The Picos de Europa National Park is a 647 square kilometre wonderland that straddles Asturias, Cantabria, and Castile and León in Northern Spain. Its proximity to the Atlantic coast, the Costa Verde, creates a temperate climate more akin to that of the British Isles. Golden sandy beaches are pounded by surf and craggy limestone cliffs cascade down into the cold, wild waters of the Bay of Biscay. Inland, forests of deciduous and coniferous trees sweep up towards the towering limestone monoliths, spires and peaks that crown the Picos de Europa National Park. In between lie rich alpine meadows misty with flowers. There are endless opportunities for day hikes and multi-day treks in this region, including the most popular, the Cares Gorge from Puente Poncebos to Caín and that from the mountain village of Bulnes to the Refugio de la Vega de Urriellu. Known as Picu Urriellu in Asturian, the 2,519 metre high Naranjo de Bulnes, a towering chimney of grey white Palaeozoic limestone which sits behind the refugio, is the symbol of the Picos de Europa National Park and is on every Spanish rock climber’s wish list. Both hikes are featured in this film.

GUADAMÍA is famous for more than one reason, so let’s take them one by one: first of all because Guadamía is a beautiful and rather unusual beach, second of all because it belongs to 2 municipalities (LLanes and Ribadesella) and the third reason is that the cliffs surrounding this beach are truly spectacular. It happens that a lot of coves or beaches are called Portiello in Asturias, this one being the only one in Ribadesella. There are 2 more in Llanes and one in Cudillero, but again, although we saw most of the beaches and hidden coves in Asturias we surely missed some. Impossible not to.
A beach that is not a beach but a cove and a name that’s not exactly its name, how interesting is that? It’s hard to say the name of this place, it is Arbidel, Aberdil or Arvidel? That’s because in Spanish both V and B are pronounced B and so the name can be written. Arra is the last beach in the municipality of Ribadesella, running along the bottom of windswept cliffs battered by the sea, in an area where sandy beaches are nonexistent. This beach shows up on all guides and maps, being promoted by the local tourism board.
Tereñes is not a beach like all the other beaches in Ribadesella are. It does not have sand and it never had – it is a cove hidden between cliffs where dinosaurs used to spend their summer vacation long, long time ago Located in the village of Tereñes. Small cove situated to the east of the village of Ribadesella and separated from Santa Marina beach by the Corbero or Atalaya mountain, home to the hermitage of the Virgen de la Guía (The Guiding Virgin). This hermit was built on top of the cliffs and can be visited
Santa Marina is a long beach of fine sand located in the town of Ribadesella, to the left of the river Sella estuary. It’s an urban beach surrounded by a promenade considered one of the main attractions of the Eastern side of Asturias, along with the towns of Llanes and Cangas de Onís/Arriondas
Vega is the first extended beach belonging to the municipality of Ribadesella (coming from West) and one of the most popular of Asturias. It has been declared a Natural Monument because of its great botanical interest and dunes – it’s interesting cause it also contains the remains of dinosaurs footprints at its Eastern end.

O parque natural Ría de Barosa é un espazo natural situado na provincia de Pontevedra (Galicia), no concello de Barro, moi próximo ao seu límite norte, na fronteira co concello de Portas.
Caracterízase pola presenza do río Agra, cuxas augas movían antigamente unha serie de muíños situados no seu curso. En galego denomínase a este conxunto de muíños muiñada (muíño é muíño en galego normativo) sendo o seu caraterística o que a auga saínte da turbina dun muíño alimenta a entrada do muíño inmediatamente inferior.
Trátase dun conxunto de muíños que se estenden pola fervenza do río Agra e pola parte superior. É rechamante esa situación dos muíños pola que, coa caída da auga o son que ocasiona e o bonito do lugar, produce admiración nos visitantes. Esta zona foi acondicionada para as visitas, restaurándose algúns muíños e consolidando as estruturas doutros, xunto a unha intervención na natureza do lugar. Dese modo hai camiños e pontes para poder gozar da zona, así como áreas de descanso, merendeiro e un bar-asador Muiñada de Barosa.El visitante ademais pode darse un baño nas pozas que se forman.
Parque Natural de Ria Barosa en Pontevedra ( Galicia )
El parque natural de Ria Barosa es un espacio natural situado en la provincia de Pontevedra (Galicia ) en el concello de Barro, muy cerca de su límite norte , bordeando el municipio de Puertas .
Caracterizado por la presencia del río Agra, cuyas aguas anteriormente movido un número de molinos situados en su curso. En Galicia se llama este conjunto de molinos muiñada (molino muiño es normativo en gallego) siendo sus características que la salida del molino turbina de agua alimenta una entrada de molino inmediatamente inferior.
Se trata de un conjunto de molinos que se extienden de la cascada y el río Agra en la parte superior. Llama la atención que la situación de los molinos, con la caída del agua son hermosas y que lleva el lugar, produce admiración en los visitantes. Esta área fue preparada para las visitas, restaurándose algunos molinos y consolidar otras estructuras, con una intervención en la naturaleza del lugar. Así, hay caminos y puentes para disfrutar de la zona, así como áreas de descanso, de picnic y un bar - parrilla Muiñada de Barosa . Es visitantes también pueden tomar un baño en las pozas que se forman.
The Barosa Estuary Nature Reserve is a natural area located in the province of Pontevedra (Galicia ) , in the City of Clay, very close to its northern boundary , on the border with the City of Portas.
It is characterized by the presence of the Agra river, whose waters once moved a number of mills located in your course. In Galician calls this set of muiñada mills ( mill is Muíño in regulatory Galician) being its caraterística the leaving water turbine mill feeds the mill input immediately below.
This is a set of mills that extend Agra cascade river and top. It is striking that situation by Mills , with the falling water and the sound that brings the beauty of the place, produces awe in visitors. This area was equipped for visitors , restoring some mills and consolidating other structures , together with a statement in the nature of the place. Thus there are roads and bridges to enjoy the area as well as rest areas , picnic area and a bar and grill Muiñada Barosa . Visitors can also take a dip in the pools that form .

Pontevedra es una ciudad y municipio de España, capital de la provincia de Pontevedra, a la que da nombre. Se ubica en el noroeste de la Península Ibérica y pertenece a la comunidad autónoma de Galicia.

A éstos se suman por su relación con la ciudad el municipio de Bueu, también en la Ría de Pontevedra, y los municipios limítrofes de Barro y el de A Lama, pertenecientes a la comarca de Pontevedra con lo que la población del Área Metropolitana asciende a 186.674 habitantes. Según el Instituto Gallego de Estadística (IGE) la de la capital pontevedresa es la única área urbana gallega que crecerá en habitantes a nueve años vista (2023). Pontevedra se ha situado al frente del crecimiento demográfico en Galicia durante la crisis e incrementa continuamente su población frente a la pérdida de habitantes o estancamiento de las otras grandes ciudades gallegas.

El primer parque nacional del mundo! - Yellowstone National Park
Ninguna duda. La visita al parque fue una de las experiencias más inolvidable que vivimos en U.S.A. Es tan grande que cada rincón tiene su particularidad, sus paisajes, pero hay un elemento común a todas las zonas, la corteza terrestre es tan delgada que por todas partes afloran aguas calientes o termales en sus vertientes. Un contraste impresionante de colores. Algo que nos sorprendió mucho es saber que los colores que se aprecian son provenientes de diferentes colonias de bacterias que viven, si viven!, en las diversas capas de barro caliente y rocas, en diferentes temperaturas del agua.
