Trim Castle from behind (Nov. 2015) Braveheart location, Co. Meath, Ireland
Trim Castle in County Meath, Ireland on November 16, 2015, where the movie Braveheart was filmed. It's the largest Cambro-Norman castle in Ireland! It was beautiful especially in the back on a cool fall day. You can see all of the colorful autumn leaves and the river (River Boyne) flowing right behind the castle. We ended up having lunch right across from the castle at a tourist restaurant with full pictures of Mel Gibson and behind the scenes filming of the movie. It was pretty awesome!
