Medowie is a suburb of the Port Stephens local government area in the Hunter Region of New South Wales, Australia. It is located approximately 34 km by road north of Newcastle, not far from RAAF Base Williamtown and is home to a large number of the personnel stationed there. It was a small rural town until a property and commercial boom in the 1980s and had a population of 8,843 at the 2011 census.Medowie is home to a Rural Fire Station, formed in 1946.The town has two government primary schools as well as a Christian school. 1. Tomaree Head Shoal Bay
Tomaree Lodge is a heritage-listed former military camp and hospital and now residential disability accommodation at Shoalhaven Road, Shoal Bay, Port Stephens Council, New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by the NSW Government Architect's Office and built from 1942 by the NSW Department of Public Works for the Commonwealth Government. It was formerly known as the Tomaree Head Army/RAAF Camp. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Rv DGart Travel Vlog #22. Aerial drone mapping of 150 hectare Mambo Wetlands at Salamander Bay Port Stephens using a Dji Phantom 4 Pro and software program Maps Made Easy. Come join us on the journey as we map 150 hectares of wetlands. As part of our Van life motorhome adventure traveling our beautiful country Australia, with Jack the Boxer puppy and Stephen as Drone Guy.

We had a little surprise 5 hours after the mapping, 80 hectares of the wetlands went up in smoke and burnt out with a bush fire. So 4 days later we where back to make the wetlands again.

So thank you to this job my Drone Mapping skills have improved tremendously and I could not fault Maps Made Easy.
