Newbury is a market town in Berkshire, England, which is the administrative headquarters of West Berkshire. The town centre around its large market square retains a rare medieval Cloth Hall, an adjoining half timbered granary, and the 15th century St Nicolas Church, along with 17th and 18th century listed buildings. As well as being home to Newbury Racecourse, it is the headquarters of Vodafone UK and software company Micro Focus International. In the valley of the River Kennet, 26 miles south of Oxford, 25 miles north of Winchester, 27 miles south east of Swindon and 20 miles west of Reading.     Catmore is a civil parish and small village in West Berkshire about 5 1⁄2 miles southeast of Wantage. Catmore is in the Berkshire Downs and the centre of the village is about 575 feet above sea level. The 2001 Census recorded a population of only 28, making Catmore the least populous parish in Berkshire.In the 2011 Census the Office for National Statistics did not publish Catmore's population separately, but combined it with the neighbouring civil parish of Farnborough. But Catmore remains a separate civil parish, governed by its own parish meeting.
