Ski with me - in Abetone, Italy
Come ski with me and Celine! Abetone is a small ski resort less that 2 hours drive from Florence.
We decided to go all out and book the best hotel in town, Val di Luce Spa Resort, so that we could use the fabulous spa in the evenings.
Abetone Tuscany Italy
Taking the Ovovia from Abetone to the peak of Monte Gomito at about 2000 meters above sea level. Here you see the view of the valleys around and the little town of Abetone in Tuscany Italy. Enjoy the view and the colors of the wild flowers.
Pistoia: Oppio Pass and the suspension bridge | Italia Slow Tour
Italia Slow Tour on the tourist-cycling route along the old Pistoia railway, to the top of the Oppio pass. Enjoy this beautiful scenery with the Apuan Alps, on the right one can spot the mountains of the Abetone with its ski lifts. Our itinerary leads to Mamiano and its amazing suspension bridge on the valley of the Lima. It’s just like we were in Tibet! A bridge suspended between two provinces, two bell towers, two different lineages.

How to: Quick Facts Seasons For Traveling in Italy: When Should You Go To Italy?!
Please watch: Christmas Eve Italian Tradition and Culture
--~--
All seasons are good for traveling in Italy! I show you how to make your visit worthwhile and how to invest the best time and money for what, when, why, and where you are going.
Here are the places I mentioned: Liguria Riviera, Alpines, Apulia, Rome, Florence, the Gulf of Naples, the Sorrento Peninsula, the Lipari Islands, Sicily, Rome, Ligurian and Adriatic Rivieras, magnificent beaches on the Tyrrhenian, Adriatic and Ionian shores, Sardinia, the Alpines by Ortisei, Cervinia, Cortina d’Ampezzo, and the Apennines at Abetone in Tuscany, Rocaraso in Abruzzi, Sila in Calabria, and Mt. Etna in Sicily. Merano and Bessanone in the Dolomites, on the lakes of Lombardy, Rome (again!), Apulia (again!), and on the islands. Sport centers in the Alps but also central Apennines, on the Aspromonte in Calabria, and in Sicily. Don't forget the Ligurian and Neapolitan shores and Sicily.

Positano - Preparing for Rough Sea
It started off as a quick dog walk, and I was going to go through the Cemetery and along the path the other side. But we noticed the sea was changing and all the boats had been taken away to safe harbours. Our kayaks were close to the sea so I had to go down to the beach and move them away from the shore.
Everyone on the beach was preparing for rough seas and over a couple of hours the waves grew considerably. It is supposed to get really bad in 2 days time so I will keep vlogging!

Hike with me - To the cross above Nocelle - Positano
Join me for a hike up to the iron cross on top of the mountain above Nocelle.
I give you clear instructions on how to do this yourselves if you want to hike in Positano and want an alternative to the busy Path of the Gods.
Or if you'd rather join me from your sofa, just sit and watch!
From Piazza Mulini in Positano you can catch a bus up to Nocelle at 20 past every hour (in season).
I would advise against walking up to Nocelle and doing this hike.
I would also advise that you wear proper footwear NOT flipflops or sandals. (Yes, I have seen flipflop wearing tourists in bikinis on the Path of the Gods and it just looks, and is irresponsible and stupid)

Exploring Naples above and below!
We escaped Positano after Christmas and spent a couple of days with all the family in Naples. We took them up to the Castel Sant'Elmo in Vomero with amazing views over the city and then we took them to Napoli Sotteraneo, Naples Underground where we say wartime graffitti and squeezed through very narrow tunnels.
We stayed at the Grand Hotel Oriente, right in the centre of town and right by the main shopping street (Via Toledo).
If you want to do this Underground tour (it is one of 4) then you have to meet the tour guide outside the Caffe Gambrinus . Check the website for meeting times:
