This video is showcasing the vacation we had in Bantayan Island, Cebu Philippines. This year we decided to explore the northern part of Cebu. We did not make mistake in visiting the island. We enjoyed our stay at the Kota Beach Resort with the view of the white sand and the marvelous beach in just a couple of steps. Also, we ventured ourselves in checking out the Paradise Beach, apart from eating some delicious meals.

Traveled to the MALDIVES of Northern Cebu, Philippines; BANTAYAN ISLAND! it was my first time to go there last year when I went backpacking in the Philippines. Bantayan island has one of the beautiful beaches in Cebu and perfect for budget travel! Only stayed overnight and went straight to Malapascua island which will be the next travel vlog I'll be posting!

From Cebu City, we took a cab to North Bus Terminal Cebu.
- Take a shuttle for Php 180/ USD 3.5 to Hagnaya Port
- Ceres bus to Northern Cebu is cheaper but slower

Hagnaya port to Santa Fe Ferry boat: Php 180/ USD 3.5 per person
Tricycle ride to Hotel: Php 40/ USD 0.8

Tricycle island tour: Php 500/ USD 10 for whole day to explore the island

Cebu Camotes Islands Top Tourist Attractions with Todd Hata

HOW TO GET TO CAMOTES ISLANDS?

We flew in via Mactan Intl Airport in Cebu City. Then the next day we proceed to Cebu Ferry Passenger Terminal 1 and we took the 6:00am ferry ride with Oceanjet. Travel time was 2 hours.

Cost: P500 / way + P25 Terminal Fee (Cebu City) + P5 Terminal Fee (Camotes Island)

Cheaper Alternative but Longer Travel Time from Cebu City:
From Cebu City, take a bus from Cebu North Terminal heading to Danao port. Take a passenger pump boat from Danao to Poro, Camotes Island. Total travel time from the city is 4 hours.
Cost: P35 (bus) + P220 (boat) - please reconfirm rates upon arrival there

WHERE DID WE STAY IN CAMOTES ISLANDS?

For budget conscious traveler like me but needed an aircon room, I chose RMS Travelers Inn which I booked via Agoda. Nothing fancy. Room is big but toilet/shower is really small. (Yung tipong pwede ka ng maligo while doing that other thing. Hahaha.) We only stayed there for less than 12 hours just to sleep.

HOW ABOUT THE TOURS?

As soon as you got out of the pier, there will be a lot of tricycle / multicab drivers who’ll welcome you and offer you their services. All of them are accredited by the Tourism Office so you can choose what your gut tells you is a good one.

But based on our experience, I highly recommend Kuya Jed’s services. Siya yung napili naming that time and glad we did because he’s super nice. He’s one of those guides’ who goes for an extra mile just to make his clients happy. OK lang sa kanya kahit ginabi na kami and he even invited us to his relative’s house for lunch since it was the town fiesta then. Yes! Libre lunch!
