuisine.

Chasing a Plate travels from Tokyo to Hiroshima. Find out how to travel Japan for cheap in this video. Prior to arriving in Japan we bought a 3 trip Willer Express Bus Pass for 10,000 yen/ $100USD. This allowed us 3 separate bus trips all over Japan (with some conditions like only travelling Monday to Thursday, although you could pay a bit more to get a pass which allowed travel over the weekend).
The Willer Express bus from Tokyo to Hiroshima took 13 hours but it was so comfortable. Regular stops for bathroom breaks at service stops which had amazingly clean bathrooms, vending machines and often Starbucks and convenience stores if you wanted to buy food, comfortable seats, a hood for privacy when sleeping. It was a great bus trip and highly recommended if you want to save some cash whilst traveling around Japan.
After arriving in Hiroshima we decide to continue the how to travel Japan for cheap by eating only at convenience stores that day. Convenience store eating Japan is EPIC. The stores offer so much variety. We each spend about $12 for breakfast, lunch and dinner!!
We hope we've inspired you to eat and explore like a traveler, not a tourist. Subscribe to our food and travel channel for more Japan travel videos!

Night Capsule Bus From Sendai to Tokyo | Willer Express

Japan Night Bus + Street Performer from Shinjuku | Tokyo to Osaka | LEJIN TV
Let us show you the “center” of the transportation in Tokyo, Japan.. SHINJUKU! Shinjuku is where we encountered the biggest crowd during our stay in Tokyo. Japanese people don’t usually use private cars, they use bicycles, bus, trains or basically, they just walk. So here, you will see train exits and train companies with the same station name. If it’s your first time, you will really get lost. All the transportation means are here, like the train stations and the main bus stations.
We boarded the night bus going to Osaka from the Shinjuku bus station. This is the cheapest way if you want to go to Osaka from Tokyo. We originally booked ahead of time to avail promo but our booking was cancelled because they said it’s already fully booked. We don’t have any other choice but to book another one.. so we booked it in one of their bus company under regular price. :(
Stay tuned as another adventure begins in Osaka!
