[4K] Malaga, Costa Del Sol (2019) City Walking Tour (with captions)
We'd love to hear your comments and views of the City in the comments section below.
Join us for this virtual city walk through Malaga on the Costa Del Sol. We begin our 4k walking tour facing the 16th Century baroque cathedral, Catedral de la Encarnación de Málaga.
We enter Plaza Del Obispo (Bishop's Square) to see the beautifully coloured Palacio Episcopal and the well placed restaurants and bars. We leave the square and turn up Calle Sta. María with Malaga Cathedral still on our right. We stop to explore its grounds before continuing along Calle San Agustín. Cafes and bars of all kinds line this street, being the location of the Picasso Museum (Picasso Museum Málaga.)
We visit El Pimpi, perhaps Malaga's most famous bodega bar and exit onto Calle Alcazabilla. It is here that we encounter the magnificent Roman Amphitheatre (Teatro Romano) with the Alcazaba, a hilltop medieval fortress standing high above.

MÁLAGA WALK along City Centre Main Shopping Streets | Spain
A first-person perspective Málaga walk tour of the Málaga City Centre main shopping streets.
See all the sights as Watched Walker (yes, I’m talking about myself in the third person) takes us on a walking tour through the streets of Málaga, featuring the major shopping streets of Málaga City Centre. The tour begins on the canopied, pedestrianised shopping street Calle Marqués de Larios, next travels north to the Plaza de la Constitución (Constitution Square), then along Calle Granada where the tour concludes.
Sights seen along the tour include 'Points of View' sculpture by Tony Cragg, Málaga Cathedral, Sebastiâo Salgado’s ‘Génesis’ photography exhibition, Fuente de Génova (Fountain of Genoa), and the ‘Panta Rei’ (Everything Flows) sculpture by Blanca Munoz.
And in each video I've hidden a blinking eye, can you spot it? (It could appear more than once). In addition to the blinking eye, I've also added the Watched Walker logo to various scenes–it could be on buildings, vehicles or any other objects, so keep an eye out for it too!
Footage recorded July 2017.

[4K] MALAGA PORT (2019) NIGHT WALKING TOUR - Cafes, bars and nightlife
The port of Málaga comes alive at night in 4k in this virtual tour of the harbour and it's nightlife at the end of the 2019 Carnival weekend.
We begin near the Lighthouse (La Farola De Málaga or The Lamp of Málaga.) We follow the lines of bustling cafes, bars and restaurants along the Paseo del Muelle Uno, with the sinking sun to our left. The majestic Trasmediterránea Málaga to Melilla ferry sits at harbour all lit up, with the Ferris Wheel, Mirador Princess visible behind.
Most of the store stay open late, so early evening is a great time to do a bit of Malaga night shopping or simply enjoy the best of Malaga city nightlife.
We pass the Chapel of the port of Malaga before heading to the Centre Pompidou Málaga - a distinctive mutlicoloured cube that houses the famous contemporary art museum.
We visit the open art gallery to the side, with it's cool and trendy bar (and good place to hire bikes - QQ Bikes or try a Segway.)
From here, we walk beneath the majestic Pérgola Zigzagueante Muelle Uno before catching a pair of tango dancers entertaining the passers by.
This concludes our slow TV city walk.

【4K】Málaga Walking Tour 2019 Part 1– Travel Guide Spain – Du lịch Tây Ban Nha
filmed in Málaga, Spain
1st May 2019
Málaga has shaken off its reputation as being merely the gateway to the Costa del Sol. Revamped and revitalised, the city now boasts a sleek port, an exciting culinary scene and a rapidly growing clutch of artistic attractions. In fact, it’s quickly becoming recognised as one of Spain’s cultural hubs, bursting at the seams with places to explore from the attention-grabbing Pompidou Centre and ever-popular Museu de Picasso – which celebrates Málaga’s most famous son – to the street-art-cloaked streets of its edgy Soho district.
But it’s not all new. This is one of the oldest cities in Spain and hallmarks of its rich past are scattered across Málaga: the cobbled streets of the old quarter, its mountainside Roman Amphitheatre, the Moorish citadels of the Alcazaba and Gilfarbaro. And even once the sight-seeing is done, there’s still a city full of rooftop bars, gleaming boutique stores and nearby beaches to explore.

MÁLAGA CITY (2018) COSTA DEL SOL- Nightlife, Bars & Restaurants
We start this Malaga City walking tour by Catedral de la Encarnación de Málaga (Malaga Cathedral.) Lit up at night, this is high on the Malaga top ten things to see.
As we turn down Calle Santa Maria, we encounter some of the Malaga City restaurants and shops before arriving at Constitution Square, (Plaza de la Constitución.) A canopy of lights covers the Calle Marqués de Larios as it leads down towards the seafront - offering a chance for a bit of Malaga night shopping.
We however, take a wander through the small sides, passing some of the many Malaga City bars - experiencing Malaga's nightlife as we head towards the many bars and cafes on Plaza de la Merced.

Málaga is a municipality, capital of the Province of Málaga, in the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, Spain. With a population of 571,026 in 2018, it is the second-most populous city of Andalusia and the sixth-largest in Spain. It lies on the Costa del Sol (Coast of the Sun) of the Mediterranean, about 100 kilometres (62.14 miles) east of the Strait of Gibraltar and about 130 km (80.78 mi) north of Africa.
Málaga's history spans about 2,800 years, making it one of the oldest cities in Europe and one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Málaga was founded about 770 BC by the Phoenicians as Malaka. From the 6th century BC the city was under the hegemony of Ancient Carthage, and from 218 BC, it was ruled by the Roman Republic and then empire as Malaca (Latin). After the fall of the empire and the end of Visigothic rule, it was under Islamic rule as Mālaqah (Arabic: مالقة) for 800 years, but in 1487, the Crown of Castille gained control after the Reconquista. The archaeological remains and monuments from the Phoenician, Roman, Arabic and Christian eras make the historic center of the city an open museum, displaying its history of nearly 3,000 years. o is showing Malaga walking tour city centre main street shops, market Costa del Sol Spain.

Free Walking Tour of Historical Málaga | Málaga, Spain
We went on a free walking tour in Málaga and for the first time, we went on separate tours so that I could practice my Spanish. It was fun to see the differences in the two tours and we both came away with quite a lot more knowledge on the Muslim-Christian conflict and how it affected Málaga. We hung out at the Plaza de la Constitución, Rob had a chuckle at El Pimpi, Nicole marvelled at the ruins of the Roman Theatre, and we both climbed up to the old Muslim fortress of Alcazaba before we topped off the day in the sun with some good Spanish food.
Next vlog we're heading off on a day trip to another country!
