Bruny Hotel on Bruny Island Tasmania provides a fantastic camp place for just $5.
Located at Alonnah on the Western side of Bruny Island there are no amenities but there are toilets in the pub plus public toilets and dump point just a short walk or drive down the road next to the Police station.
The camp ground is pet friendly.
I had Telstra coverage but no Vodafone.
Located directly opposite the ocean, the pub provides superb meals.
Cost was $5 per night. See the staff at the pub when you arrive.

Part one of two videos taken during a trip over the Bruny Island Tasmania during June 2018. On our Trip to Bruny Island we visited many spots on the Island. Unfortunately the Neck was close.. so too were some places we would have liked to visit like Get Shucked.
Bruny Island is just as much fun to travel to during the winter time.

Bruny Island - Adventure Bay Retreat
There aren't too many places that I would consider packing up the family and moving to... In fact, other than Bruny Island, I can't think of another off the top of my head. The crystal clear water, beautiful scenery, the fresh local produce, and of course, Adventure Bay Retreat.
We loved our stay here and will definitely be coming back, this time, with the kids. Whether your looking for a comfortable place to use as a base to explore all that Bruny Island has to offer, or a one stop shop to spend a relaxing long weekend, Adventure Bay Retreat has everything. Push bikes to use at your leisure, a cubby house, board games for kids and adults, kayaks, and a massive swing that I still wish that I had had a go on, this is the place. The video says it all....

Fly over Bruny Island....must do. We explored the island by car and foot 1st...drove past Peter the pilots place saw the sign and thought lets do it. 40 + mins of great islands beaches nearly all untouched.
