Norway Travel 2017 | Landscape of the Island Senja | Sony A6300
[Norway Travel Diary 2017] This summer we took a nice little road trip to the beautiful country Norway (Norge) including the travel through the island Senja with my new Sony A6300 camera.
Norway is an epic country covering beautiful landscapes and mountainviews, not to forget the animals inhabiting the island, like reindeers and moose.
This is just a small part of us traveling to Norway. Because the video footage was so much to dig through, I decided to make it a serie of videos about our trip. How long will the serie be? I don't know, we'll see. But for now enjoy this video of the stunning Island of Senja! General information can be found below.
General info about Senja:
Senja is Norway's second largest island, located far above the Arctic Circle. Here you are greeted by an awe-inspiring mix of sea, mountains, beaches, fishing villages and inland areas, all within a few hours drive. The Oceanside of the island is precipitous with sculptural rocks and colourful fishing villages in sheltered coves. The inland is filled with mountains, lakes and forests, and the mainland-facing coast sports unexpectedly green fields.
In summer you are welcome to pick and choose from a wealth of trails for hiking and biking. The scenery in Senja and Central Troms is full of contrasts, with the midnight sun and the northern lights, depending on the season.
You can paddle between the hundreds of islands the region has to offer, with sandy beaches, bird life, and breathtaking views of mountain peaks, through calm waters offering excellent conditions.

The Beauty of Senja - A Hiking Trip to Northern Norway with Max Rive and Daniel Kordan
A hiking trip to the true spirit of the mountain world in a less travelled area of Northern Norway: Welcome to Senja. The weather in Norway can always change quickly, especially in the mountains. Sometimes you just have 5 minutes of light, then rain showers and clouds are passing like trains and suddenly the sun comes out and shows us beautiful rainbows and incredible colours up in the sky.
It was quite painful to get up for sunrise at 2 am in the morning after just two hours of sleep in a tent and then hike to the summit. It's the ultimate challenge for every landscape photographer: You should give it a try - even if chances are low, there's still hope for a tiny gap in the clouds that will reward you with the most fantastic light. These moments let you forget all your efforts.
I'm very happy to share a new video of my series The Beauty of, this time in beautiful Senja together with some talented photographers from all over the world. Special thanks to my friends Max Rive Photography and Daniel Kordan, it's always a pleasure working together with you guys.
