Belmonte is a Spanish municipality of the province of Cuenca , in the autonomous community of Castilla-La Mancha . It is located at kilometer 342 of the N-420 road , which runs from Cuenca to Alcázar de San Juan , which is the same as that of Córdoba to Tarragona .
The excavations carried out in the Collegiate Church in 1976 due to the collapse of part of the apse, exposed the ruins of an earlier Visigothic church, perhaps of the fifth century, which proves that the population is older than imagined.
Erroneously in some documents it appears with the name of The Huts, when it turns out that from always it was called Bellomonte . In the Bull of Pope Innocent III a Garcia Bishop of Cuenca called Bellomonte, because of the mountain that surrounded the town.
King Enrique II of Castile , on 20-2-1367, in the courts of Burgos , granted him the privilege of villazgo, exempting him from the jurisdiction of Alarcón and granting them the same privilege as that enjoyed by the residents of Castillo de Garcimuñoz . A similar privilege had previously been granted to him by King Pedro I of Castile in 1361.
All this was very important to turn Belmonte into one of the most important towns in the province and was named Head of the Party of the whole region, because there were all the main administrations as well as in the provincial capital that was and is Basin. Some are the courts, the prison that today is the theater of Belmonte.
The castle of Belmonte is a fortress that rises in the hill of San Cristóbal, to the outskirts of the town of Belmonte , to the southwest of the province of Cuenca . It was declared a historical-artistic Monument belonging to the National Artistic Treasury by decree of June 3, 1931. Currently, it is considered as an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC).
Belmonte Castle is a unique building that, due to its state of preservation, its special structure, and its external appearance, practically the same as it had at the time of its construction, constitutes a valuable heritage treasure. It was built in the second half of the fifteenth century , by order of Don Juan Pacheco , first Marquis of Villena . It was a moment of convulsions and internal struggles in the Kingdom of Castile .

Alarcón is a municipality in the province of Cuenca, in the autonomous community of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain. Located 87 kilometers (54 miles) south of the city of Cuenca, Alarcón spans an area of 120 km² (50 sq mi) at an elevation of 831 meters (2,726 feet).
Alarcon is situated on a promontory within a closed bend of the Júcar River. Not far downstream from the Alarcón Dam, an important reservoir, the town also has the smaller Dam of Henchidero at its doorstep.
Of Iberian and Roman origins, Alarcón first appears in recorded history at its occupation by the Arabs, to whom it owes the construction of the primitive castle on which the existing one is based. The history of Alarcón is governed by its role as a stronghold; however, the castle is not the town’s only precious heritage: it also claims a rich architectural variety, both religious (the Churches of Santo Domingo de Silos, San Juan Bautista, the Santa Trinidad, and Santa María del Campo, as well as the Hermitage of Santa María de la Orden), and civil (the town hall, the House of Villena, and the Castañeda Palace).
The town of Alarcón was declared the site of a Historic-Artistic Grouping (Conjunto Histórico-Artistico) on July 3, 1981. In 1994, artist Jesús Mateo began a project to paint the interior of the old Church of San Juan Bautista, creating the Mural Paintings of Alarcón (1994-2002), which were recognized by UNESCO in 1997 for their global artistic interest.

Top things to do in Seville Spain - Food, Tourist Attractions & top sites
In this episode we show you the top things to do in the Spanish city of Seville (or as the locals say Sevilla). After finding a free parking spot for Trudy, our campervan, we head into the City and the Tourist office to discover the top sites of Seville. We head to the Plaza de Espana - an amazing building and is one of the top tourist attractions in Seville. We even got to watch some traditional flamenco dancing there.
Then we headed to El Rinconcillo, built in 1670 is the oldest bar in Seville and has become one to Seville top attractions. Then onto Feria Market - the main food market in Seville and the perfect place to sample street food and tapas.
In the evening we headed over the river to the Triana district, which is known as the birth place of Flamenco - the famous Spanish dance. This region is also known as one of the top places to eat Tapas.
Our site was visiting the Alcazar - such a wonderful building and gardens it is regarded at the must see top attraction in Seville - and it didn't disappoint.
We loved Seville and it is a city that we will definitely return to.

Arcos de la Frontera is a town and municipality in the Sierra de Cádiz comarca, province of Cádiz, in Andalusia, Spain. It is located on the Northern, Western and Southern banks of the Guadalete river, which flows around three sides of the city under towering vertical cliffs, to Jerez and on to the Bay of Cádiz.
The town commands a fine vista atop a sandstone ridge, from which the peak of San Cristóbal and the Guadalete Valley can be seen. The town gained its name by being the frontier of Spain's 13th century battle with the Moors.
Castillo de Arcos (11th-15th-century castle), a medieval castle of Moorish origin, rebuilt almost entirely in the first half of 15th century. Currently it is a private property, it is not open to the public. It has quadrangular plant with four towers at the corners. It was a military alcázar in the Muslim period. On the cover the shields of the Dukes of Arcos are observed.
Iglesia de la Caridad (church built between the 16th and 17th centuries). Basílica Menor de Santa María de la Asunción, it was erected after the Reconquista on a Visigothic temple and remains of a 13th and 14th c. mosque. The main facade is Plateresque-Gothic style and the facade which faces Plaza del Cabildo is mostly Renaissance. Its unfinished tower, repaired after the 1755 Lisbon earthquake has Baroque air. Since 1931 it is an Artistic-Historic Monument.
Iglesia de San Pedro, it is a 15th-17th c. church built on the basis of an 14th c. Al-Andalusian fortress or watchtower. Are observed different styles, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque, in its tower and facade.
Iglesia de San Agustín, founded in 1539 as Convento de San Juan de Letrán. It was subsequently occupied the convent the Order of St. Augustine of the Observance. With the Confiscation the last Augustinians are expelled and the convent was abandoned. Currently remains the church.
Hospital de San Juan de Dios, a 16th-century hospital, formerly it was called as Hospital de San Sebastián. attached to a hermitage. It had at that time 14 charitable hospitals in Arcos, and reunified in 1596 in San Sebastián.
Palacio de los Condes del Águila, a 15th-century late Gothic-Mudéjar palace. Palacio del Mayorazgo, an Herrerian style house-palace built in the 17th century. It is now a municipal building. Asilo de la Caridad, late-16th century. Edificio del Pósito (granary building) with a stone facade of 1738; it was a wheat store in 18th century, where its takes its name. Years later was a public school. Today it is a health center.
