Enjoy more historical sites along the Royal Route. Visit St Johns Cathedral and St Anne’s Church, whose interior miraculously survived the war. One of the few statues not destroyed by the German army is the mermaid Syrena, the symbol and protector of Warsaw.
Keep apace of the city’s stories at the many museums here. Visit the Palace of Culture and Science and the Copernicus Science Centre. Don’t miss Wilanow Palace, with luxurious artworks and formal gardens.
Since the fall of the Iron Curtain, Poland’s economy has boomed, reflected in the luxury malls, such as Zlote Tarasy and the VITKAC Department store.

Warsaw’s Old Town is the finest and most picturesque part of the city. It was built during the 12th to 13th century and is surrounded by 14th century fortification walls. It played a major role in Poland’s history and cultural life since the beginning of its existence, and continues to do so even today. Visit Old Town to see the most beautiful houses and palaces in the city, dine at the market square, or check out the most inspiring museums Warsaw has to offer.
During the second world war old town was completely destroyed but later they rebuilt the destroyed part after the war.

25 Things to do in Warsaw, Poland | Top Attractions Travel Guide
This was our first trip to Poland and we dove into the capital headfirst. While our travels may have started in the charming Old Town, it wasn't long before we discovered that Warsaw has a cool artsy side. We visited bright neon museums in the art district, shopped in boutiques selling soviet-chic apparel, and got to experience the capital's legendary nightlife. It many ways it was a whirlwind visit, but it was also a fun introduction that made us curious to discover more of Poland in our future travels. The following video will highlight 25 things to do in Warsaw and give you a glimpse into this up and coming capital.

25 Things to do in Warsaw, Poland | Top Attractions Tourism Guide Video Transcript:
Well hello and welcome to Warszawa. This week we are exploring the Polish capital. We've already been here a few days and it has been amazing. It has been such a pleasant surprise and unlike any part of Europe we've traveled in so far. So yeah, this week we're going to be highlighting 25 things to do around the city and we're excited to show you what it is all about.
We came to Warsaw with little to no expectations and the city completely surprised us. Our week in the capital was spent sampling Polish cuisine, learning about the city's past through museums and historical tours, and also dabbling in a bit of the nightlife. Warsaw is quickly rising through the ranks and we think it won't be long before travellers are flocking en masse. So if you're planning a trip to Poland, don't skip over the capital because there is more to Warsaw than meets the eye.
This is part of our Travel in Poland series. We're making a series of videos showcasing Polish culture, Polish arts, Polish foods, Polish religion, Polish cuisine and Polish people.

10 Top Tourist Attractions in Warsaw
Over the centuries, Warsaw has been plundered and invaded many times by forces from Sweden and France to Russia. It suffered heavy damage from German bombs in World War II. Yet, Warsaw today is a new, vibrant city that has been largely restored to its pre-World War II. Among the tourist attractions in Warsaw, Old Town, with its palace, churches and castles, is not to be missed. Visitors also will want to take advantage of the city’s impressive cultural activities. Here’s a look at the top tourist attractions in Warsaw:
First Time in Poland | 48 Hours in Warsaw
Welcome to Poland everybody! This is our first experience here in this country and we are going to spend 48 hours in Warsaw to kick off this series.
After a few delays we finally arrived in Warsaw, so we checked into our hotel and headed out to the old town to get some Polish dumplings and traditional polish potatoe pancakes to end our first night.
The next day we headed out into the old town and saw
- Old Town Square
- Warsaw Castle
- University Campus of Warsaw library viewpoint
We then went up the bell tower in castle square which is a great view point to see the city. For lunch we headed out to the Koszyki Covered Market.
In the afternoon we headed out to The largest park in Warsaw Lazienki Krolewskie and went on a little water gondola ride.
To end our time in Warsaw we went out to the Nocny markets.

Warsaw, Poland - Traveling tour, sightseeing and landmarks
Visit to see my video blog where I tour the beautiful country of Poland. I will be traveling from Warsaw, Poland to Gdansk and everywhere in between. In my video here I just tour some landmarks in downtown Warsaw, Poland. So many places to see and visit.
Warsaw Travel Guide
I have always been fascinated by Poland's resilience. A far too unkind 20th century of invasion, control, destruction and genocide, seemingly did little to bend their unbreakable spirit. I dive into the nation's capital, Warsaw, to find out what defines their identity and see what makes this new old city tick.

Warsaw Poland Travel Experience
2019-5-16 to 17 Warsaw, Poland
In 1915 during the First World War, the Germans captured Warsaw. However, in 1918 Poland became an independent nation again and Warsaw was made it's capital.
In 1920 the Battle of Warsaw was fought between the Poles and the Communist Russians east of the city. Also in 1920, the Polish Army Museum was founded. Afterward, Warsaw continued to flourish.
However, in September 1939 the Germans invaded Poland. They captured it on 27 September. At that time about 1/3 of the population of Warsaw were Jews (about 380,000 people). From October 1940 the Germans herded Jews from Warsaw and the surrounding area into a ghetto. In 1942 the Germans began deporting Jews from the ghetto to concentration camps.
Later, on 1 August 1944, the people of Warsaw rose in rebellion unsuccessfully. However, on 17 September 1945, the Russians captured Warsaw.
At the end of the Second World War Warsaw was left devastated. Most of its buildings were destroyed. However, it was slowly rebuilt.
Warsaw is a very beautiful city full of history and beautiful buildings.

Things to do in Warsaw, Poland ???????? Travel Guide
The Polish capital, Warsaw, has a lot to offer potential tourists. In this travel guide, I'll talk about where to go and what to do.
My wife and I recently had the opportunity to spend a month in Warsaw. It gave us a chance to get to know the city better and find out what it has to offer as a tourist destination.
When people think of visiting Poland, they usually know that they want to go to Krakow and admire it's beauty but Warsaw isn't usually at the top of their list. The city is a mixture of modern skyscrapers, soviet buildings and at the centre is a splendid old town (rebuilt after WW2).
It has a modern metro system, which makes it an easy city to navigate. It's also affordable, safe and developing rapidly. In this travel guide, I talk about a few of our favourite places to go in Warsaw.
