Great Picnic Spot - Damodar River at Palla Road, Burdwan, West Bengal, India
The banks of Damodor River at Palla Road, Burdwan, West Bengal is really a great picnic spot. Damodar River is a river with a beach and sand dunes. The place looks like a desert but feels like a sea.
Palla Road is a railway station over the Howrah-Bardhaman Chord Line section in the Eastern Railway Division of Indian Railway. It is nearly 15 kilometer from Burdwan and 75 kilometer from Howrah or Calcutta.

Burdwan or Barddhaman has two major bus stands - Alisha and Nawabhat. This place is called Alisha. Buses move to 2 places of Kolkata i.e Esplanade, which is near Dharamtala and another is Karinamoyee, which is near the airport.
