Reikorangi is a rural locality on the Kapiti Coast in New Zealand's North Island. It is inland, behind Waikanae in the Akatarawa Valley of the Tararua Ranges. The Ngatiawa River and Reikorangi Stream both meet the Waikanae River in Reikorangi. Reikorangi contains a church, a monastery, and formerly contained a school, which closed in 1970 due to the declining population of the small locality.

1. Manawatu Gorge Track Ashhurst
The Manawatu Gorge runs for 6-9 km between the Ruahine and Tararua Ranges in the south part of the North Island of New Zealand, linking the Manawatu and Hawke's Bay regions. It lies to the northeast of Palmerston North. Its western end is near the small town of Ashhurst and its eastern end is close to the town of Woodville.

The EAST woodlot, and its plantings of exotic trees and Kauri : (DSCF1474)

This video starts slowly as I pause to listen for birdsong and listen to the water at the confluence of the two rivers. Then I lose patience waiting for the birdsong to be spectacular so I start wandering to explore and comment the various species here. As I do this, the birdsong becomes a lot more varied and interesting, with seabirds joining the chorus. Taken early Monday evening, 25th November 2013 about 5:30 pm. The low Sun from the West shines brightly through the glade. There is a reserve of 12 Ha / 30 acres of native bush and trees just across the river from this .2 Ha / .5 acre ( approx ) woodlot / arboretum. There are also millions of native trees and plants in the nearby Tararua Ranges of area over 160,500 Hectares ( )
