Akçaabat is a town and district of Trabzon Province in the Black Sea region of Turkey. It is located to the west of the city of Trabzon. It covers an area of 385 km² and the elevation is 10 m. The town has an estimated population of 48,315 . Akçaabat is a coastal town known for its local soccer team Akçaabat Sebatspor, its kofta dish Akçaabat köfte and the Akçaabat Horonu dance. Akçaabat has hosted an international folklore festival since 1990, and it was a venue for Archery and Athletics competitions of the First Black Sea Games held in 2007.

    Mount Sis is a mountain in Görele, Giresun Province, Turkey. Its elevation is 2182 m . Mount Sis Festival attracts hundreds of people from Giresun and Trabzon to visit Mount Sis. During the festival, traditional costumes are worn by visitors. The first Mount Sis Festival is thought to be held in 1830s. Mount Sis has also a plateau which is called Sis Dağı Yaylası in Turkey.

    Karaca Cave is a network of caves located near the town of Torul in Gümüşhane Province, Turkey. Although the cave was known to the people living in that region, it became open to tourism as a result of the scientific research conducted by Sukru Eroz, a geological engineer from Cebeli Village, between the years 1983-1990. Prof. Dr. Remzi Dilek and his team from the Department of Geological Engineering at the contributed a lot of research and scientific studies of the cave. As a result of these studies, it was opened to tourism in 1996 after the Ministry of Culture and Tourism was informed and the cave was officially registered.
