133. First City Caravilla Caravan Park, Cairns
This time in Cairns we chose to stay at the First City Caravilla Caravan Park. The Park owners were great and Mark couldn't have been any nicer. He gave us plenty of tips with things to do in Cairns and dealt with any issues very professionally. The park has a great pool, good clean facilities and good reasonable sized sites. The front of the park is a big area to leave your vehicle secured whilst you visit the islands or head further north. There's also a Big Rig parking area available too. There's no real frills to this park, it's fairly basic and therefore the cheaper option in Cairns yet it's only 5-10 mins from the city centre. The park is not pet friendly. There is good Free Wifi and Telstra, Vodafone and Optus all have coverage. Cost to stay was $47 plus $11 for the extra Adult. The park is a Top Tourist park therefore we received 10% discount making it $52.20 per night. Our stay was 10-13th and 17th August 2017
River Tubing through Far North Queensland
A special birthday treat for Peta, we spent the day tyre tubing down a river in Far North Queensland during the wet season. A river filled with rapids, surrounded by rainforest and fallen logs, it was a fun filled family venture. We weren't quite sure who had the most fun, the children or the parents. Splashing was a big part of the day and Daniel even managed to enjoy a packet of Grain Waves chips without getting wet! We came across a few obstacles but that made the adventure even better. .................................................................. Driving Home through a FLOOD to build the TACKLE WALL and ride the MOTORBIKES
Mill Street in the far north Queensland town of Mossman plays host to numerous trains each day during the crushing season as they make their way to and from the mill.The line runs past two hotels, one of which (the Post Office Hotel) features outdoor seating only a couple of metres from the track. A great place to watch trains!

Hiking the Cleveland Way - Part 7, Sandsend to Robin Hood's Bay
Leaving Sandsend at high tide I quickly arrive in Whitby and take a walk out on to the harbour walls before climbing the 199 steps to visit the abbey. From there I make my way along the cliff edges to Robin Hood's Bay before returning to sea a low tide for a walk along the beach.
