Arrived last evening in Walsingham in Norwich county north of England. We slept until noon then I ran. This quaint red-tiled roof village is quiet and friendly. Called Little Walsingham. In 1061 a noblewoman received a message from the Blesses Virgin Mary to build a house, a replica of her house in Nazareth.
I ran thru the narrow lanes with cars on the wrong side of the road to the Slipper Chapel and to the hillside covered with tents. This is where I will speak five times this week at the New Dawn Catholic Conference.

While staying at Wells Next The Sea, I took the train to Walisingham to the visit the Abbey. I had already seen the two Marian shrines, the catholic Our Lady of Walisingham, the Slipper chapel of the 15th century Abbey were the pilgrimes left ther shoes to walk the las mile bare foot. I had also seen the very large Anglican shrine with its shrines with in a shrine. but the Abbey was closed i wanted to have a look at the the few standing remaines. after looking at the museum i cme out into the grounds there was a few people about and a tent on the site of Holy House, that Richeidis de Faverches had built after seeing a vision of the Virgin Mary in 1061. When i came back from walking round the grounds i found a full blown pilgrimage going on. later i found out it was a group known as New Dawn. On the way back to the train i Stoped at the old Railway Sation, which was convertied in the 1960s into a Orthodox church, Saint Seraphim a Russian saint, the chapel was peaceful. The
Wells and Walsingham railway runs on narrow10 -1/2 inch gauge rails its a bit bumpy but a nice trip.

Attleborough is a market town and civil parish between Norwich and Thetford in Norfolk, England. The parish is in the district of Breckland and has an area of 21.9 square kilometres. Attleborough is in the Mid-Norfolk constituency of the UK Parliament, represented since the 2010 general election by the Conservative MP George Freeman. Attleborough railway station provides a main line rail service to both Norwich and Cambridge.
Following Henry the VIII's Dissolution of the Monasteries the building was virtually destroyed by Robert Radcliffe, Lord Fitz Walter, Earl of Sussex, and material from the building was used for making up the road between Attleborough and Buckenham. However, this left Attleborough Church with a tower at the east end.
The arrival of the prisoners aroused a great deal of public interest, and eventually traders set up a fair whenever they came. This became known as Attleborough Rogues Fair and was held on the market place on the last Thursday in March. Also on the market place festivities took place on Midsummer Day, when the annual guild was held. It appears that there has been the right to hold a weekly Thursday market in the town since 1285. A weekly market is still held and has recently (in 2004) returned to Queen's Square where it is presumed the market was originally held.
The first turnpike road in England is reputed to have been created here at the end of the 17th century, Acts of Parliament were passed in 1696 and 1709, For the repairing of the highway between Wymondham and Attleborough, in the County of Norfolk, and for including therein the road from Wymondham to Hethersett.
Structurally the town changed little during the 1950s and there were no great leaps in population growth, other than the arrival of the notorious London gangsters, the Kray twins, who took over a local hostelry. The '60s were different, the overspill programme and new town development brought new families into south Norfolk. Attleborough had to make decisions for the future and new development zones were designated.
The first estate programme began with the building of the council-owned Cyprus Estate which has since been complemented by other private housing schemes such as Fairfields and Ollands built mainly in the 1970s and a large estate on the south side of the town in the 1990s. The traditional traffic route along the A11 trunk road became a bottleneck as it ran both ways along High Street and Church Street, thus in the 1970s a one-way system was opened channelling traffic around the natural ring road surrounding the church. The volume of traffic continued to increase making that change obsolete so the Attleborough bypass was opened in 1984. The bypass was widened and completed in 2007 removing the only single lane section of the A11 between Thetford and Norwich.

Old Hunstanton and Hunstanton are an adjoining town and village on the North Norfolk coast. Known for being one of the few (or only) places on the east coast in England where the sun can be seen to set over the sea, the two places combine ancient heritage with traditional English seaside resort thrills.
Between the epic expanse of sand of the world-renowned Holkham Beach and the precious bird sanctuary of Blakeney Point, lies the harbour town of Wells-next-the-Sea.
Named (and recognised in the Domesday Book) for the fresh springs that once percolated up through the glacial chalk of this stretch of coast, the town is actually a mile inland nestling behind a stalwart bank of pines and an expanse of saltmarsh reclaimed for agriculture by the Holkham Estate in the 1800s. A narrow-gauge railway runs from the town to the beach, with its lively array of stilted beach huts, and visitor car park.
The harbour at Wells is overlooked by an imposing granary (dating from 1904), with its gantry stretching across the street to the quay. From the harbour, narrow lanes with chic shops, eateries and art galleries lead towards the Buttlands, a large town green surrounded by majestic lime trees and elegant Georgian houses, whose name suggests it may have been used for archery practice in the Middle Ages.
Early in the 19th Century, the town of Wells was officially renamed Wells-next-the-Sea to distinguish it from other Wellses - a name that had to be re-adopted in 1956, because it had become known more by the name on the signs at the railway station: Wells-on-Sea.
Another narrow-gauge railway, the Wells and Walsingham Light Railway, uses part of the old Norwich line track bed on its way to the picturesque shrine village of Walsingham.
This part of North Norfolk forms part of the largest coastal nature reserve in England and Wales, and Wells-next-the-Sea - and indeed the whole of the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - is a haven for twitchers. Bitterns and terns, oyster catchers, avocets and marsh harriers are among the species which make this part of North Norfolk a prime site for birdwatching.
Just a few miles along the coast is the Palladian seat of the Earls of Leicester, Holkham Hall, with its 3000-acre deer park and Bygones Museum.

Hello, and welcome to another in our series of dating venue videos, brought to you by Love Services, providing online dating since 2005.
Whilst you may have taken some considerable time browsing through personal profiles to reach this point, where you actually decide to meet, and spend the date is the next decision to make. This is the case for people all over the world, but in this video we'll try and present Truronians with some suggestions within their very own city.
The southern-most British and Cornish city of Truro may not exactly be sprawling metropolis (with a population of just over 19,000 inhabitants), but nevertheless, as it is the administrative headquarters for Cornwall, there are actually many places to consider for a date. This is a very popular tourist destination, too, and this means there there's a little more scope in a city with a relatively low population.
West of Bath, the city of Truro is said to have the best examples of Georgian architecture. The best parts of the city in which to see these historic buildings are around Lemon Street, and Walsingham Place, which conveniently enough, is where you'll find many of the best suggestions for places to meet. This is the area of the city that attracts most of the tourists, and where you will find some of the most exclusive and highly-rated bars and restaurants.
When it comes to restaurants, Truro doesn't disappoint. If you haven’t eaten out in the city for a while, you may forgotten just what there is on offer. The eateries that appear to be ticking all the right boxes now include; The Falmouth Arms, Tabb’s Restaurant, The Wig and Pen, The Victory Inn, The Kathmandu Palace, and The Cornish Vegan. The 108 Coffee House is said to be the very best location in the whole of the area in which to grab that perfect cup of steaming hot coffee. There are many more restaurants in the Truro area, but the ones mentioned are some of the most popular. If the two of you do come from the same city, it can be reassuring to meet at a well-known local landmark.
This allows you to rediscover the history and culture of your home town, and in Truro, the attractions that might prove suitable include; Truro Cathedral and The Royal Cornwall Museum. Having met, had a drink, and a bite to eat there are plenty of shops to stroll by as you walk off that lunch. There's a lot to take in, so there will be plenty of things that will spark off conversation.
Truro has its share of public green areas, which are a welcome break from the city streets. Three such suggestions for you here are; Boscawen Park, Daubuz Moors, and The Victoria Gardens.
This historic Georgian city punches well above its weight when it comes to the sheer number of possible venues for your next date. From intimate restaurants, to popular tourist attractions, you shouldn’t have a problem identifying the best place for you both. Thanks for watching.
