Yangshuo, China 阳朔县 中国
Yangshuo County (simplified Chinese: 阳朔县, traditional Chinese: 陽朔縣, is a county in Guilin, Guangxi Province, China. Surrounded by karst peaks and bordered on one side by the Li River 漓江 it is easily accessible by bus or by boat from nearby Guilin.
Yulong River valley, use the road to Jinbao from Baisha town 9km north of Yangshuo on the main road to Guilin. Minibuses from Yangshuo bus terminal to Jinbao go near Yulong village). The pretty valley is said to rival the Yangdi-Xingping stretch in terms of beauty. Besides rafting down the river on bamboo rafts. The journey will bring you through many farming villages and past several stone bridges across the river such as the Yulong Qiao and Fuli Qiao.

Overland Southwest China 1 'Yangshuo and hiking the Yulong River'
We took a 31 hour train ride from Beijing to the transit hub of Guilin and hopped on a bus for 90 minutes to the very pretty yet touristy town of Yangshuo on the Li river famous for the cormorant fishermen. Choosing to escape the crowds we got on a bus towards Baisha and got off at the Dragon Bridge and spent a very enjoyable day walking back along the farming trails following the Yulong river and through small Chinese villages back to Yangshuo eventually hitch hiking on some type of weird motorized contraption that was heading our way. A Highly recommended day trip in southwest China.

Bamboo Rafting Experience, Yulong River. Yangshuo
Taking a bamboo raft ride on the Yulong River (or dragon river), a tributary of the Li River, is a very relaxing way to enjoy the highly scenic area south of Yangshuo. Here you can enjoy the stunning scenery and views of country life on a non-motorised raft in the traditional way with a gondolier who steers you over the breakwaters past many small mud-brick villages and farmlands. Once you’re on the bamboo raft, sitting and enjoying the peaceful countryside, the limestone mountains, the beauty of this experience opens out before you. Even if you have cycled the area with a few hidden stretches approaching the river, the view from the river is very different.
Available and recommended river stretches:
Fuli Bridge → Jiuxian docks (1hr 40min, 350) (1hr 45min, less crowded)
Jinlong Bridge (金龙桥) → Jiuxian docks (旧县) (1hr 30min, less crowded)
Yu Long Dragon Bridge (遇龙桥) → Xiu Niu Tang (犀牛塘) (60 min return, crowded)
Yima (骥马) → Shui E Di (水厄底) (60 min, crowded)
Chao Yang Dock → Gong Nong Bridge (2 hrs, crowded)
Yulong Bridge → Gong Nong Bridge (4-5 hrs, crowded)
Yulong bridge → Xia Tang Zhai (1hr 30min, crowded)
Bike Riding through Yangshuo China - Sept 2017 - Macs Adventures
Yangshuo is a picturesque region in Southern China. Known for its dramatic Karst Mountains and stunning landscape scenery.
The best way to get around the area and national park is by bike.
The cycling is easy on flat roads and winding paths along tranquil rivers.
We booked our 4 day private guided tour with Macs Adventures and it didn't disappoint.

It was supposed to be a rest day. But we ended up cycling from Yangshuo to Yulong Bridge. It took us almost 3 hours and a couple of misdirections. Thanks to Alex, Sok Bee, Gabriel, Cheryl and Thiam Peng for the fun ride... and after, the bamboo raft down Yulong River.
This video chronicles the ride from Yangshuo to Yulong Bridge - minus the hiccups in-between.

YANGSHUO BY BIKE (the most incredible scenery!) | China Travel
Today we explored Yangshuo in China by bike (bicycle)! This area is MUST SEE if you come to China, the natural scenery is just incredible!!
We visited Moon Hill which offers beautiful views over the karst mountains, as well as the giant banyan tree (which wasn't quite as impressive!)
We finished the day by cycling along the Yulong river which was so serene. We highly recommend doing this in Yangshuo!

Ancient Xingping - China
What a fantastic adventure as we spent our day in Xingping, with each turn in the road of this ancient fishing village bringing with it new treasures and beautiful people.
When we first arrived, we were quite taken back by the level of road works and destroyed buildings in the town, however we were unaware of the flood that had passed through in 2017. This gorgeous town has come out on top and we were so pleased to be there, eating and buying gifts.

Description
Guangxi Province Vlog: Biking the YangShuo Countryside!
instagram.com/timandglo
October 12, 2014
Day 2 in YangShuo was all about biking! We rented two Giant mountain bikes from our hotel, Phoenix Pagoda, for just 50 RMB per bike per day. We set out at about 10:30 with our bikes and map and didn't return to the hotel until around 7:00 pm. We spent most of the day on quiet country roads that wove through villages and rice fields. It was BEAUTIFUL. The terrain was mostly flat although we did encounter two or three hills.
During the middle of the ride we wound up on West Street, which is the heart of YangShuo's tourist industry. It's convenient for shopping, food and accommodation but is absolutely swarming with large tourist groups, especially at night. We recommend staying in other parts of the city and visiting West Street for shopping and dining. We stayed south of YangShuo town in FengLou village, which is close to the YuLong River.
It helped to have a map, but it also led to some frustration because the map was not up-to-date and many of the paths are unmarked. This meant we got lost...a lot. Lol. At one point we were concerned that we wouldn't make it back to a main road before dark, which fortunately wasn't the case. To avoid similar stresses, we recommend starting your day earlier and having a good grasp of distances on the map, which may not be drawn to scale.
Thank you for watching!! And happy travels!!
See you in four days for our next upload! :D
