It is within the commune of Gavarnie, the department of Hautes-Pyrénées, and the Pyrénées National Park. Major features of the cirque are La Brèche de Roland and the Gavarnie Falls. 4. Pont d'EspagneCauterets Pont d'Espagne is a stone-built bridge that spans the Gave de Marcadau at the point where it meets the Gave de Gaube, near one of its sources high in the French Pyrenees. The Funiculaire du Pic du Jer, or Pic du Jer Funicular, is a funicular railway in the French département of Hautes-Pyrénées. It links the pilgrimage town of Lourdes with the summit of the nearby Pic du Jer. The funicular was constructed in 1900.

The funicular inaugurated in 1900 makes it easy to reach the summit of Pic du Jer. The lower station (or station below) to take the funicular is located at the exit of Lourdes towards Argelès.
