These lines of life are not only known for their natural beauty, but also an important part of the cultural and spiritual life of people.
1. Cahabon River, Guatemala:
The Rio Cahabon is a 196-kilometre (122 mi) long river in eastern Guatemala. 2. Loire River, France:
The Loire is the longest river in France and the 171st longest in the world. With a length of 1,012 kilometres (629 mi), it drains an area of 117,054 km2 (45,195 sq mi), or more than a fifth of France's land area, while its average discharge is only half that of the Rhône.
It rises in the highlands of the southeastern quarter of the French Massif Central in the Cévennes range (in the department of Ardeche) at 1,350 m (4,430 ft) near Mont Gerbier de Jonc; it flows north through Nevers to Orleans, then west through Tours and Nantes until it reaches the Bay of Biscay Atlantic Ocean at Saint-Nazaire.
The Loire River is a World Heritage Site, surrounded by vineyards, blooming flower gardens and beautiful castles.
3. Zambezi River, Africa:
The Zambezi is the fourth-longest river in Africa, the longest east-flowing river in Africa and the largest flowing into the Indian Ocean from Africa.
The area of its basin is 1,390,000 square kilometres (540,000 sq mi), slightly less than half of the Nile's.

The Zambezi's most noted feature is Victoria Falls. Other notable falls include the Chavuma Falls at the border between Zambia and Angola, and Ngonye Falls, near Sioma in Western Zambia.
4. Nile River, Egypt
The Nile is a major north-flowing river in northeastern Africa, and is the longest river in the world, though some sources cite the Amazon River as the longest.
The Nile, which is about 6,650 km (4,130 mi) long, is an international river as its drainage basin covers eleven countries, namely, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan, Republic of the Sudan and Egypt. In particular, the Nile is the primary water source of Egypt and Sudan. Nile River is associated with the desert, pyramids, pharaohs of Egypt.
5. Thames River, United Kingdom:
The River Thames , known alternatively in parts as the Isis, is a river that flows through southern England including London. At 215 miles (346 km), it is the longest river entirely in England and the second longest in the United Kingdom, after the River Severn.
It flows through Oxford where it is called the Isis, Reading, Henley-on-Thames and Windsor. The lower reaches of the river are called the Tideway, derived from its long tidal reach up to Teddington Lock.
6. Amazon River, South America
The Amazon River in South America is the largest river by discharge volume of water in the world, and by some definitions it is the longest.
The headwaters of the Apurímac River on Nevado Mismi had been considered for nearly a century as the Amazon's most distant source, until a 2014 study found it to be the headwaters of the Mantaro River on the Cordillera Rumi Cruz in Peru.
The Amazon River occupies a large part of South America, spread over the territories of Brazil, Colombia and Peru. The most famous fish here is piranha carnivorous fish, a fish that attacks humans.
